So basically... if you're in somebodies yard looking suss and you have a lock pick on you, you can't use the excuse you're door knocking for the jehovah's witnesses. Locks are actually ridiculously insecure. The reason they work is because we've all agreed not to pick them as a society.

Well most expensive locks have dummy pins (when the pin is up it doesn't open) which requires years of practice to open/pick.
Depends on the lock. Master locks can be opened by looking at them funny, while some other locks, like a Squire, will leave the most experienced lock pickers busy for hours.
And that's really what locks are for, to delay the trespasser/thief as long as possible so he or she either gives up for lower hanging fruit or takes so much time someone can catch him/her in the act.
@@knifeyonline instead there are ways to crack those too.....locks in general are not hard to open if you know what to do

As a certified locksmith who’s used one of these snap guns before, I can confirm that locks, that are not the clear practice padlock that it comes with, can be a little bit more difficult sometimes. I definitely upgraded to electric pick guns pretty soon after

How the locks work is the pins have to be set at the right height and the gun flick it up and as your twisting it it will open but only if the pins are in the right place sorry if I suck at explaining I'm only 16 and pretty dump but I let my hands do the work I ant a pro at lock picking but I understand how it's done and I can pick up to a level 9 lock out of 20 whit time tho but you can do it easier

bump key guns aren't much good if the lock has any spools or serrated pins though. SPP is more fun and more skillful.
lots of prefessional smiths use them more the spp when it comes to opening up home doors which is the majority of the cases....dont caompare what this tool is ment for with sport picking
It works for a lot of locks but not all locks works like lock bumping. Apparently can damage locks.

I can anwser your quiestion and i have not seen the video yet, No it can't pick any lock, to name a few, it can't pick, tubular locks, disc detainer's, lever locks, z-con locks, and warded locks, this is just some of Them There Will also be some pin tumbler locks it can't pick and some wafer locks and problebly most cross locks too.

take the time to learn how to single pin pick a lock first before buying that. Its worth it. I sit there watching netflix while picking locks i buy from bunnings then when its too easy i go swap it for another one. Its very addictive and not as easy as one of those clear locks. Go try an ABUS for beginners, It tells you how easy or hard it is on the packaging. A;so see the youtuber bosnian bill for tutorials etc. That where i started anyway, now nobody can lock me out of anywhere!
Yeah, those cheap Chinese practice locks are crap. Good to show people the basics of how a lock works, but they are not a challenge in terms of picking.
Excellent tool for anyone who wants to get into the business of thievery.
I've picked a good 30 to 40 locks thus far in my neighbourhood without too much hassle. It's advisable to bring a stun baton or stun gun/tazer and some pepper spray with you, as well as concealing your face as some people might remain at home or have animals guarding their belongings.
Overall, I give this gadget a 5/7. Happy looting!

It takes quite a bit of time to learn how to use one of these things efficiently. Too much TENSION & holding the snap gun incorrectly are the two biggest mistakes beginners tend to make.

Locks are not easy to pick for obviously reasons. It wont work on 90% of lock. This pad lock falls within the 10% that are easy to pick.

I stopped watching when he peed himself when it picked a demo padlock, which is made easy to pick to help sell tools.
you know they are clear for demonstrative reasons to show you how a lock works...they are not training locks plus he was jiggling the gun a bunch making it useless and the pick slid out...seems like hes just a jackass for the lols...those things can open locks in the pull of 2 to 3 trigger pulls if you know what you are doing...litteraly 2 seconds
