If your bhops are “sticking” to the ground, make sure you aren’t playing on 144fps. There is a bug with bhopping on that framerate, cap your fps to 140 using the steam launch options.
Bro I’ve been wondering why tf this has been happening. I just thought my timing was dog shit 💀
Does it only happen on 144? Seeing you at 240 makes me think yes, but I've had this on 170 too
@@moldoveanucosmin8369 not sure of all the framerates, but I know 144 and 300 are bugged.
@@Unforgivenn bro fr 💀💀
I play 165 and it stopped doing that as soon as I swapped off 144. What a weird glitch
Awesome to see such a comprehensive guide from one of the top lurchers out there. Fantastic to have such a resource 👍
mokey i guess you're the best person to ask this, I had to part with my wooting keyboard because im a broke student but I use a 125hz brown switches normal keyboard now, do you think this kind of movement is still feasible? [I can't hit superglides at all on this, i guess because of the scan frequency, while I could hit superglides with 90% accuracy on the wooting)
@@zaks7I'm no mokey or sniper but you probably can
Mokey you literally say this and then you don’t advocate to the devs that all config files should be taken out of the game, only controller ones that enable tap strafe. Your existence makes me sick.
i can hit superglide on 62.5hz polling rate membrane keyboard. It will be more difficult but still possible@@zaks7
If mokeysniper respects someone then I know I can trust the channel
I’ll give a sub
probably the most comprehensive neo guide to date, the slowed-down examples are a really good touch
so glad you took the time to make this video this is the lurch video i needed still a work in progress but after slowing this down im hitting the forward lurches consistently
Thanks man, this guide was really useful. I love how you slowed it down multiple times and showed what u were pressing unlike other CZcamsrs where they just have a 2min video of what binds to press n that’s it.
This is BY FAR the best neo strafe guide I've ever watched.
Both you and mokey make by far the best movement guides out there, Keep it up!
Thanks a lot! I started lurch strafing 2 weeks ago and I had no idea what I was doing wrong. This helped alot😀
Hey man, just wanted to say thank you so much for this guide, after just over a week of practising I managed to go from just wall bouncing in games to implementing lurches and neo strafing into my fights! Easily the best guide out there, thank you man
Best movement guide I have ever seen, thanks for creating this guide
one of the best lurch guides I've ever seen, keep it up man🔥
I swear I don’t regret subscribing to your channel one bit, your truly the goat. 👏
Xzylas is the reason i started learning movement, watching this guide i instantly improved with lurching, I'm so glad this guy is teaching other people to do crazy stuff like this, Thank You Xyzlas!
I really like the follow along section of the video. That will be extremely helpful to learn the timings, which is what most people struggle with. Really good guide!
Thanks jonza :)
amazing stuff. for some reason im aiming WAY better with the 131 grip. so not only did u teach me movement, u made my aim better too. subbed.
people who said he was using configs real silent now
Thanks for making one of if not the best lurch guide out there.
You are an absolute legend for this. This is by far the best lurch guide out there imo. Simplified for my dumb brain and thoroughly explained. Just like your previous movement guide.
Glad it helped :)
Not only are you the master of Apex movements, you are also a genius at making great videos.
Thank you so much. I am so glad I subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for the kind words
Woah! This is the best tutorial video I've ever seen! Thank you
I swear you are the MOST impressive Octane main to touch this game. I stumbled upon Leamonhead first and I was super impressed, but you pushed it to another level🔥🔥🔥

Honestly my two favorite streamers they have 2 kinda different play styles and honestly I say they are around the same skill level
Honestly my two favorite streamers they have 2 kinda different play styles and honestly I say they are around the same skill level
Best guide out there. My main problem was that my muscle memory was making me hold spacebar while trying to do scroll wheel at the same time. I made sure to stop using space bar unless I change directions. That fixed and helped a lot. I'm already starting to get used to the basic stuff
Loved your last earlier video, but this takes the cake. This should be the only guide watch...PERIOD!! All other videos I have watched, don't even come close to this.
thanks man this is gold i've been looking for a guide like this for a while now
thanks for this video, I've been looking for a guide like this for a long time!
honestly man thank you soo much for this guide it helped me master movement and find new ones in the process keep it going man
This video made me just wanna go back to maining Octane. Def gonna practice w/ the slow-mos tonight! Thanks bro!
I haven't watched it yet but i can already tell that that vid will help me a lot
The follow along section is a really nice idea. Great Video!
Thank you!
I love u Xzylas by learning ur mechanics ur making me stay in this game and having fun Thanks U for all ur Hardwork
I have been looking for a video just like this!
