Next video: "I sold my ranger rover to purchase ALL the Nissan 100NX left!"
😂
haha, classic !
😁
Endless possibilities with all these nissans loving this Matt
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can't wait to see the for sale advert on his site: "Nissan 100NX for sale, choice of 12..."
The only used car dealer to have a configurator
Don't scrap 707 just put all the parts of the others on to it and sell it as a project get your money back easy and keeps it alive for some one else to work on
That’s a great idea.
was gonna say, saves all the worse conditon but still usable parts anyway and keeps yet another 100nx on the road!
Or, if there is enough left, use 707 as a pure track car.
He’ll get his money back & more just by selling 707’s remaining parts
Sacrifice one, save many.
Part 3: Alright guys how's it going welcome back. Well today I am in my fourth Nissan 100NX, with Brenda from Bristol in passenger seat.
😂😂 I should get her to do a cameo
Oh thank god I thought you meant another election!!ha ha
There will be “guess what, a surprise, got number 5
*welcome baaaack.
You could always swap out the bits you want and then sell it to me for £500..
A third NX has hit the tow-
I don't know what kind of mid life crisis this is, but I fully support it!
Me too! Lmao
😂😂. Excellent
The 100nx was already on my list. Currently driving an Audi A2, which is also on my list..
My father-in-law has a red 100NX. It was pretty much a minter when it was parked there but has now sat on his driveway unused for around 9 years. Thanks to these videos I will be having a conversation with him about getting it back on the road.
I know someone who will buy it!
There’s a bloke on CZcams who might be interested
@@JeffSmall-tg3ym 😉
These cars! More! I love these bread and butter cars from times long gone.
Me too! I’ll definitely do more
I always preferred "old" Top Gear when they reviewed cars you actually might own!
This is more like bread and sugar, it’s got a bit of zest to it
@@HighPeakAutos Thank you!
You mean you'll put it in your garage and realise you won't want to scrap it.
“My name is Matt and I’m addicted to Nissan 100NXs” admitting this is the first step to a full rehabilitation mate 😂
I think we need to meet Jimmy the Magician on the channel please.
He dissapeared, can't find him.
😂❤😊@@philwinter2156
The National 100NX Collection is now in Romiley... Cheaper than your Range Rover collection phase, and much rarer. Japanese cars can be something really special.
Hahaha indeed
being thoughtful enough to even consider saving these is a massive yes most people would scrap. love when people who can actually afford to save cars save them
That’s right
Great save matt looking forward to the updates on them the latest one is worth gutting and shelve the parts ie all the lights as there is money there good look with your latest project 👍
Can't wait to hear the final costs...... MASSIVELY OVERSPENT!
Haha you know it
Matt is a throu and throu car fruit and nut case like all us on ere lol😅
Looking forward to the next video where you show off your 4th NX. 😉
If the new blue donor has 10 months MOT then you can't scrap it!!
I think it could be saved. We just need another donor car 😂
Old is gold! Can’t beat the older stuff, pre 2006 for me.
Me too
Why 2006 ??
@@80srenaissance67 from experience as someone who’s been in the motor trade driven various cars of all years, pre 2006 have less driver aids, less tech, simple
To work on, didn’t weigh many tonnes and simpler designs. Just my opinion on it.
For me it is pre 2010. After that quality dropped massively. But yeah I prefer pre 2006 but I don't want anything after 2010.
Side note, I would still buy a 2012 car IF it uses pre2010 design, tech etc (pre facelift). I also prefer older engines, like the Renaults 1.9DCI or Renault 1.6 16V
Part 3: I bought another 100nx
and this one definetly will be for parts only
@@kagiv 🤣
Also in part three while driving the just bougut 100nx: It's almost too good to be scr.... Awww sh*t, here we go again... 😂
@@TheBestGames974 yes CJ😂
I wonder how long it’s going to be before Matt starts importing 100NXs from Japan. Talk about cornering the market 🤣🤣🤣
He'll have to rename the dealership to NISSAN 100NX SPECIALIST 😂😂😂😭
Imagine owning most of the 100NXs and controlling the market
The man who saves cars and enjoys what he's doing. Money well spent and you may make a profit and have two good cars and a car for spares. You will become well known as the Nissan 100NX man. Good viewing. await the third video. 😄😄👍👍
Thank you for bringing these quirky, overlooked cars back to their former glory! I totally understand your mindset when you feel like you want to save everything.
