- The Charger will retain its title as the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car, led by the all-new, all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, which delivers 670 horsepower and is expected to reach 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and to run the quarter-mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds. Electrified models also include the 496-horsepower 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T.
The all-new Dodge Charger features standard all-wheel drive for all models and will offer performance choices via multi-energy powertrain options - the 550-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. powered by the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane High Output engine and the 420-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. fueled by the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane Standard Output engine.
Two-door coupe versions of the all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T will begin production in mid-2024. Production of all-electric four-door Daytona Scat Pack and R/T models will begin in the first quarter of 2025. Gas-powered two-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. and four-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. models are also scheduled to begin production in the first quarter of 2025. The all-new Dodge Charger will be built at the Windsor (Ontario) Assembly Plant.
The Dodge brand’s announcement of the all-electric Charger Daytona models and cleaner-running Hurricane engine-powered Charger SIXPACK offerings align with the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, in which electrified and more efficient propulsion systems will help Stellantis cut its global carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and lead the transportation industry by achieving net carbon zero by 2038.

How can ANYONE EXPERIENCED with performance, call a no noise, no fuel, no old school power, a muscle car! These things are mutants designed for those too lazy( or just inept) to understand the meaning of true power and what it takes to achieve it. Shame, for shame, on the BIG THREE for trying to substitute batteries ( that imo aren't good enough yet) for the sheer thrill of the internal combustion engine. To hell with these techno slackers that can't work a manual shift and think top speed makes a muscle car. Stay true, stay strong, and keep on combustion if you want to use the TERM MUSCLE CAR

The 707 horsepower Hellcat is slower than the original 1970 Challenger in the quarter mile and it has around 300 less horsepower, because it is 1000lbs lighter. There should be absolutely no reason for that. The EV version should easily be even heavier. It has been a long, long time since they understood what a power to weight ratio is. Fake noise and vibrations are also lame AF. It is a car, not a children's toy.

I know the push for EV is so big, but right now, infrastructure is not ready. Instead of all EV, why not PHEV, with a hybrid system, could be driven in any location, fewer materials used on batteries, and a small ICE to generate or charge battery. Honda and Toyota have some this and proved it possible. Mazda is looking to bring back a single cylinder Wankle rotary to charge its batteries with possible 500+ miles to 8 gallons of fuel. Consider the possibility.

Elections have consequences.
Muscle cars were purpose built around their engines. With electric, you can wrap any shape you want around a battery pack and all you have is an electric car. Muscle cars are called "muscle cars" because of the horsepower of their engines. Dodge didn't create an electric muscle car; they created an electric car with the quasi body of an early 70's actual "muscle car". You can wrap a battery pack with any shape you want; pipe fake engine sound out the back created by a computer and all you have made is an embarrassment no real car person would ever consider. The biggest drawback to a gas powered engine in this car is the fact that it was designed around a battery pack first and the actual engine powered model was an after thought created when Stellantis figured out they had thrown the baby out with the bathwater.
