- www.truthforlife.org || By: Alistair Begg - (1 Samuel 28:3-25) As the Philistines gathered their forces, King Saul was alone and desperate. Afraid for his life, he inquired of the Lord, but after years of ignoring God’s word, Saul received no answer. He then disguised himself and consulted a medium, only for an apparition of Samuel to tell him of his impending death. As Alistair Begg explains, Saul’s hopeless situation reflects our natural condition apart from Christ. If we hear God’s voice today, we must not harden our hearts.
Pastor Alistair has become one of my favorite preachers of The Word; he balances the promises in God's Word with the warnings in His Word. And such a balanced Gospel seems to be- sadly- very lacking from the pulpits today.
Please Father do not stop striving with me - or my family and loved ones! Indeed please Father have mercy on us and soften our hearts to Your word.
Amen, I do thank God for our blessed hope he provided for us.
God bless Alistair Begg.
I love your teaching Pastor. And......I just studied this passage....makes it all the better.
Great message Pastor Begg. Urim.....ooooo reeeem :)
Lord keep our ears tuned to your voice and the leading of the Holy spirit. Let us always obey you. Thank you Alistair. Ann from South Africa 👏
Glory to God
To God be the Glory for the things he has done
If you hear his voice, harden not your heart (Heb 3:15) It COULD have devastating consequences!
Thank you, Pastor,
But GOD, through our Lord Jesus Christ! Repent and humble yourself under the Mighty hand of GOD! Stop listening to the diviners and mediums for they only bring up devils and liers not ithe truth of the Word.
"When the world goes upside down it really goes upside down." How true.
Amen
That could not been Samuel because it says 1 Chronicle 10:13-14 “Saul died for consulting a medium and did not consult God”
The scripture is teaching that God had no part in that experience. That message that the medium spoke to Saul was hopeless and Christ-less.
Very interesting sermon.
not ithe but the truth of the Word.
This made me think of Abraham in Genesis 22 willing to obey God and trust him in the binding of Isaac on Mount Moriah check spelling . He trusted God or said not my will Lord even what ever is the outcome you still will I trust? Is it so. Teach me please. Please pray for the salvation of my three children . John 6:44 it is up to God he knows not me what ever may I be faithful. Lord be merciful to me a sinner. I got ungraded in Cambridge univ O' level English so you see I am a dunce cap. Teach me as fear is my companion and Prayers helps and teachings as yours when I am lent this computer.
i will pray for you and your three children,
How do we do a Jonah 3 Repentance and a Daniel 9 Repentance. Thank you. The panic, anxiety and fear above the navel or nausea in these days of "Corona" Thank you a million. I enjoy your teachings especially Daniel.
I imagine the mediums shock much as Whoopi Goldberg’s scammer character in Ghost ! Don’t mess with stuff best left alone
