Hill ciphers were desgined to omit letter frequency so that is why we ignore spaces.
Shift ciphers do not ignore spaces but this makes them less safe also
How to find inverse if we get the determinant of the key matrix an even number. I think we cant do the same process if we get determinant an even number where we cannot find inverse using this method. Can you do the same problem using key matrix[1 7;9 3].
There are some rules to find inverse , there is no odd even rule.You cannot solve Hill Cipher Decryption if you get determinant value which does not satisfies certain rules.

For Hill Cipher value of derterminant should be +ve, otherwise we will not get plaintext while doing decryption

9mod26 ans is 9.
There is one trick to solve this, whenever you get left side number smaller than right side, answer is always left side number. I had explain this trick in my CAESAR cipher video , see that video.

sir calculating the inverse of 9 mod 26 is 3 by your first method of 9*3 so answer is 3 but by calculator method different why
Is calculating inverse of any number by calculator is always correct or there is any rule in 2*2 matrix and 3*3 matrix
My method which I shown is used when left side number(before mod) is greater than right side(after mod).
Remember my trick if left side number is smaller than directly write answer which is on the left side.
sir i want to say calculating inverse of 1/43 mod 26 by your frst method is 17
but by using calculator method inverse of 1/43 mod 26 is 16.999

You cannot use calculator method for finding inverse , you have use my method which i had shown in one of my video named "shortcut to find inverse "

if you are getting determinant value -ve , it means that the key matrix which you have selected in incorrect, in exam you will never get a key matrix whose determinant value is -ve.
sir keyword can be HILL right its a keyword in alphabets we get for the exam and then we have to convert it into numerals...so it can come negative

i watched caesar cipher video but in that video you told about simple mod my question is this from which number we multiply 24 and then take its mod with 26 and in answer mod=1 in your's this hill cipher video you multiply 9with3 and take mode with 26 which is equal to 1 and mod of 9 you take 3...but if wo do same method with value 24 instead of 9 then how this condition true 24mod26=1
In my Hill cipher video , I had found the inverse of 9 in mod 26 which is 3, You have to remember one thing that inverse of given number is not always possible, here according to your question you need to find inverse of 24 in mod 26 , here inverse of 24 does not exist, I hope I cleared your doubt . if plain text is "meet me at the usual place at ten rather than eight o'clock" and key is 2*2 matrix then how to group the alphabets are not multiple of 2.

9 * 1 = 9 --> 9 % 26 = 9 :( which is not equal to one
9 * 2 = 18 --> 18 % 26 = 18 :( which is also not equal to one
9 * 3 = 27 --> 27 % 26 = 1 :) finally we got one, so 3 will be consider in place of 1 / 9, which is also called a inverse modulo of 9 with respect to 26)