Просто лучший! Большинство ютуберов советовали полную чужь, но ты я ближе всего к разельтату в нео стрейфе)
i was practicing for hours trying to learn this yesterday ... i thought youd never make this vid but thank god ;-;
Bruhhh I love you for dropping this
I've been trying this for SOOOO long without even the slightest sign of getting it to work. I watched the first 5 minutes of the video, and I got so much closer than ever before. Ty, Xzylaz! This is the best tutorial on the topic so far
So glad it helped :)
@@xzylas. do you have rapid trigger on?
@@xzylas.does pressing s make u faster while tapstrafing or why are u pressing it the whole time 😭
@@jaden4532think about it as throwing a ball through a tube. If ypu threw a ball at a straight tibe, it would just bounce off it pr smth. But if you threw a ball through a u shaped tube, it would go straight through it and shoot out the ptherside, therefore back at you. Thats what the s is doing. Its creating a track for the momentum to carry through.
holding s while pressing A or D will send you in a straight line in the direction you want to keep, it helps you from strafing into south africa and it also keeps stability when you strafe@@jaden4532
Wow - that guide is very very good! Thank you so much. Im coming from Controller - so stoked to learn all those kind of movement techs
best tutorial, grinded for 1 hour in the range and found it easy to just learn to keep speed first as its basically just bhopping like in cs. Can just hold one direction with that and it's super natural. Then i started adding redirects and could keep the speed going forwards and zig zagging but still struggled on backward redirecting. Came back to watch and then slowed down my movement and it turns out i was hitting the keyboard inputs way too fast along with bad scroll up timing and that was killing my momentum for backward ones. So if anyone else is going forward fine but not back then try slowing down the time between inputs.
Also worth noting that look angle is part of what keeps and gains you momentum as well as this is quake based engine strafe, which is why circling opponents is ridiculously op as you actually gain some momentum due to tracking smoothness perfectly aligning with strafe angle.
Another tip for people struggling is to make sure you jump before you press your redirection buttons. You may be losing momentum cause you only gain lurch for 0.4 seconds after you hit jump. if you misstime your redirects and press the keys while on the ground still you will lose that lurch momentum as it won't register while on ground
Hello from Russia, you are the best octane (OCTANE ADEPT), love your video and guides (strafe aducation start day 1), thank you for your content
Tysm ive been needing this for weeks
Best glide I've never seen❤
I just started practicing k&m more so this is def gonna take me awhile to even do this🔥
I always feel like Im watching Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift 🤣 Awesome Video as always 💖
i learned neo strafe in 1h idk how its possible but tysm for your work
This is the greatest guide
Bro that's insane, спасибо за гайд 😘💕
W Guide 👀 good job Xzylas! This guide is a guide for everyone. There is clarification for every level of player and makes it easy to understand and practice
Appreciate you Eraised, I’m gonna go glide skip to this comment
Thanks hun its the guide i was needed
Really great guide on how to do these, well done.
Thank you Jay
2:41 BRO THAT HELPED ME SO MUCH
im gonna be completely honnest watching this is so freaking satistfying
Really great video explained and hepls me a lot.
Ty so much for a Video like that🎉
i was having problems with this, cause i learned from cfg guides the neo strafe, it is a complete different thing, this is actually a way to make it easier
This is the best I've ever seen
I literally just called it sea saw strafing 😭 didn’t know it was actually possible to neostrafe legit before this vid thanks man
Shut off my pc and was gonna go to bed but now I’m finding myself turning it back on to practice this bahaha thank you so much ❤
Haha good luck, let me know if you need any clarification on anything!
@@xzylas. I'm having a difficult time maintaining a smaller circle when bhopping around a target. i'm scrolling forward like crazy but not sure what i could be missing.
also how long did it take for you to get used to hitting a/d again when lurching back and forth with momentum?
I'm sure it'll just take time & practice but still finding myself holding a/d when sliding either way haha
Дякую тобі друже. Бо я шукав пояснення на ці вправи дуже довгий час, і ось ти. Це чудово! Дякую тобі. В мене не виходить більше двух кіл в нео стрейф. А ты допоміг.
Слава Господу!
Awesome guide!
Me watching this while not even owning a pc simply because i find him entertaining: ☺️🍿
Buy when i do get a pc, imma definitely come back to this, love the videos man, keep up the grind and dont ever give up :3
Back in season 5 i thought about doing the grip you use, so i could aim and shoot while im doing crazy shit, but it was so uncomftorable. I'm gonna give it an honest shot right now, since configs are banned being able to do this is actually impressive for anyone who sees it, they wont just think it's configs. Great video man, thank you for the inspiration to improve :)
Best of luck homie, and thank you for the kind words.
