Honestly, I love that they go outside of JP Order. Adds some level of anticipation to an otherwise solved game.
Couldn't agree more. It's lame knowing everything down the line and it pushes the mindset that if you're not using the "best" then don't bother.
Heya traveler just wanna say thanks for the top notch vids...just started and really diggin the game
based on my best guess, they are cherry picking units to fit into giving one of each class before repeats, probably why kouren got picked so early. Theres also a pattern that suggests 2 physical based then 2 magic based, meaning probably a hunter next week. Maybe H'aanit, maybe Kersjes. Also thanks for videos like always, dont worry sanity doesnt matter
Do you think that fav's are being considered too? It seems like that is a trend too.
@@Protoman20xx99 i mean maybe, but like for EN who honestly really knew who tf Kouren was. So I feel its more likely they are cherry picking units that ended up underperforming from JP and releasing them sooner
The biggest flaw with him is getting released right after a Fiore step up banner with an abnormal bonus reward due to a mistake which allowed many to obtain an A1 Fiore.
What was the abnormal bonus reward?
@@T3N If I'm not mistaken, they didn't guarantee either Fiore or Sofia from the step up, instead they simply guaranteed any 5 star avaliable at the time. To make amends they gave anyone who finished the step up a box with a free 5* Fiore/Sofia based on a 50/50. I got a free 5* Sofia this way
@@Major2x Are the step up banners still up? If yes can i still get these rewards? I wanted to save up rubies so i didn't go for them.
@@ok-ue4ub You had to complete step 5 of the Fiore/Sofia step up before 8/24 maintenance to be given the free 5* Fiore/Sofia seal compensation.

Man I really want him, sadly I'm still saving for BD collab because of mrgrgr, hopefully i'll pull other 5*s then since I haven't really pulled much if at all since a few days after launch when I was still trying to get tressa, until then, i'm thankful for getting some seals (Albeit 3 of the 5 seals I got are for merchant and I only have 1 3.5* merchant, 1 for assassin so that went to wingate, then dancer I gave it to fabio so now I have all the 4* wind units to attempt the other BT battle hooray)
I got him as a 4.5 star in my first 10 pull, so I'm very happy even though I would've preferred Cyrus or H'aanit. Half a year ago I played the JP version for a bit and always wanted to pull Hasumi, so I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't yet feature her along with Kouren.
I think the odd release order kinda works for his favour a bit?
As you said, he's "4th best warrior" in JP in mono sword comps, but here he's 2nd sword released, moreso it can be left like that for a long time for what we know.
also not everyone got Fiore (I'm totally not sad I got Sofia dupe from the random box)
Eitherway, I do agree it's probably not worth chasing him, STILL I think the early release of him works on his favour as sword dps.

Hey, I'd like to ask. Is it worth it to exchange the class up material that needs 30k silver shard? My Theo is still *4 and I want to increase his rank. Or should I keep the silver shard to increase the lv cap of my 4*?
Will Hasumi be useful for Tikiren Cup? Hasumi hits Tikiren’s weaknesses but is she worth it far from that? I lack of decent light damage user but already have Lynette as a dancer, so…
My hopes were high this week as there seemed to have been a pattern of OG8, random, OG8, random... So after Therese my hopes were set high. Maybe it would be the 1/6 chance i was waiting for... But alas, yet another week without my spellcasting father.

Kouren is good not the best but it’s good specially when it’s fighting only one enemy like boss
Don't have Fiore so I did a 10 pull., didn't get him so i'll continue to save.
Can you talk about the bonfire of battles? what is the legendary ash used for?
Assuming the Legendary Ash is the item dropped by the area bosses, those are used for upgrading Nameless Town weapon series such as the Stamp Weapons.
I'll prob address those in the upcoming Weapon Guide.
Overall, the Tower of Recollection is just a way to fight certain Elite enemies more to get more of the materials they drop.
His sprite look about cool as hell tho, don't it?
If you stack lane of Kouren and Theo would Kouren then be immune to all status?

I'm waiting for Edea, by your point of view, how good she is in this game? And is there any character that can combo or increase her overall value in terms of combat?
As someone who doesn't have Edea and hasn't used her personally, I can really only give my outside perspective.
She's basically a Merchant-style Warrior. She has AoE Taunt that increases her defenses, similar to Gilderoy. In that same vein, she's also EXTREMELY slow compared to other Warriors.
Offense-wise, she has a 3-hit Sword single-target, a Sword nuke that's basically Gilderoy's Heal Spike, and a unique Light skill that defaults at 2-hits but increases by 1 hit for each BP used, up to 5-hit Light at max BP.
I'd say she's an alright unit. Offensively she's pretty average, with her one standout being that Light skill. Being tanky and slow makes her a bit less desireable once you get later and later and pure offense becomes a better strategy, basically the same as Gilderoy.
@@ShizukatzCotC Thanks a lot for the insight. I'm still new and don't know which units I should keep an eye on. Got Lynette as my first 5* but now I learned by watching your videos that there are 4.5 stars characters, what is the difference between a 4.5-stars and a 5-star character is the question that arises after finding that information out.
The game explains briefly about certain stuff, but as you said and re-confirmed in your videos, there is little to no information about certain tabs around the menu, let alone tell you about these questions.
With blazing banner releases, I wouldn't even be surprised if Wrath (Erhardt) gets released next LMFAOOO I only have like 700+ Rubies left😂
Well, I have an Awakening IV Fiore, so easy skip. Also, can I ask about Bonfires of Battle? It says in one of the side quests that 4 new Bonfires appeared in the Tower, but I don't see it. Is it yet to come, or a bug?
I believe only the first 3 areas are supposed to be added in this patch - Woodlands, Frostlands, and Flatlands.

