CORRECTION: You are beloved. Because you remind us every night you belove us.
Most wholesome Correction ever
right on
The way that Amber R. talks about your leadership on the show also makes you beloved.
I belove you, Seth
My dad and I are in a terrible fight right now because I nag him to go the doctor about an irregular mole. People can be so stubborn. This story should really be about a man openly accepting a woman’s advice! Now that’s incredible.
Katie From Colorado, I also live in CO. Please continue to encourage your Dad to get the mole (and his skin) checked out. It's the ABCDE's of assessing skin.
A- asymmetric (not a perfect circle or shape)
B- borderline is irregular
C- color varies
D- diameter (size, length)
E- elevated (you can feel it on the skin surface)
Good luck!
If he won’t go by himself, put him in a crate and take him to the vet.
My mom, a (now retired) nurse caught an irregular mole in me (she still gives us checks) and caught early melanoma on herself and my dad. Early detection is so important with cancer. I live in Korea and just had a series of free cancer screenings from my national health insurance. If eligible people don’t get them and get cancer, the insurance won’t cover costs (or some costs).
“If there were more people like Nadia, there would be more people.” This right here!!!!
Nadia recommends that you don't wear a scarf or she can't see the back of your neck. Neck pillows kill
more Decent People for sure.
She’s already saving lives and is going into the medical field to save even more lives. She is definitely a gift to this planet.
I hope Nadia can help us get free healthcare in the United States. Seriously, if she is a good doctor who actually cares about helping people, I do not want "the system" to punish her for having morals. I would say the same thing if she was a police officer who does not just shoot unarmed suspects.
She’s also going to donate her left kidney. What a special human being.
Beloved, yes. No other word captures the place Seth has in our hearts after keeping us sane and laughing through 2 years of madness (6 years?!)
Six years, definitely.
That would be 18 years in dog years. Feels like it too.
This young lady is the kind of person the news should be about but rarely is. As someone who is battling stage 4 breast cancer that has infiltrated major organs, I am SO happy she saved this man. ❤️
Sending love to you❤
-a fellow jackal 🐾
Prayers to you also 🙏
So much love and wishes to you and the people around you. Win the battle for all of us ❤
@@silvertheorist Thank you. Unfortunately prognosis isn’t good, all I can do is take each day. I feel fortunate enough to have my family around me.
❤
Last week my friend's husband's barber noticed a new mole on his scalp and told him to get it checked out. Turns out it was cancer and they recently had it removed. It's so crazy how suddenly warnings appear and how easy they are to ignore.
Maybe that should become a formal part of barber or hair dresser training. Melanoma can be exceedingly deadly if it isn't caught early and when it appears on the scalp it can be next to impossible to detect.
@Netya peca 😡
@@heidihogshire It was when I took cosmetology more than 35 years ago.
Thank you for this good story. My friend's husband died at 37 from a cancerous mole that had unknowingly spread. It was less than 2 months from diagnosis to his death and obviously shocking. Also a good reminder that I need to see my dermatologist.
If only I could get myself a damn appointment to a dermatologist. Family doctor says it's all fine.
That’s very sad
Damn honey. Are you doing ok?
Yay! The hijinks with "The Thornbirds" are back!
And multiplying!
Fantastic story!
She's a real hero... could use more heroes in this world!
Too true! There should be more of us!!
These stories happen all day long, but you only hear about the onesthat involve famous people and cancer.
How many times have you flashed your car's headlights at an oncomoing car that didn;t have their lights on? That also saved a life, just not involving a famous person or cancer.
@@vinny142 I was in a car with a friend driving, when we passed by a cop car, and… I mean, no one can drive past a cop car without getting a little nervous. And the cop yelled at us, “TURN YOUR LIGHTS ON!” #smallThingsSaveLivesToo
Yep. I too had someone say to me, "Uh, you should have a doctor look at that." It probably saved my life--I can relate.
Definitely needed as I burst into tears about the scholarship (paying off student loans is HARD)! Wishing you all the best opportunities Nadia!
Same! That got me right in the feels 😭😭😭
It should make you burst into tears when you realize that 2 teams gave her 10k, and the lowest player salary in the NHL is 750k.
LOL-these days, 10K will pay for the first week of med school.
@@Sad7Statue You aren’t wrong, especially since medical school often runs around $50,000-$75,000 a year.
