    I’ve seen these mountains all over social media, but somehow this is my first time seeing aerial shots of them. Thanks for sharing!

    I have had the opportunity to go to both mountains, Vinicunca more impressive, Palcoyo the walk is much quieter but Vinicunca is just as beautiful.

      So if you were only to see one, and the singles criteria which is a more spectacular view, you would choose vinicunca?

      @@ianhenry4344 if you want a demanding hike but full of impressive landscapes, Vinicunca could be a great personal challenge. If what you want is a relaxed and short walk through mountains of colors, then Palcoyo is the option. Each one has its own!

    Long story short Polcoyo is way much better and underrated. I have been there checking BOTH last month. I recommend Polcoyo.

    This was an awesome video. Great information. I have a client going to Peru and I wanted to see if this would be worth adding to the itinerary during the winter time. It looks just beautiful with the snow. Interesting to learn there is another finding of a rainbow mountain to explore.

    Great video... thanks, Kevin! Did the 4-day Ausangate trek to Vinicunca in 2017... wish we knew about Palcoyo at the time.

    I'm going to Peru in November and I won't be getting a horse to go up the mountain (I love hiking), however, you seemed to feel very strongly about people not getting a horse and I was just curious why.

    Rainbow mountain stated in Quran, Sura fatir, chapter 35, verse 27.
    وَمِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ جُدَدُۢ بِيضٞ وَحُمۡرٞ مُّخۡتَلِفٌ أَلۡوَٰنُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُودٞ
    (Yusuf Ali)
    And in the mountains are tracts white and red, of various shades of colour, and black intense in hue.
    (Sahih International)
    And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.
    Those are other version of translation.
    Thanks

    Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky with which We bring forth fruits of different colours? And in the mountains are streaks of varying shades of white, red, and raven black;