Go on Matt, find another one😂. One man owner's club. I think you've found a niche here. These and that post van the other week are pure fun
Matt…..you are such a gem!!! Couldn’t stop giggling when you announced you bought another. Brilliant. ❤
I love that you're trying to save two Nissan 100NX. Proper car lover thing to do.
Your videos are solid, keep up the good work
This is Quality content Matt! Loving it! Cannot believe your bought a third one 😅... Your doing a good thing. I appreciate that and stand by everything your doing with these cars ❤
I would love a similar series with three Saab 9000 2.3 Aeros 😊
Or 3 mk1 Astras.
Wow steaming towards half a million subscribers Matt well done pal! Really enjoy your videos you're very watchable and obviously a decent chap. Wish you all the best!
I love this. A mate of mine had one of these about 15 years back... I say "one" he took it in for an MOT and found out that technically he had two. Front end of a '94 and the back end of a '95 welded together. Which would have been a lot funnier if 5 of us (yes, I know, five, in a car with four seats) hadn't just been on a 300 mile road trip in it.
As I mentioned in your video about the old Passat, I absolutely love your enduring efforts to keep those old cars on the roads. Keep going Matt.
I would be really stuck because I prefer them in blue!
Bravo! Your enthusiasm is well-placed, and I'm looking forward to the next one in this series. Keep up the good work.
The third one has to be saved, for no other reason than preserving the driver label’s ’Morning’ & ‘Wood’ 😎
Nothing you do is a mistake! 💙
Haha thanks
Great video. I think this is the absolute essence of Matt’s channel; a car lover, knowledgeable and with a focus on affordable cars/projects
Must confess Matt a former girlfriend had a NX100 years before I met her which was in 2010. She had just picked up her new Alfa Mito which looked cute but was a dreadful car she had all manner of issues with. No surprises there I hear you say.
I wasn’t familiar with the NX thinking it ugly, weird when I saw one.
Still your posse of the little Nissan outlasted the relationship by 12 years and must say I’m envious, wishing you well with your restorations
Any else twitching with OCD waiting to hear why that stereo was half out? Kept looking left 👀
Haha it’s all explained
Lovin the NX content. Looking forward to see them revived 👌🏻👍🏻
I bet Jimmy loves you coming around, he must think it's money money money Matt.
Rather than scrapping it even after you have taken all the bits you need why not see if anyone in the Nissan owners club would buy what is left as it is so rare. Can't wait to see the white one with the bodywork sorted!
I love this! Please consider taking one of both of these cool little time capsules to the big Japan Classic Sunday in the Netherlands next summer... They'd be in very good company!
Mm
Hello! Im new here! Bought a Nissan 100nx a couple weeks ago as a project ! Great to see someone else loving these ! ❤
Love this series matt. There's just something about the older stuff. Love it
Hi when me and my wife moved to Spain in 2004 we sold are nissan 100 nx and regretted it ever since loving your mini series so far keep it going looking forward to the many thanks brendan
Great content mate as usual.
Thanks
I have a 2009 Zafira 1.9cdti automatic which I bought when it was 2 years old. Had 22,000 miles on it when I bought it. Now has 217,600 miles and running like a dream. Never had an automatic gearbox service
What a smart guy you are, totally saved two classic 100NX's and saved a packet at the same time..genius !!