I just saw that Kelly Clarkson's Show matched their donation as well :)
You’re definitely beloved Seth! ❤️
Similar situation happened in 2020, a guy named Alex Griswold posted on tiktok. For a short portion of video, you could see his shirtless back. Two people messaged him and told him he needed to have the moles (there was 2, I think) on his back looked at by a dermatologist. The doctor confirmed that the moles were cancerous. It's wild but a good story that shows people do care about one another.
You didn't say it was actually diagnosed as cancerous once removed, so I looked it up and yeah... malignant melanoma. I hope they got it all and he stays healthy and happy! Go, Nadia!
@B.Vaughan. Red did go to a plastic surgeon and had the second layer of his skin were the mole area was removed and tested. And he tested negative for skin cancer. So he is cancer free now. He got lucky that Nadia, (who is my best friends daughter and I knew Nadia since she was a baby) spotted the mole and that Red got it checked before it spread to the rest of his body. Nadia you are a very special person and a HERO! 👍👊💚❤️👏🥰
As a Toronto Maple Leafs fan and a Canadian I can't thank this young lady anymore she's a superhero 🦸🏻♀️
I get "as a Canadian" but what has Toronto got to do with anything. Guess Canuck fans would say, nothing😜✌🏽
GROSSS!!!!!! you're a leaves fan.
@@RahRan123 you mean *Leafs* fan
@@42.0fmthefever5 I guess that depends on how the match is going
I'm a Canadian and live in B.C. and have been a Canucks fan since they entered the NHL in 1970. Having a Seattle team is something I've been waiting a long time for, and this story is just icing on the cake. The story got a lot of airplay on Vancouver news stations a week or so ago, and something Seth didn't mention is that when the mole was checked out, the doctor told Hamilton that if he had ignored it, he'd be dead in four to five years.
her mom must be so damm proud
All the love, Nadia. Bless you forever. This made me Google cancerous moles, and cancerous moles in dark skin. I will now be on the lookout for myself and others.
Good looking out on the moles of different skin tones ^_^
Please do more of these. Bad news gets more views and more people talking, but spreading positivity and seeing people smile makes a person feel so much better than holding the attention of gossip seekers.
Oh man, you should look through the ones he’s already done, if you haven’t already! These are always awe inspiring!
I wish we could do one every day. Maybe people should start sending them in. I hate to be cynical and say that there isn't enough good going around for us to do one every day... but it sure would be a great thing.
That was a story we need right now. I bet she would even say that she is not a hero but just a good human being who thought they could help and did regardless of sport, politics etc. My spirits = lifted. 😑
This woman's selflessness is very heartening and shows kindness is always worthwhile. Nadia rocks!
She is a real hero
Seth is correcting himself live while telling a kind of a story we need right now.
They don't ask you what you did on your holiday in med school.
I know I'm evil, because I'm hoping a jackel discovers evidence that some med schools do.
@@victoriahiggins5458 😃 That's actually great.
Nadia is truly an inspiring person and I do love how she got scholarship money as a well-deserved 'thank you'!
Canucks fan and a Canadian (Canuckle head), I've loved watching this story evolve. So heartwarming
Hope you are feeling better. And yes, we love you Seth. Have missed you immensely.
Oh, Seth! You ARE beloved!
It was a great and a very fortunate thing that she saw it.I hope she has a great career in medicine as she already showed her empathy for other people, which all good medical experts need.
You are absolutely loved Seth I'm so happy you're doing ok ❤ .
That really was the kind of story we need right now! Thanks Seth & Crew❤️❤️❤️
You rock, Nadia! We love you, Seth!
You made me cry. Bloody nice people. Love from an Aussie in Ireland 🍀
You had us at "beloved," Seth.
Please don't ever stop doing these. As everything else is falling apart, these are the kinds of stories we definitely need right now.
I was just thinking of the need for this segment today after I read a different uplifting story.
She’s a real hero
They all don't wear capes.
you guys have really low standards, isn't this just basic decency?
@@diazinth BEGON TROLL...WE WILL NOT BE PAYING YOUR TOLL...🖕
Nadia is great. And Seth is too, he helps us through hard times. Each one fully lives their calling.
Americans may not realize he didn't have to worry about meeting his health insurance plan annual deductible or paying any copays to get treated... If only U S. had Medicare for all. ☮️
I saw this flash through social media but I'm glad you put the whole thing together, vetted it and put it here. You, Seth Myers team, are what we need right now.
Seth, you are beloved, be-liked, and beautiful. We love you! (in my case, from all the way over in Christchurch, New Zealand and if you ever need someone to pick you up at the airport here and show you around, I'm on it. Because you are so belovely.)
