The Saba you used was the bigger bandai version hence why it couldn't fit well in the hand. As for the missing gold paint on the hasbro saba, it's consistent with all of them. I think the reason is because we would see 1 side more than the other when posing. I definitely prefer the hasbro version, better articulation, better paint, better accessories and much more durable. The plastic for the bandai one is too flexible imo. Really hope you review the rest of the figures even though you don't know the characters because they are awesome figures

It stands to reason that the headsculpts aren't great, as they didn't do a digital face scan back then. For recreating his face from reference images, I'd say they did a great job.

Nah bandai has cleaner QC than Hasbro. Accessories and articulation maybe. But I see legacy Collection as the comic rangers

i have the Blue Ranger and i could just make them switch the grabbing hand because the power lance's handle was small so it will fit and im pretty sure Blue Rangers hand could hold saba.

way swivel is unnecessary with new articulation the upper torso pivot works as both and doesn't break up the sculpt, way swivels don't really look good anyway go ahead take a figure twist his waist and you'll see versus twisting the upper torso pivot it's the same articulation the used on beast and it works better, I personally prefer the upper torso pivot ab crunch combination they are doing and hope they can continue doing that for new figures going Forward

I grew up loving and still have my vintage zords and figures and now collect these newer Power Ranger figures. I recently got the Hasbro Zeo Megazord which is nice along with the Hasbro Dinozords. White Ranger was always my favorite version of Tommy.
I thought the sh figuarts version was the best but I can't help but dislike the pearl color on the sh version, so this one is a step up and definitely one that I'm so happy I finally tracked down and got. This is permanently my number one favorite white ranger figure ever. Made sure I got it before I officially retired from collecting figures.
I find it funny I found these at Target but couldn't buy them because of a embargo code. Yet theyre all over CZcams. Feels like people are doing things to get these that I refuse to do
Yes, lots of people are doing shady things to get them like scanning different items at self checkout instead. Some amazon orders did get shipped out though. Local comic shops have gotten these as well. Some online sites have also started to ship out as well. That’s how I got mine.

7 inches are best .. 6 look weak compared to my other figures...
My only gripe is that they painted Saba's face silver instead of white, and also that they didn't paint his eyes red. But other than that, the figure looks great! Comparing the Lightning Collection figures to the Legacy Collection figures is a bit of a toss up because they both figures look really good. But I would have to go with the Hasbro line because the figures are up to scale with the Marvel Legends figures.

i seen the hasbro ones on shelf and dint caught my eye at all and the only reason i buy hasbro figures is because they have the marvel license other wise than that i wouldnt buy hasbro figuress at all
Superman Power Rangers, i like the Hasbro rangers alot, they look fantastic, they look show accurate like how Star Wars Black series look movie accurate but Bandais version, atleast the Legacy line up of there figures dont look nearly muscle bound as those armored figures from 2013 nor do they look super muscular like the old figures that they used to make.
Sure the figures look muscular but it looks more comic book style and doesnt stand out like crazy, they actually go well with the other 6 inch Marvel Legends figures. The Hasbro Lightning Collection will go well with the Star Wars collection.
Ok now I just need someone to compare the new hasbro one to the Figuarts.

@@michaelleary9233 Zeo was awesome loved the zords the new command center too just was a way better season. Only thing good about s3 was the new Ninja Megazord other than that was a waste in my opinion.
I refuse to buy any of the original 7 rangers from the Lighting line because I just completed the Legacy set and am just happy to have a complete set that I got at retail! Only ones I want from Lightning are Lord Zedd and Rita (if/when they get around to her) and maybe Goldar if the line lasts long enough. Still, thanks for the vid! Very informative!

I bought the white ranger yesterday at target but I had to exchange him since the bicep swivel was loose and it sucks because I had did a review on him and uploaded and has that ever happened to you?

It probably would've been easier had they gone with a set of stills that wasn't quite as old but still captured the likeness of Jason David Frank as Tommy. (Like Zeo or Turbo)
Speaking of which, I'm surprised that you don't have any iteration of the S.H.Figuarts White Ranger (the original Bandai Japan/Tamashii Nations Kibaranger, the Bandai America/Tamashii Nations MMPR White Ranger, and the recently released 25th Anniversary MMPR White Ranger w/Tommy alternate head...) to compare.

*for me to the hasbro failed to decrease the scale, although I came with accessories and look more with series I still stay with those of the legacy line of the bandai, are cooler to my view.*
*this scale imcomodou me a lot, those of the bandai are only well muscled and lacked accessories but they are incredible, I wanted to see psycho pink and yellow but line ran out*
just my opinion; SHF still looks better even if it is 5 years older (i don't even care for PR). for a $20 toy, this isn't bad and it's certainly better than the Bandai America's line, but in no way it is comparable to a higher end collectible piece like SHF (it is were Bandai SHF will always keep their value where the Hasbro and other $20 figures will keep loosing their value when the joints start to get loose). also smaller scale = less detail is not true, SHF is a true 1/12 scale and it has way more detail on even the smallest parts. the Bandai America PR is just a cheap toy, but Bandai always have cleaner injected molded plastic parts. you even put the "better" sculpted and painted sword with the figure you think is better because you probably subconsciously think the better looking sword should go with the figure you think it looks better.

