  • Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks to Yasmine Mohammed (Author and Activist) about how she became an ex Muslim and the untold reality of Islam in the West. Yasmine grew up in a fundamentalist Muslim home in Canada. Despite living in a western country her childhood more closely resembled living under Sharia law in Saudi Arabia. She was forced to wear a hijab starting at age 9 and was later put into an arranged marriage. She left her husband and tried to regain control over her life. Yasmine had her awakening when she saw Sam Harris’s famous appearance with Ben Affleck on Real Time With Bill Maher. It was then that she knew she had a duty to tell the world about her experiences growing up Muslim in Canada. She also discusses her book “UNVEILED: How Western Liberals Empower Radical Islam”. Yasmine shares stories about her young students of the Zoomer generation and how she sees them as potentially being the end of “woke culture”. She also reveals why she thinks people in the West are being sold a lie by fetishizing the hijab through burkinis in Sports Illustrated, and Nike swoosh hijabs. The lie being that these things empower women, when in fact they oppress them. Yasmine also shares her surprise at how afraid a lot of westerners are to speak up, despite having their speech protected.

Understanding spirituality is difficult in today’s fast paced world. Does the world of theology still offer something to a more secular modern world? Are there lessons to learn from a more spiritual path that can help us make sense of issues like morality? Or is spirituality best left to the past according to some modern day atheists and skeptics? What does it even mean to be spiritual in an enlightened world? Hear from a wide variety of guests on the benefits, struggles, and problems with religion with this playlist:

@@extratrillestrial3949 paedophilia is not promoted in scripture. Just because a bunch of sick individuals commit these acts against children, does not mean it's acceptable nor taught in our faith. Last time I checked blowing up clinics and killing doctors is not only illegal, but against our faith as well. Those people were a stain on the pro-life movement, clearly. There's a big difference in the Christian faith compared to Islam, but both faiths have extremists views and should always be criticized.

There was a law passed in India that bans the use of loud speakers in places of worship so as to not disturb the neighborhood residents. Hindu temples and other places of worship complied but Mosques still blare their 'call to prayer' from loudspeakers. When locals complain to the police and ask them to enforce the law they say they can't because the result would be riots by Islamist mobs. Islamists do not respect the law of the land.

He was married to all of them in the eye's of Allah and they did collect a shit ton of benefits because the wives had "apartments" in the same house. They all functioned as a family and lived normally. I don't know what I was expecting haha. It was odd to me but man his 3rd wife was hot.

When they spoke about the "zoomers" who are afraid to speak out on college campuses, it reminded me of my most recent time in college. Just over a year ago, I was in a class and I was one of only 2 white people. During the class I spoke out against a very well spoken black guy who proclaimed that he KNEW "what this white cop was thinking" of him. After his 3rd time of bringing up this same event I couldn't handle listening to someone saying that he knew what someone who he didn't know was thinking about him based on the fact of where he was and the races of the individuals involved. So I spoke up and I told him that my uncle was someone who lived in a very small town in the South and that the minority of the people that he knew in the city where he lived were black and that unlike Atlanta, where we live and went to school, they actually all spoke to one another and got along as if they were equal people. After this interaction that we had in the class he seemed quite surprised that the people who were now engaging in conversation we're not on his side but we're actually making statements that affirmed what I was saying.

YES! Yes, a thousand times yes! This articulated in legible words something that has frustrated me to no end for so many years.
I have a friend from Lebanon, and though her family is not overly religious - she isn’t forced to wear religious clothing, such as the hijab - her father is unbearably restrictive. He doesn’t want her to be friends with non-Muslim people, he doesn’t let her go out on her own with a friend he hasn’t met and assessed yet, he doesn’t let her move out or have a separate bank account or date or be an independent person who has an opinion that is different from his. He keeps her in a cage like an animal and dictates EVERYTHING in her life, even more than he used to now that she has become more “whitewashed” and seen that her life in that family is bad and she deserves basic respect from her parents, at least as a human being with autonomy.
He doesn’t like any of her friends, me included, because we fill her head with ideas about independence and self-actualization and confidence and the knowledge that she is worth more than he ever gave her credit for.
Because the most terrible thing to him would be for her to open her eyes and realize that she’s better off without him and leave.

      All right, I'll try again.
I notice that here in the USA (these US are the subject of my statement) there is a Jew and an Arab (these are ethnic groups that have had a lot of racism directed at them in the past, even from these US) having their viewpoints listened to and discussed in a very publicly visible platform. This discussion (in the video) and many like them are enjoying a moderate degree of success predicated on their underlying premise, namely, a reasonable and intellectually honest discussion about specific and general issues, conducted in complete freedom. Indeed, the audience largely responds to the content and doesn't really pay any mind to the ethnicity of the situation, with the obvious mischief-makers being easily identifiable. This situation leads me to believe that the rampant racism with which the average US conservative or libertarian conducts himself actually employs a lot *less* racism than has been intimated by various media pundits and social activists. (I placed emphasis on "less" in there, as a commentor apparently believe the word "less" to mean "complete absence of" for some reason.
TL;DR Words have actual meanings guys, try to understand the complete thought before responding.