The Canadian Spirit seeps into folks at Hockey games.. even it's free healthcare.
Also, having grown up in Canada, I can attest that most diagnosis are made with a beer in hand.
*its
@@squirreland Jackal! 🤗
@@squirreland no "it's" was correct.
@@RubyDoobieScoo "it's" is a contraction of "it is". "its" is the possessive of "it". I don't think that the original sentence was supposed to be "The Canadian Spirit seeps into folks at Hockey games.. even it is free healthcare."
Ya got that right.
Correction Seth, beloved isn’t even close to describing you! Lifesaving is more like it!
That young lady is amazing!!!!! Nadia - you're an amazing person!!! Best of luck with everything. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true forever and ever!!!!!!
Beautiful story - yes, it is much needed right now! What a true hero she is
Great story! Kind of like things I do. If I see someone is troubled in any way, I try to help- if I can't-hopefully I know of someone who CAN.Some people take compassion for weakness. It's a strength of character! Had to respond cuz you & I have the same name! Many blessings to everyone! May this yr bring us all peace and prosperity! Belated bday wishes Seth-my fellow Capricorn! The light of goodness shines from you to us! More stories like this to make our day a little brighter.
@@deborahwilson4684 That is absolutely true; it is a strength of character. We do have the same name - Nice to meet ya!
I worked with an endocrine surgeon who some years back approached a stranger in an airport and told them to see a doctor about their thyroid... cancer. To think so many people would just keep to themselves due to some of our weird social contracts.
I saw something similar about a person who had seen someone, I believe, on the Internet or on television and gave them the same notification
You can diagnose thyroid cancer just from brief and casual observation like that? How?
@@heidihogshire The patient may have had a visible goiter (lump on their throat) but even so, that doesn't mean it's cancer. I had to have a nuclear medicine scan, an ultrasound, and a biopsy before my doctor was comfortable giving me a diagnosis. I really don't think you can tell by just looking.
@@heidihogshire You can see a goiter on someone's neck. Sometimes it's an issue of sodium and sometimes it's thyroid cancer.
@@heidihogshire Like someone already said, you can spot a lump, you can't diagnose it as cancer. I believe he told the person "it could be cancer, get it checked out." Of course that comes from his several decades as a head endocrine surgeon.
Oh seth you are absolutely beloved by us jackals!
I have always said that hockey will bring us together. The beautiful game, indeed.
It's the best game you can name :)
All Canucks fans are thankful for Nadia looking out for Red
Seth, if you happen to read this, I just want you to know, I gleefully count myself as a jackal. But at the same time, I love you like a neighbor, just as Mr. Rogers taught me to do to all my neighbors. I'm so very sorry you've had to handle becoming infected. and I seriously admire how you've managed to stay in high spirits on camera in what is unavoidably stressful in this situation.
That said, the warning signs of a malignant melanoma are seriously easy to notice even at long distances. I learned to spot the warning signs for the specific color and shape back when I was a 15 year old, being pumped full of depression-inducing Accutane in a desperate attempt to no longer be the manifestation of a pimple from the neck up. Thanks puberty!
Seth, you are indeed beloved because you’re real with us. In fact, you’re so beloved and beliked that I would like you to take some time off to rest and recover. This is an exhausting illness, with potential for that exhaustion to last a long time. Please care for yourself; we’ll wait here ❤️
Can we do these once a week, Seth? The kind of stories we've needed for 2 yrs now?
If there were enough such stories that we could have one every week, we wouldn't need them so much.
You are so beloved, Seth. Please do all the things you can do to get well and stay well. We need you.
Clapping at the end of this one, Seth!
I love you regardless of where you broadcast. Get well soon..
I LOVE this segment, Seth & team! Get well soon!
Hey Nadia,
You got a bunch of fans down in Portland
that think your pretty cool!!
Thanks, Seth! We are our brother's keeper. We need more people like Nadia and you.
Nadia is definitely the best of us.
The canucks also shared the video of this moment where they gave her the money mid game and it is so sweet and she deserves it!💕
Having a disproportionately joyful response to this segment. It kind of made my day. Also, the Seattle Kraken? Also shocked that's real. Do they ever match up against the Portland Guy On Flying Horse With Head Covered In Snakes? Either way, Go Nadia! More of this!
Go Flying Horse Snakes!
