2:15 the Sword of Darkness...
...and in relation, the Ranger Slayer's bow is called the Bow of Darkness since it basically was two Swords of Darkness wrapped together.
They did a great job improving this green ranger. The helmet not having the white paint on the area around the teeth sucks though.
He should have white with silver for the teeth on the helmet.
At least it's sculpted there.

Only useful things on this figure are the belt and shinier gold shield, and that's all I'm going to use from it lol. I'll just get the Silver stripes off the 3 fighting spirit versions I have spare and swap the 3 belts and 1 shield over. I'm going to have 3 versions of regular mmpr green. Normal, no shield and no shield or arm bands and I need the diamonds on his chest and correct helmet deco for all of them so they're accurate. Fml lol
And that it doesn't have that ugly ass silver crap on his helmet. Still have no idea who the moron was that thought that up.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork The Silver Stripes was actually the original design that was supposed to be on the helmet from Zyuranger. To match up with the silver of Dragon Ceasar/Zord dorsal fin and snout. But the paint was always coming off due to stunts so they kept it green in the final footage. Disney used the idea for Fighting Spirit as this version of the Green Ranger wasn't ment to be canon and to differentiate the character, IE the silver Morpher instead of the gold.
I don't care what it was intended to be, it wasn't there and has no business being there on the PR version. To me, the only version that matters is the one that was in Zyuranger.
I regret not buying this one when I saw it stocked. 😿😿
The best use of the civilian heads that I could think of was displaying their disembodied heads at the feet of Lord Drakkon, Ranger Slayer and Lord Drakkon Evo III. I have all of my extra accessories their as well from all of the repeats I've had to buy for QC issues lol.
I got civilian customs made and. Ought doubles and made their civilian versions
@@blackout8777 I don't have any civilian Customs but I do have a few variants of MMPR rangers that haven't been released. My MMPR Green is accurate made kitbashing FS Green and wave 7 green then removing the silver stripes from the helmet. I also made no Shield mmpr Green, depowered mmpr green (no shield or armbands) and shield only MMPR Red
Green is always my favorite. I also like the Super Sentai version of the story a little more, even when I grew up with Tommy, I kinda like Burai a lot more.

Always been green, he’s the only ranger to single handedly take down and entire team and their zords. There would be no ninja megazord without him
I am happy this figure is getting released as a stand alone. Hasbro's paint apps in this line are really starting to suffer. They are not painting a lot of stuff.
It didn't bother me at first but the helmets look a little boxy. The helmets in the show were a bit heart shaped from the front.
I have a feeling TJ will be the pick for Red Turbo ranger.
Honestly wondering how they'll handle the Turbo Rangers if they release them. TJ,Cassie and Carlos will probably be released as the In Space Rangers like Ashley.
Then again we have 6 Tommys...

I wish that the figure had a white diamond underneath the shield. I also wish it was removable.

After this just collecting Dino Fury Lighting Collection, Hope they do all of them to
God I brought it for the head but I'm still dissatisfied with the lack of white Diamonds because unless someone sells their Fighting Spirit Green or it gets restocked I can't actually do a screen accurate shieldless display with my Dragon shield Red and Black
Will be getting.i started to wonder if this wasn't that one US done suit. Had like an inflatable shield and we'll think was missing the diamonds on that one.
I would be excited if I didnt already fix up my Fighting Spirit Green Ranger to look like the mmpr one. and not to blow my own horn, but its damn near perfect.
Once I get this one, ill just swap the shield and belt(dont have to, but I will).
Tommt head looks good tho. Glad about having a S1 Tommy.
Other than that, not having the diamonds bother me about this fig because there was no reason for Hasbro to have left it off...
My fav figure in the LC so far(out of the box without any custom mods or fixes) is the Zeo Gold. It looks great!
With some mods and fixing, Dino Thunder White is my fav outta LC.
Still can’t find any of this wave at Target or Walmart.
Green helmet should be like Red, white mouth around the visor and silver teeth.
Just get some Testor's Model Masters acrylic white paint and a thin paintbrush. It's really not as hard as you might think. Plus, that paint comes off with water while it's still wet, so there's room for error.
I do have to say, having seen this particular figure in person at my local Walgreens, it is damn impressive and I'm really weighing out whether or not to get him. I do have two very minor gripes as pertains to his paint apps, though. First, I wish the soles of his boots were black (having OCD, it bothers me a little lol), and secondly, I wish they'd pronounced the [gold] lips at the tops of his boots instead of just brushing a strip of gold around them. I understand these are essentially budget collectibles, but still. Beyond that, this is an awesome figure.

I really love this figure so much, I was really stoked that Hasbro is doing an OG Green ranger and when I found him at my local Target, I just had to get him and it was last one and I'm really glad I have him in my collection.