I think people seriously underestimate the amount of work that goes in to being this consistent. Be a good noodle and do your homework if you want to shmove. I promise the muscle memory will develop over time.
Bro deserves so many more subscribers
i just started playing apex and you are inspiring my heart so much. i mainly play valorant and league of legend plus some other chill games like minecraft and terraria but i wanna be like you. i know it will take time and i am ready for it. i hope i can become like you one day.
Thank you so much!
THEE most underrated teacher
awesome guide
Jeeeesus i looked up your name here because i knew that must be a monstar of movement when u killed me doing that neostrafe, that thing is horrible to fight but nice to see its posible without codes or some. New sub, nice vid!
THANK YOU!
thanks 4 that lurchguide
Ur really good for explain lurche I'm gonna try to learn that
And when I be able to do the lurch strafe pls can I'll maybe 1v1 you
i lov u xzylas thanks for your beautiful movement, i follow you from paraguay
very good guide thanks for this
This really helped me alot ty
u got my sub keep up the good work
THANK YOU!!
i love your guides it really helps me out !!😊😊
Aye much love homie
@@xzylas. may i ask you a few questions?
Could you explain as to why the key inputs are not displayed in your videos?
Also how did you pull off movements in limited spaces?
also does perfecting key inputs allow the character to not lose speed?
@@MinecrafterAwf ofc! The inputs aren’t always in my videos because I don’t usually open the software for the input overlay when playing.
As for movement in limited spaces, sometimes when I’m lurching I do end up running into a wall or object and messing up my momentum, but normally when In a confined space I do individual lurches and not chained with bhops.
Perfecting the inputs yes theoretically you wouldn’t lose momentum past a certain point, but there’s a lot of room for error.
okay, thank you
this has help me alot god damn
Bro I Love you so much and i hoped you never quit apex i belive in you. You are the Reason thats i buy me an pc an play on keyboard. Never give up👍
apex keeps surprising me with these ancient hl engine techs
I don’t think I’ll go as far as to learning neo strafes etc, but the lurch tips were very useful even for more basic stuff like Ras strafing (which I find to be more practical) 😊
Nothing wrong with mastering the basics, glad it helped :)
ive been needing this video, thank you!
awesome tutorial. but i would recommend people to learn pitonand figure 8 strafing first. the hook shape metphor is how i learnt too, its so hepful when you realise that. aweseome vid, continue the good owrk
Your movement make me feel dif🔥
thx bro now i can style on kids u earn a sub and like
Finally!!!! 😊
FINALLY TY
it would be nice if videos like this were done on characters other than octane and maybe with no heirloom so we can see what it looks like without the speed boost etc. for a better visual example but otherwise, great video! you go over each step really well and it's super informative :)
he did on wraith for a second
GOOD GUIDE
Dude, this has helped me so much, I learned it under 2 days but mastering it took so many hours
Dude… So that’s why my bhopping felt so scuffed…
Thanks for the 140FPS cap info.
thank you
Good job.very good.
Thanks for the content man! Really valuable information! I just started using tap strafe, I stopped playing the game overall just to improve since maybe season 17, I noticed I couldn't do any of this but since I started using tap strafe it definitely felt something different like I would see you guys doing this stuff like you Leamonhead Treeree and others I had no idea, but since I started using tap strafe I noticed it would act weird sometimes I thought to myself ''this must be it'' now you are confirming and I just need to get used to it, I have other things to learn like my wall jumping is not consistent, do you know a m&k community where I can connect with other like minded individuals? Also I noticed that while I am doing this stuff I only hipfire not sure I will be able to use the 3 fingers like you do but that's a great idea! Thanks for the content buddy! You are a legend! Keep it coming!
Glad it helped out! You can join my discord and ask questions about movement, lots of people there you’ll be able to chat with.
@@xzylas. thanks I was looking for discord servers only found Treeree I am joining right away
I hit on of these a few days ago, dont even know how, im not good at movement at all lol. Anyway, this video will help I guess. thanks
would be sick if there was a neo strafe learning website that came up what to press and if you missed it it would tell you and to get the rhythm down, thanks for the guide though! shits hard 😅
ngl iv gotten the hang of forward lurching but backwards lurch is tricky considering you hold a and s for mini neo strafes but hold a and tap s twice on the actual neo strafe, putting that difference in muscle memory is weird ,really nice guide though ,been wanting to learn this kinda movement for awhile now
Бро, ты один из лучших игроков в Апекс. Смотрю Faide, вы оба очень круто играете
yes, this is good
Very good