I can’t wait for the female rangers especially yellow rangers and villains (looking at Rita [movie & series]). I actually think I prefer this version, Lighting Collection, over Legacy and SHFiguarts. I hope Hasbro will release Trini and Gia soonest! 💛💛💛

That’s what I’m really looking forward! Though, I like the Legacy Collection and SHFiguarts... I feel like Legacy/Bandai US was always focusing on MPPR, while SHFiguarts/Bandai JP I think stopped producing Sentai figures. Which made me really sad. But anywho, hopefully, Hasbro will really give justice to other teams instead of focusing on MMPR.
Well me being a Super Sentai Fan I know I was getting DekaMaster aka Shadow as I dig Dekaranger/SPD equally just prefer the sentai head.
On this one I do have my Figuart but for KibaRanger of Dairanger what was used for mmpr season 2 (wish used those suits badly) but it does look good and liking the buck used.
I am happy they did so the show accurate look compared to, quoting AkibaRed, "Powerful Ranger" look with the roided up muscles and the females looking like "Red Light" district workers.
I really hope Gamestop doesn't cancel my order for Griffonzor/Goldar as I had paid in full on him.
Still have to find a Zedd and get the DC Red .Watching Kyuranger and fact Earth was already conquered by the villians in that story sparked an idea on what happened and making it Darker than in the show. Even if one city was overrun by zombies. Just need some liked and a thrown to do some work

Metallic versions of the rangers (but not green) since the battlizers for mighty morphing is just a metallic shiny suit. Which is honestly dumb to me. I feel like the could've used the movie versions for the battlizer suits.
Oh they might also make the movie versions of mighty morphing rangers (the 199??? One) and the 2017 movie one too.
And ofc the main villain team which is rita. The monster maker. The flying monkey dude (not goldar the other one) and the little goblin blue dude. And scorpina And maybe puttys?? (I HOPE) and maybe a few more other villains from mighty morphing??? Like the purple dude from the movie I forgot his name.
To me I just hope hasbro has the toy rights long enough to make all of the teams!

MCUcollector24 also I just hope hasbro gives each ranger they're own weapons. Cause bandai got A LOT of hate for not giving the rangers their weapons but then they released the metallic versions with their weapons. I'm kind of worried about that cause the red rangers from dino charge and beast morphers don't have their own weapons.

Nope
Hasbro is smart. 9 out of 10 power ranger figures are all the same mold with minor sculpture differences, which keeps cost down, which means much more accessories and other goodies. Something idk if bandai knew or just refused to use.
Having handled Bandai figures Vs Hasbro figures in general, I think Bandai either just don't have the budget or refuse to spend the extra. Worse plastic, worse quality...ech.
Regarding paint, apparently they don't use paint masks the way Hasbro does, so a pattern on a figure will count as a bunch of paint apps, versus just 1 paint app when a mask is used to apply the pattern.
Matt TooFast4U I think it's more along the lines of they simply don't care. There shouldn't be any excuse for their shitty products, when we all know the quality of their S.H Figuarts line. I still remember the quality of their Power Rangers line before the Disney Purchase back when Saban originally owend the I.P. Bandai of America was up there in quality with their Japanese counterpart Bandai of Japan.
The Hasbro figure looks like the better one to me. What always rubbed me the wrong way with the Bandai figures is that they never looked like what we got on screen. They looked like comic book superheroes (particularly the women) and not like people in spandex suits. Hasbro's approach is exactly what I want to seem their White Ranger looks exactly like he did on the show. Theres a level of detail and realism that Bandai's just doesn't have. Like you, I'm more interested in the older characters than I am the new ones. I'm not even sure I want the White Ranger as I much prefer Tommy as the Green Ranger. That Zedd is badass.

Well to be fair, the figuarts does have better paint, detail, and accessories. Such as for the white ranger it comes with both the short blade and long blade for Saba. The only thing that sucks about the figuarts compared to this is the engineering, since we are comparing a figure from 2013 to now, even the reissue uses the same body. I don't even own any of the figuarts ones, but I see and hope that Hasbro gets better with their paint apps.
SHF should have all those things since it is a premium figure at a premium price point. From purely an aesthetic standpoint, I prefer Hasbro. Articulation standpoint I have no doubt SHF wins.
Also the fact that it's an imported figure makes it more expensive.
MCUcollector24 Let’s also not forget that, at the time, they kind of were the only premium figure line in town for the series. Even the Legacy collection felt more like a basic figure in comparison to figuarts. Hasbro is at least raising standards and quality, while maintaining a normal price point. Good competition.