I still hope they do Scorpina, Ninjor, the Ninja Rangers from season 3, and Finster. I wouldn't mind some movie figures either. I'd love Ivan Ooze.
The only reason why I like the Fighting Spirit Green Ranger is that it has the white diamonds on the suit. The could have literally take the just put the white diamonds but no, Hasbro has to screw us over like that. Don’t get me wrong this is a great figure but I hate that they didn’t put the white diamonds because I like the ranger without the shield sometimes. I know that some people would swap the bodies and belts with both green rangers but i don’t really do stuff like that and i don’t want to mess up my figures so it bothers me that they did that.

my toys are us for all my power rangers toys back in the day was always the one on winton ave in hayward california and i remember the very last time i went to toys are us for power rangers was for the Legacy Thunder megazord in 2016

Lucky for first adopters of the line.. Here in the Philippines, the official mass retail release just started today. Wave 6 & 7. Although some of us managed to order outside the country to complete the 6 MMPR rangers.
I hope Hasbro from Hong Kong will stock us here of the earlier waves. Wave 1 to 5 for some of us complete the MMPR rangers.
I don't know if the previous holder of the Power Ranger (non-Hasbro) merch here is to blame for holding up for a year. Only hobby shops carried the earlier MMPR members. Pink, White, Green with Putty 2-pack.

It kills me to not have this one yet. I was at a Walmart that is farthest from my house and saw the whole wave except for this Green Ranger. Ugh. Of my 3 Walmarts it is the only one that gets lightning collection and I must have missed my opportunity by a day or two.

Great review. I didn't know you grew up in the bay area. I did as well, and I think we're about the same age (born '87). I'm still into Power Rangers/Zyuranger after all these years. I preordered this guy, and I can't wait until he arrives. Your review got me even more excited.
Born in 85. I only lived in San Jose a few years and then moved in with my dad in Manteca.
Green is the OG when it comes to Tommy's character. But I will always choose White Ranger over Green. Only because in my childhood, I looked up to the White Ranger because he represented pure good.
Im 3D printing a massive Green and white ranger juat now and his normal head and pony tail on Tommy hes soo cool! Just trying to nail this like colour shif met Green the original Suit was! And the gloves were white with just a basic dark green on the spikes! Ive got him in a darker base green for shadows ATM still cool as heck but trying to find a good metallic well its not its just that slivery green shine its hard to describe you'll know i mean?! Have you every painted one? Any ideas in a good green?

I think I might actually like the white ranger better. When the white ranger powers were introduced it felt so epic and they don't have the evil stigma that the green ranger powers have. It was Tommy being purged of the evil past and feels like an upgrade to the green ranger powers. I also liked the way the Thunderzords were introduced over all, being upgrades of the Dinozords. The first and best explanation for a zord change they did. It just fit so perfectly.
If you paint, it's not a hard thing to put the front diamonds on the figure. Just make a template from another male MMPR figure, transfer it to the green ranger after (carefully) removing the Dragon Shield, paint, remove template, and seal the paint.
Adding paint isn't difficult, adding white paint that looks good may be. White paint is just so finicky.
It might be better to use white stickers(Vinyl), cut out the shape and seal that.
good figure only missing the black thunder ranger the red turbo ranger I doubt that they will take it out since as everyone hates the turbo season nobody would want that figure
Honestly, I prefer the Fighting Spirit figure aesthetically, 😎 the extra paint apps and the White teeth just make it pop over the standard basic design. That being said, the Civilian head for W7 green is on point. It may be worth getting it just for that. 👍

Hasbro and Power Rangers love Tommy Oliver. I’m sure TJ won’t come until In Space Blue, which I’m sure they will release before Turbo anyway

They wouldn’t have the rights to that since it was never adapted into Power Rangers

The biggest problem with this is when he is posed... it becomes evident that the diamonds aren't there and looks incomplete. I suspect Hasbro expects fans to buy both versions and kitbash.

@@MCUcollector24 The White Dino Thunder Ranger's shield pops off. I was putting Trent's shield on Andros and Rocky. I already have too many MMPR Green Rangers from previous releases. I would like to get the Lightning collection Tommy but Ebay prices are too high. I would like a Tommy head sculpt though. I do have a Dragon shield from the armored 7 inch MMPR Red ranger from the Mega Force line. Maybe that will fit on the Lightning Collection rangers.

I work security in a Walmart and have the toy department staff saving a wave seven case for me. But I really am waiting for the Target exclusive Black Series packaging especially for the Green Ranger in particular. I'm also hyped to know you're from Nor Cal as I am also. I live in Pittsburg, but get lucky in the Walnut Creek - Concord areas for assorted collectables and chases, also Tracy. Thank You for being sort of a guideline for figure collectors.