Loving this series Matt, despite it being about a car I’d never really aspired to own and I’d forgotten about. Great to see you try to keep a couple on the road. Love the channel great content look forward to seeing what happens next! 👍🏼
I could see where this was going when you outlined all that needed replacing, and a bonus it's blue to help the donor projects. Always entertaining Matt, whatever the outcome.
Full agree with your 3rd buy, makes economical repair work sensibility, saves chasing parts, the cost of and delivery cost to.
Absolutely LOVE the little NXs and huge kudos for your enthusiasm and how you are doing what you are doing! Excellent series - looking forward to part 3
Revealing terminology update - "I will definitely scap" to "I will ultimately scrap". What a journey you are leading us petrol-heads on Matt. Thanks.
I'm sure the You Tube revenue will help. I love this type of content.
Thanks! Me too
I was muttering ‘don’t scrap the donor, you never know what you’ll need in the future’ - then you changed your mind and decided to store it. Best plan.
Well done Matt, another fun video. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
I don't know what's going on, but I love it. We need more updates with more NXs. I can just see your entire forecourt filled with NXs like a 90s Nissan dealership.
Absolutely brilliant great content as always
Looking forward to the episode
Thank you
Can’t remember seeing you this excited about a project ( or 2 or 3? ) good fun
I find these ‘rescue’ videos quite interesting. It just goes to show how many alternatives their are to buying a new car there are. Thankyou.
Do more content like this, love it. Love 90's modern classics.
loving the journey with the NX's
I saw the title and assumed the white car had thrown up a bunch of issues and so my immediate reaction was "Don't tell me you bought a third one!"
I don't think it's sad at all. For one, the era of the small, cheap sports car is dead (MX-5 and GT/GR86 excluded) and so these now automotive history. And I personally love seeing this kind of thing. Heck, if I see an 80's Vauxhall Nova I smile and think it's cool to see one still around.
I'm not sure how much Matt's accountant appreciates a cheap £500 classic purchase has evolved into restoring two cars and "scrapping" a third by storing it, just in case, but as Car Enthusiast, I 100% endorse the mental gymnastics Matt has performed to justify these.
I can just hear it, Nissan 100NX if you have a problem and you need help, just call Matt the NX man (to the tune of the A-Team). Seriously well done they look so cool. Cant wait for the next installment. ❤❤
Noooo don’t scrap the 7oh oh 7….. I love that car.
You’re bonks Matt.
Love it. X
Great to see interesting cars saved. Makes me feel better re some of my car decisions.
Haha thanks. We can’t keep scrapping interesting cars
Loving this content... Mad, but I'm invested in 3x Nissan 100NX's all of a sudden! Thanks Matt, looking forward to the next one.
Loving this mini series,
Matt : very rare cars these
Also Matt:
I've brought 3 in a space of a fortnight...;)
Old cars a far mor intresting than modern ones they deserve to be saved i think they are a good looking car well done matt 👍
Not always a good idea to change auto gearbox oil for the sake of it. It's a case of "leave well alone". If the gearbox is having problems then new fluid is a good first stab at a fix. It's something about the solenoids and fluid control which works well with the viscosity of the old oil and might not work so well with newer oil.
Definitely haven't made a mistake, Matt. I'm betting you won't be able to scrap 707 when it comes to it 😂 they're too rare to scrap 🫣 You look like you're enjoying your new hobby... loved the video 👍
Great video yet again Matt. Love the look of the white one! Just wanna say thanks for saving my a** too! Without watching your videos, I would have brought a car with some very shady history! Doing a car history check was well worth it!! Plus the 20% off too was a nice little touch!! Cheers Matt! 👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻
loving the 100nx content matt. it makes sense to buy a donor that has loads of useful parts in better nick, especially now they are getting harder to find parts for. You can't save em all, but if you can prolong the life of others with one, that's ok too!
awesome video, great that you are saving these two cars
I like you. I like the nx and i like this approachable way of getting cars back on the road. Top job.
