Was poorly equipped for the fight use a faster weapon with elemental or DoT proc so that you can block or dodge a followup shield attack. When he does the shield bash should roll behind and always stay close if he knows an attack is comming you're screwed if an attack can come at any time the slower attacker and slower reflexes will lose eventually.
Frozen needle is probably the best weapon against this build. The heavy attack is a ranged frostbite attack and costs no FP meaning you can use it as much as you want. Just need good spacing and you'll eventually kill him (if he doesn't use a consumable to remove build-up).

There are a thousand ways to beat that! There are weapons like the encrypted paw that the shield cannot block, the shield does not stop magic 100% either! A mediocre wizard simply walking away and casting spells destroys him, because being overweight prevents him from dodging or doing anything other than walking... not to mention status effects! he simply faced a one-armed man...

The likelihood of someone running kick is freaking low man, AND the guard boost (the stat on the shield which dictates how much stamina is lost when blocking) is JACKED on this shield. The shield is literally on steroids.

You can almost see the “Oh Crap” moment as soon as he ended up using spells 10 times without any effect. The first hit spelled the “Either I die on this hill or he kills me on his” moment.

If the former, I assume it has very high base guard boost (the stat that determines how much stamina is consumed when you block an attack), which is typically increased every ~2 or 3 levels for a shield. As far as I understand, guard boost works like negation, the percentage of the stamina 'damage' the attack deals that the shield negates. The greatshield talisman gives that a flat boost (iirc). If the latter... have you never had an enemy break your stance while shielding because they dealt more hits than your stamina could withstand?

@@crazierthorn10 Are you asking why it would consume no stamina, or why you would want it to consume no stamina?
If the former, I assume it has very high base guard boost (the stat that determines how much stamina is consumed when you block an attack), which is typically increased every ~2 or 3 levels for a shield. As far as I understand, guard boost works like negation, the percentage of the stamina 'damage' the attack deals that the shield negates. The greatshield talisman gives that a flat boost (iirc).
If the latter... have you never had an enemy break your stance while shielding because they dealt more hits than your stamina could withstand?
