Honestly the player useable version is extremely easy to dodge it’s only real threat is when strength builds think they can poise through it not realizing it hits too fast to poise through

The move is incredibly hard to dodge when Malenia does it, the player version is powerful, but is one of the most easy moves to dodge, you can outrange it by just going backwards even if you were just in front of the other person
Also bring the flies, they are slow but are heatseeking, it fucks with her dodge function and gives multiple action inputs per cast which is great for baiting a fowl

if he knew how the scarelt flower incantation worked he could have killed the guy with spells while he was stuck in animation. its a cool incantation but one of the worst for pvp in the game
The best way to avoid it is by backpedaling the first few frames of the attack and when she inputs her second swing/phase of the attack you jump past her
I find it funny how malenia boss fight is hard (kinda) and then once you get her goodies, everything about it is garbage from the incantation all the way to her blade which is meh at best.
You can make the sword real good with the right setup. Millicent’s Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Thorny Cracked Tear, Lord of Blood’s Exultation, White Mask, and poise armor

The player's waterfowl dance is incredibly weak. You can literally walk away when an enemy does it and they wont hit you

Its even easier. You can dodge it at melee range by standing under her and rotating 360, she will jump to start the flurry and whiff the whole thing

its surprisingly good in invasions, like a lot of the slow wind-up aoe aows (radahn, waves of darkness, earthshaker, takers flame)
