- The princess Hasumi has arrived, accompanied by her bodyguard, Kouren! She's a character that originally came out in Month 11 of JP, almost an entire year into the game. This makes her the farthest out release yet for the wild EN release schedule! Despite being a dancer, she has more parallels to a certain Cleric we already have in the game, so let's see what she has in store!

Love the overviews, I don't know if anyone else agrees but I would find it helpful to get a section with recommended weapons and accessories to use with the characters too.
It's kinda obvious at this stage of the game, equip best magic stat weapon and whatever accessories you need for the situation.
I do my best to mention any specific Accessories if there are any particularly notable ones.
However, as far as weapons go, as the other reply pointed out, it's easy to see the "best weapons" when you just go by the stats.
So what I got from this is she's basically a better Millard with fron row SP recovery? Gotcha going ham on her now XD

Another great review. I did the 5 steps for Scarecrow/Theo instead of chasing her. Still feel burned after chasing Primrose.

Did a 10 bomb for fun, got a 4.5 Hasumi. Honestly the .5 feature has to be my biggest gripe with this game, I don't know if I'm happy or upset at this.
U should be happy. Cuz when u pull dupe of 5Star but it come out at 4.5. U still get 100 shard n 1 awaken stone. So technical u get like 4% for 5 star

I would say she’s more accurate to Meena. Light afflicted dancers, support buffers, AoE Healer, single damager
I have a question non-related to the video tho. Sorry for asking again but I really have no idea and I dont want to mess it up.
What is the best use for shards?
Can we use the memory shards to redeem for the 50 weekly gold guidestones or should we save them for something better in the future?
Also, can we use the guidestones of 3☆ characters and some of the 4☆ ones that we don't use to get shards and exchange them or is it better to upgrade all the characters to improve the influence? If we can exchange them, is it better to exchange them for gold guidestones or is it worth using 30k to get the sacred seal? I'm preparing for Tikilen Cup and using the shards would be a great help but I don't want to mess it up and I would be willing to save them if there is a better option in the future
I know your content is 100% geared towards F2P or low spenders, but just a little thought for whales/Hasumi simps... that Awakening IV Equipment gives the same buff as the Bravely Fan and could be used to enhance Lynette's buffing abilities early.

Thanks for bringing up Varkyn and the later hyper offensive meta. Those are 2 points many others haven't brought up and I think that helped with my decision to not pull for her.
So later on, defensive buffs aren't used at all?
There is going to be characters who can do multi like heal + defensive buff at same time like Ophillia or regen+ defensive buff at same time that's why defensive ones are less important throughout later parts in this game. But due Hasumis versatile utility I recommend Hasumi over Kouren by a LOT not because Kouren is bad or anything, because you are going to get 2x more ☆5 warriors than other ☆5 classes in Japanese version we have 16 warriors and 8 apocathries and 8 dancers are tied for least number so that's why missing out dancers hurt way more than missing out warriors.

Now that they've gotten Hasumi out of the way, surely... SURELY there's going to be another OG character release... Right? *Inhales copium* And it's going to be Cyrus... Right?
To be fair, from the traveler seals gift for the update I got a Sofia Class up and i got a 5* Viola from the first step of the scarecrow step up banner, so I'm not going to complain that much this week.
But still, this is day 31 of playing COTC without Cyrus...

Honestly even if Cyrus does comes out soon, I feel like I'd have to wait since I personally think the "special" event in the October road map is very likely to be the nier collab, as it also comes out on the switch at that time.

I'd rather see Cyrus wait till I have 6000 gems saved in case I need to pity him. Personally.
I can pretty much guarantee H'aanit will be before Cyrus or any of the others that came much much later, H'aanit was the first of the OG's to release in JP.

Did you consider a good choice to put the bravely fan on her? To gain an extra SP reagen buff.
What kind of accessories should I put on her?
Light Runes are probably the most obvious choice if you want her to serve a more damage oriented role!
quick question, if I already have Millard (II) and Kouren (light magic offense), should I pursue her or it is better to go for Theo/Scarecrow upgrades (cheap ladder)
IMO, and this is just me. If you are a F2P then think on this. Both those units are meta for now but will drop off. I suppose you could do the 1st step up and possibly the 2nd and leave it at that. But also think long term for when the limited units and The real meta units come out. You are gonna want to go get the the most amount of Rubies that you can available for those units. Some people already have over 3k to 4k in rubies. And I am sure that eventually down the line you will end up getting Theo/Scarecrow down the line. But that is just my two pennies worth. Do what's right for you.
@@FuryKingW as far as I know, Theo would be decent for a while, while Scarecrow get screwed right with the next hunter. Yeah, what you have said seems fair, probably pull couple lvls and then save rubies, as for the new girl the only reason to want her is like her being a pair to Kouren lore-wise but unit-wise I guess I am good. Would rather prefer to get 5star Viola and Guilderoy (only 4.5 as now) I am currently lack in from original 8s. Preferable to get Viola, then I will send either Kouren or Fiore to the bench (maybe even Tressa, since she seems somewhat mediocre). Well, regarding whole F2P things, I generally don't buy anything (like in FE,DX2 etc), but I have bought beginner's pack somewhere on the second week, but only because I am liking the game and wanted to support SE that way. Not going to spend anymore, so the best option might be to skip both banners and even initial steps of the current ladder in order to save some rubies for Cyrus- Viola/Guilderoy ladder. I will see how it goes depending on how many rubies I get at the end of the next week, but thanks for tips.

@@FuryKingW In gacha games meta is super relative and just a matter of time. The power creap is real. We are talking about JP meta, but once they release new units in JP the "meta characters" we are pursuing atm are gonna change. In gacha games, since they are unfinish games with constant updates theres ALWAYS gonna be a better unit just around the corner, and since they change the release schedule for global we dont know for how long the actual meta is gonna be relevant.
Imho this is not a game to pursue meta, this game isn't difficult and it's doable with whatever you have. Sure, stronger units might make it easier, but you might as well play with the units you like and be as successful. You ain't competing with anyone.
How rare drop ? 1% or 2% ? Or even lower ??? Step up banner 2% drop rate last time.
Hey so my Lynette is maxed out and I have three more extra awakening stones. My account loves to pull her. I know you need one for her limit break, but will you be able to exchange them for other things later on?

I had no luck getting Tressa and Primrose on their banners so Im skipping Hasumi. Also I already Millard and I just got 5 Star Scarecrow from the 1st pull on the Step Up.
I need cyrus and some strong swordman....

Yeah this release confirms to me they are cherry picking units that were lesser used in JP probably + matching with content. So that means H'aanit next week RIGHT? *cough* Narr *cough* hm whats that? oh its nothing, just a cough. Nothing about characters who got forgotten

CotC is available in the Play Store/App Store. However it is region-locked, but there are some workarounds. For more info, check the video link in the description :)