Well for not having a better alternatives in terms of thief (yeah, always get unlucky with them), I use both him and Fiore instead of my 4.5 Viola. He does his work well, but honestly does not feel special either.

Do you use npc’s in fights at all, and if so, do you have any favorites?
I use them WAYYYY less than I probably should.
The few times I've used NPCs are for when I was lower level and hired NPCs to kill caits, and when I fight Lv100 NPCs. I've pretty much never used an NPC in a Story chapter, I think.

I was hoping to get your opinion on something. I was noticing from your JP document that the next Dancer and Warrior we were supposed to get were... underwhelming looking? Lionel just buffed his own defense with underwhelming 1-2xhit Sword attacks, and Harley was an entirely defensive-oriented buffer and debuffer. Instead we got the CONSIDERABLY more juiced-up Primrose and Kouren.
Are they... just gonna skip these less exciting/less popular characters? (Also if my judgment on Lionel or Harley is wrong, please correct me! Thanks!)
I think they are just rushing trying to catch up to JP version. I am a veteran Japanese version user and close game friend of Shizukatz and sometimes make contents but did you know it took 3 months after launch we got bestower of Wealth ch.1 and also we didn't get new characters once a week maybe once per two weeks or even three weeks so I think they are speeding up to catch Japanese version is my guess.
+to add on there might be less exciting or less popular there isn't a single character that is useless. They may not be useful when they are released at the moment but it paid off especially in Tourney since it requires certain characters to beat with ease.
@@harumachibito105 Thanks for your replies! Yeah, I did notice that they are going a LOT faster, although "faster" doesn't quite explain why they are bringing far-future characters in so quickly. But I'll tell you what, it was exciting! I've read Shizukatz's JP document many times over so I knew who Kouren was and was very excited and surprised to see him pop up!
Also, yes, I agree, I was VERY careful NOT to call characters like Lionel/Harley "useless". I agree that this is definitely a game where raising a wide variety of diverse characters is extremely helpful!

Lionel and Harley both probably look to be pretty weak characters, yea. But that being said, they do both have a unique niche that pops up eventually.
Lionel is one of the only Sword characters for a while that has access to Defense Down, to stack with Fior. Historically this has been used in Warrior-locked content such as the background vid I used for this video.
Harley's 2-hit Wind AoE can be really useful in certain fights, alongside other characters that have access to 2-hit Wind AoEs like Tressa and Heathcote.
All just a matter of perspective.
As for whether or not they're actively skipping them, that is something that I can't really guess at this point.
I'm planning to max Devin love his design and personality but I recently got Tressa(Best waifu), should I bench him or do you think it's viable if I put them together in a team? any suggestions?

After I shafted 3.5k on primrose, I went for a solo-yolo and got Kouren 5*! He may not be the best, but I'll take him, considering I spent just 30 gems :D
Ending up doing a pair of ten rolls as a lark and ended up with him at NP1, guess I don’t need to worry about missing out on Fiore lol
I was expecting Hannit because she goes best with Tikiren I guess the developers wanted to increase light users but.. warriors don't have high sp nor elemental attack so skipping is highly recommended (I skipped)
Thanks a bunch for the video man. As a DFFOO player I'm shocked that things are so far out of JP order in this game and it's making me antsy about spending rubies so it's good to have your videos to give me some perspective on when or if I should spend. So far I've just been saving since I rolled Viola. I have her, Lynette with an awakening stone ready, Sofia, Milard, Theo, and Fiore for 5 stars. I feel like I'm lacking a decent wind option but I heard that the upcoming cup will give us a strong wind user for free. I really wish they'd release my boi Cyrus so I have a reason to pop rubies.

Tbf, they did state in the post with the Roadmap that content will come as it's translated, basically a funny way of saying "We'll do whatever we want so yall can't predict what we'll do like the DFFOO players can." It's basically to mitigate as much foresight as possible in order to try and keep people pulling...except given Cyrus and the various Collabs will be a thing and those who know are most likely saving for them, might not be as effective as they hope.
