Lack of service is quite evident bro. I understand that part. Hence, I said the main problem is the coach & his tactics. That man has no clue whatsoever. His teams keep posession just for the sake of it. However, I believe there was a plan to maximize CR7's impact, which clearly didn't work against better oppositions in the main event. It's that simple. The same Portugal & CR7 were scoring for fun in the qualifying rounds. I don't have to explain why that happened. Portugal are the team who has attempted the most number of crosses in this Euros. So that was the plan. But the quality of crosses were so poor but they still kept doing the same thing, just to reach Cristiano's head. But if you are attempting so many crosses, you need more bodies in the box but it wasn't the case with Portugal. Also, even occasionally when there were multiple bodies, none of them are good headers of the ball. That makes me wonder why Martinez didn't use Jota at all. That man is brilliant aerially. Lack of service is quite evident bro. I understand that part. Hence, I said the main problem is the coach & his tactics. That man has no clue whatsoever. His teams keep posession just for the sake of it.
However, I believe there was a plan to maximize CR7's impact, which clearly didn't work against better oppositions in the main event. It's that simple. The same Portugal & CR7 were scoring for fun in the qualifying rounds. I don't have to explain why that happened.
Portugal are the team who has attempted the most number of crosses in this Euros. So that was the plan. But the quality of crosses were so poor but they still kept doing the same thing, just to reach Cristiano's head. But if you are attempting so many crosses, you need more bodies in the box but it wasn't the case with Portugal.
Also, even occasionally when there were multiple bodies, none of them are good headers of the ball. That makes me wonder why Martinez didn't use Jota at all. That man is brilliant aerially.