When I first read this amazing story, I cried. I tried to relay the story to my husband, and completely butchered it. (Not every Irish person can tell a tale😹). I’m so happy that Seth has told it. We get to cry together now 😿. Seth, you are beloved and loved. Beliked and liked. Believed and unbelievably…..funny and so much fun. Thank you for working and not taking sick days LIKE YOU SHOULD BE. (Selfishly, I am so happy for your work ethic.). Get well sooner than later. ❤️
Great to hear some jokes about good news. Hope this segment is here to stay.
Bless you for saying , "It's nearly impossible to get good medical care in America" That is totally my experience! I feel validated. Thank you! Seth, you are beliked! ;D
Really great for all people involved. But heartwarming stories shouldn't make us forget that it's not normal that everyone can't afford to see doctors, or that dermatologists are so scarce that getting an appointment takes a year. Occasional heroes don't make up for broken systems. That's too much to ask of Nadia.
The guy lives in Canada. They have actual health care there.
Well said, Amélie!
I don't know if this counts as a "correction" but I think the fact that Seth's family shows up every Thanksgiving to tell family stories on TV objectively proves that he is at least beloved by the other members of the Meyers family.
Betolerated for the airtime, if nothing else! :)
We all want you to get better Seth. We really like you.
Now THAT'S the kind of person who deserves to be told "Thank you for your service!"
Definitely need more of her around.
I'd love to hear more of these kinds of stories all the time, like at least one every show.
Having just been scolded by the a**hole manager (or owner, not sure) of a gas station bc I left food behind their trash for a lost kitten during the december freeze, it is good to know there are still a few people on the other end of the spectrum, too...
That said... If people want uplifting stories, BE an uplifting story! Plenty need a little help out there. Not just with weird moles...
Thanks for the positive story. We need all the positivity possible right now. It's great that it didn't just end with him getting check out but the teams coming together to give her a scholarship. While it's a small portion of the cost of med school, it is still money that she doesn't have to come up with.
Thank-you Seth for bringing attention to such a deserving person! 😇
Thank you Nadia for your good heart. Nadias are good people. We always want to help, do good anywhere we go. We thrive to make the world a better place . I'm thankful to my dad who gave me that name.
Look out, Seth, the Thorn Birds books are already multiplying behind your back!
This story was so heartwarming, I almost didn't notice it's "The Thornbirds" breeding season again.
I don't know Nadia, but I do know that people like her make this world a better place to live
The story really got better and better, so wholesome!
True that, it is always great to hear people that care about people.
I love the fact that a few of your "This is the kind-of story we need right now" pieces has had a Canadian connection. Love it!
This is a GREAT story! But... CORRECTIONS ALERT: The beneficiary of Nadia's life-saving action, Brian "Red" Hamilton of the Canucks, is not a coach. He is the team's assistant equipment manager, according to the first line of his open letter at 2:34. The graphics department did you again, Seth.
Hope you're getting rest and doing well, Seth.
Thank you for keeping our spirits up w/ your show 🥰👍
Love this idea. You're right. We need more stories like this one.
My mom loves you is the most Canadian thing I’ve ever heard 🤣😂
Magnificent!
You are loved. I choked up when he said my mom loves you.
That woman deserves a lifetime hockey game pass!!
Omg, they’re back!!!!!
The Thorn birds are back!!!
Thank you, 🥲.
She's a real hero...
YOU ARE BELOVED! Don't doubt it. I'm grateful for you and your entire show staff on a level so deep I can't find it.
Amazing! Definitely needed this right now
She got a shout out by the announcer at the arena too. And the crowd cheered
I live in Vermont and more than once total strangers have suggested, in fact they have insisted that I have suspicious looking moles in my lawn.
Until now I have ignored their warnings. But in the spring, when the snow melts and I see those little dirt tunnels looking like spaghetti strings cris-crossing around the yard, I think I'll do something about them!
Thank you Nadia!
I love it, Seth! Keep doing this. We do need it. ...People are coming back from the dead left and right these days & keep telling us we need to raise the vibration on Earth by FEELING MORE LOVE
So hear me out. I usually watch these just before I get up for work. My alarm to get up is "Seasons of Love" from rent. I was watching this and just as Seth was signing off with Story we need right now, my alarm goes off, my heart skips and I start crying hard. Timing is everything folks.
Awww. ❤️ Speaking of “Seasons of Love,” Colbert recently had an awesome insurrection-themed parody of it for the Jan 6 anniversary: czcams.com/video/H_IxT2ei9gU/video.html
This woman is gonna do great things.
The new mascot cracked me up😂
Nov. of 2022 and we still need this story.

On a serious note, this is definitely a great story. We need more people like her!
On point, we need to all be watching out for each other.
