  • For the Packer’s, love and connection brought them together-and it was honesty and authenticity that helped their love and connection flourish. In this fascinating story of love and transformation, Kay and Kris share their early dating experiences-and marriage as a lesbian couple. It was later in that marriage that Kris transitioned as a transgender male.
As the couple loved, they learned-and as they learned, they lived.
This is the third and final episode in the Packer series. Kay shared her individual story in episode 157. Kris shared his story in episode 158. These episodes and others are available in video form on the LatterGayStories Facebook and CZcams pages. All of our podcast episodes are ready to download now everywhere you catch your favorite podcasts.

    I loved all of this.
Speaking of bedtime stories 😆 not too long ago, I realized that telling bedtime stories puts my toddler to sleep like nothing else. Shortly thereafter, I started telling some very deep-secret stories about the one time I've ever been in love and felt that it was reciprocated. It's therapeutic for me to live in those moments of authentic connection for a time and know that, for now, my stories are safe with a sleep drunk audience-of-one.

This was such a beautiful and touching series, loved loved loved this episode, great conclusion to a great series
Edit; I am absolutely sobbing at the nurse calling to let kris know he could be on his child’s birth certificate. I was thinking when they said it wasn’t possible at first how awful that must have been, I’m so happy he’s able to rightfully be named as their parent

What an amazing journey for this lovely couple! Kris and Kay, you both have such gentle spirits, and you listened to your inner selves. Your journey shows so many doors that were gradually opened, leading you along the way, to find your real true love and happiness, and be able to build your family ever after. I believe our God of the universe, through Jesus, who preached love one another, as he loves us, led you along that winding path, sometimes filled with obstacles, but also many miracles, to get you where you are today. I deeply appreciated listening to your individual stories, and my own tears welled right along with yours. No one can appreciate your journey as much as you, and I want to thank you for having huge hearts of openness and transparency. You are witnesses to your respective families and the world at large about God's love, how it does conquer all, including the bias narratives that still exist, but are waning, thanks be to God. Blessings to you and your children! Hugs of Love from Arizona!

A wonderful and Incredible story! Thanks for this discussion. This story showcases two loving and caring people that should be held up as role models for all of us: caring, loving, sincere, and in many ways traditional.

Just catching this 3 part now. Thank You for sharing your Story, really amazing and so Happy for both of you, just sorry you had to go through so much. Though I’m very Happy that our Community is progressing. For many me included when I was much younger, it was going away to College and then moving away from family and friends and starting a “new life” where you could be yourself (most of the time). Not at Work back then. Been out for along time now, Married to my wife when it was legal, been together for 30 Wonderful years now.
Your Story will help so many. Thanks again for sharing.

In the mid to late 60's i worked in an Operating Room in a Catholic hospital in Eastern Canada and we did the physical change operations. From woman to man and vise versa.

I had extreme anxiety until I could marry my wife in 2011 (civil union) in Illinois, we were both 44 and approaching older years. In 2015 we converted that to a regular marriage after Obama made it legal nationwide.
As a nurse I knew too many stories where an estranged family had more rights when a gay partner was in the ER, ICU or having last rites. They’d make decisions that were against what the couple wanted. This is shown in the movie If These Walls Could Talk (I think episode 3).
When we got married in Springfield Illinois it was announced in the newspaper, unbeknownst to us.
Over 200 gay nurses got fired from their jobs at St Mary’s hospital. And it was legal to fire them. We had to move from Illinois to Texas to find work. Austin and Denton Texas accept gays.

Kris and Kay I am so happy for you both thank you for sharing your story. I have so many questions for you Kris. I wish I could sit and talk to you. I am a very masculine lesbian that don't feel like a female and feel more masculine. I'm 55 now. I have had dreams of my self as a man and so confused with my body. I really need some help here.

56:00 I’m glad you were honest from the start. I wanted to marry a woman. I told my (butch) future wife that I wanted nothing to do with testosterone or penises. I needed to know she wasn’t transgender and wanted to later transition. I’m glad that your wife is able to love you as a woman and as a man.
My wife gets called “sir” all the time, but she says she fully feels like a woman. She’s muscular with a wide neck and broad shoulders, but has zero feelings of being male.

I think it's wrong to say that finding another person is what you live for. That puts a terrible manipulation on the obiect of your desire, it removes their freedom. You yourself find what you live for, then share that light & love with another being of light. Does that make sense? Doesn't matter your story or situation. Just sayin'
