My dad and I are in a terrible fight right now because I nag him to go the doctor about an irregular mole. People can be so stubborn. This story should really be about a man openly accepting a woman’s advice! Now that’s incredible.

Katie From Colorado, I also live in CO. Please continue to encourage your Dad to get the mole (and his skin) checked out. It's the ABCDE's of assessing skin.
A- asymmetric (not a perfect circle or shape)
      B- borderline is irregular
      C- color varies
      D- diameter (size, length)
E- elevated (you can feel it on the skin surface)
      Good luck!

My mom, a (now retired) nurse caught an irregular mole in me (she still gives us checks) and caught early melanoma on herself and my dad. Early detection is so important with cancer. I live in Korea and just had a series of free cancer screenings from my national health insurance. If eligible people don’t get them and get cancer, the insurance won’t cover costs (or some costs).

Two people messaged him and told him he needed to have the moles (there was 2, I think) on his back looked at by a dermatologist. The doctor confirmed that the moles were cancerous. It's wild but a good story that shows people do care about one another.

When I first read this amazing story, I cried. I tried to relay the story to my husband, and completely butchered it. (Not every Irish person can tell a tale😹). I’m so happy that Seth has told it. We get to cry together now 😿. Seth, you are beloved and loved. Beliked and liked. Believed and unbelievably…..funny and so much fun. Thank you for working and not taking sick days LIKE YOU SHOULD BE. (Selfishly, I am so happy for your work ethic.). Get well sooner than later. ❤️

Really great for all people involved. But heartwarming stories shouldn't make us forget that it's not normal that everyone can't afford to see doctors, or that dermatologists are so scarce that getting an appointment takes a year. Occasional heroes don't make up for broken systems. That's too much to ask of Nadia.

I don't know if this counts as a "correction" but I think the fact that Seth's family shows up every Thanksgiving to tell family stories on TV objectively proves that he is at least beloved by the other members of the Meyers family.

Having just been scolded by the a**hole manager (or owner, not sure) of a gas station bc I left food behind their trash for a lost kitten during the december freeze, it is good to know there are still a few people on the other end of the spectrum, too...
That said... If people want uplifting stories, BE an uplifting story! Plenty need a little help out there. Not just with weird moles...

Thanks for the positive story. We need all the positivity possible right now. It's great that it didn't just end with him getting check out but the teams coming together to give her a scholarship. While it's a small portion of the cost of med school, it is still money that she doesn't have to come up with.

This is a GREAT story! But... CORRECTIONS ALERT: The beneficiary of Nadia's life-saving action, Brian "Red" Hamilton of the Canucks, is not a coach. He is the team's assistant equipment manager, according to the first line of his open letter at 2:34. The graphics department did you again, Seth.

I live in Vermont and more than once total strangers have suggested, in fact they have insisted that I have suspicious looking moles in my lawn.
Until now I have ignored their warnings. But in the spring, when the snow melts and I see those little dirt tunnels looking like spaghetti strings cris-crossing around the yard, I think I'll do something about them!
    Thank you Nadia!