Matt...I sold Nissan from 88 to 02 ..I loved these bad boys ...so thank you for saving them....as you know it's great to see the white one back on the road
I once pulled the clocks from a fiat marea to change a bulb and what I believe was the real mileage before it was clocked was scratched into the top.
I don’t even like the 100NX, but I’m hooked!
How can these be 30 years old !!! I remember them coming out at the dealers !
Great work keep going ❤
Why don’t you buy a 4th 100NX & you can repair the 3rd one?!
Hahah exactly
But that will inevitably lead to buying a 5th to repair the 4th...... and on it goes. Before you know it Matt will own 50% of registered 100NX's
@@HighPeakAutos why not buy all of them 🤣
Excellent video as ever. A small thing, it's Schutz not Schultz (no L)
Ah ok
Once you've swapped all the bits off 707 i think you should sell it, whatever money you get for it will be all profit when you consider all the parts it supplied, I think it would make a nice cheap project for someone, and it means it can live on!
Excellent content . I love saving older cars .
Remarkable how long these things last. My 90s fiesta was scrap within about 10 years.
Love the way the headlamps form part of the airbraking/ snow collection system
Well done for Saving 2 of them it was worth sacrificing L707 for the greater good
Next week on HPA: ive bought an 8th Nissan 100NX to keep cars 1 through 7 on the road
Hahaha
It’s like Pokémon with cars.gotta catch em all
It is addictive. I remember at one point I owned most of the Citroen CX Prestige Mk1's at one point.
Love the idea of swapping the parts back onto this one and sell as seen.
😂😂😂 3 of them!!! But agreed it is a bargain considering what you need it for.
My only sadness was the comment of filler instead of popping out the dent, but being rational it makes sense given overall works and value of car.
With two 100Nxs (and probably another parts car on the way) you've just become the UK specialist! lol.
I have to give you credit for saving cars!
I use to own one of these, saved it after it had been left to die by its previous owner, the videos of mine that I had are on my channel, love these cars!
About a hundred years ago, I saw a white one with t tops driving in Monument Valley accompanied by a matching white Z car. Oooh 😮
Outstanding content as ever! Never liked these cars but now in my 40s I'm totally into them after seeing your videos 😂 .... older cars just have so much more soul than new ones... love it ❤
Lock up your 100NX's Matts on the prowl!
PS dont scrap L707 😢
By all means take the parts you need, but even then, I'm sure someone would be very grateful for such a fun, classic drive. Please don't scrap it!
Brilliant content and videos Matt. I would have one of these cobalt blue 100nx. They all need saving. I like the idea that someone said to swap all parts between the 3 making white one top, 911 second and 707 third in the condition stakes. You are a true petrolhead first and dealer second.
Love these vids. Brilliant, Matt. We need to see JTM, and you skilfully changing the plates! Keep ‘em coming!
That ml320 I bought after watching your video after 3 years still goes flawlessly, didn't spent 1cent on it apart from oil changes..I service it myself...what a car.😅
Good call to park the blue one , still a fun summer car for someone , I can see it riding off into the sunset to fight another day
I have a 93 "pulsar" (sold as sentra over here) with the same block.... replace all coolant hoses, check out that radiator well, (I just got a new one), cause cylinder heads for these love to crack when they overheat and getting an untracked one is getting really hard. My car was down for 6 months while I went through 3 defective heads before I got a "good" one that required further machining to fix some sloppy work on the pully bolt threads. It drives like a dream, but my steering pump is getting tired, can be grumpy when not driven for a while, but good after a good left and right turn, and it has fresh fluids in too... so fine for now. I bet it does around 10 seconds to 100kph... which feels plenty fast.... the tweed seats last forever and the door cards on mine are all plastic on the inside so I can just use a small toothbrush and a bit of sugarsoap water mixed to a paste to clean the elbow grease that builds up on the door armrest if you drive without long sleeves. and the black trim and rubber just need a wipe with some cheap baby oil.
Loving this project , this Nx brings back memories .
