Living in south FL where all year round its shorts/tshirt weather, my edc is the LCP Max.
I really appreciate your comparison video. I have a 43x for CC and have been contemplating getting the LCP max for a while now, just because I'd like something extra small for the summer months, when concealment is trickier. This really helped me see the size difference. Thank you!
Once you get it, you probably won't carry anything else. Check out our LCP max playlist for everything that you will need to do to it...
This helped me decide between the two! Thank you for this comparison much needed 💅🏽✨
Which one did you get?
Great job Thanks!!
Welcome
I own both and carry both. To me they're both nice guns and serve my purpose.
Glock 43x is my fall/winter regular carry and the Ruger LCP max is my summer/deep concealment carry. They both have been amazing. I just wish I could get both their grip angles the same. Switching from one to the other takes an adjustment period
Yep, it's kinda like driving two different vehicles. But you get used to it. It becomes 2nd nature with enuff practice
Have both and put over 1000 rounds through both. Excellent pistols , best in their class in my opinion. 75% of the time I pocket the LCP and feel confident in its ability to protect but….. the 9mm 43x is undoubtedly the better option if you had to be engaged in a fire fight it’s just sooo much easier to pocket carry than to IWB carry so LCP all the way b/c it’s always with you but really ….. not comparable IMO.
I have the Glock 43X, I put a Talon (Rubber style adhesive grip on first, then a Houge rubber frip on top of the Talon. It is pure heaven. Much better controll and the Houge stays in place. In total 20.00 for the Talon grip and 15.00 for the Houge grip. This is a winner for me. In addition I stick to the lighter Grain ammo. Great video. Thank you-Please keep them comming-Shawn.
Will do
Great Video O.G #dressed2kill iam get a 43X and mill the slide 😎 🌊🙏🏾💪🏿💪🏿🥂👑💣💣💣💣🔥🔥🔥🔥🚀
When did they quit allowing constructive critisism comments on youtube? Shout out pipewagon. Make many more, but still...
👍
I have both they're both great! 43x is more accurate as far as reaching out longer distance. Which one would I rather have in a battle the 43x. Which one is easier to carry Ruger LCP Max.
Actually, the LCP with the right supersonic/ faster ammo 1160 fps or more is waay more accurate than the 43x at distances due to less recoil.
In addition you can add the 15 round mag. This is huge.
Max for me. True EDC
LCP365
What version of the Hogue grip did you buy?
one for ruger ec/ lc9
I have both. Got the max elite and couldn't be happier. Amazing pocket carry pistol.
I carry the 43x MOS in the winter when I need extra penetration through more layers of clothing.
The max gives me no reason to not carry.
HOWEVER!
The one issue I've had so far with the ruger lcp max (elite version) is that the gun does not like ejecting live rounds. About 35-40% of the time it'll get jammed and stuck in the chamber and I'll have to rip the mag out 50% of the time to get it out.
I also haven't shot this gun even once so that could be a contributing factor, but I'm not the only one with this issue. Others have it too.
This is concerning for me because if I have a failure to fire, it can turn into basically a double feed and make the malfunction even worse. I can get the live rounds to eject about 50% of the time but I have to rack the slide so hard that it rips the skin on my finger.
In a life or death situation with sweaty and shaking hands, that can be problematic.
Other than that, love the gun.
I would trust the glock in terms of reliability, but I wasn't carrying everywhere 24/7 with the 43X MOS because appendix carrying all day sucks and hurts.
So maybe the ruger is more reliable considering I carry it EVERYWHERE lol.
But if shit hits the fan at night, the first gun I'll probably grab is my 43X on my nightstand.
"about 35-45% of the..... Rip the mag out 50%" ?? How when when you never shot the gun?? Am I missing something?
Any new gun you get, check/ clean chamber and oil the rails before firing 50- 100 rounds thru it before you start carrying it
@@PipeWagonTV I insert a fully loaded magazine.
I rack the slide to chamber a round.
It's chambered.
I try performing a malfunction drill. (failure to fire. Tap, rack, bang.)
I tap. I rack. Wait. The live bullet is stuck in the chamber. Great.
Rip magazine out. Lock slide to the rear. Live bullet comes out.
Put magazine back in. Rack slide. Round is chambered.
Perform the same drill. Wow it worked this time. Trys it again. Same issue. Live round stuck in the chamber. Strip mag out. Lock slide to the rear. Live bullet falls out.
@@PipeWagonTV The live round doesn't get stuck in the chamber all the time, but enough for me to be worried.
@@PipeWagonTV This is pretty much what the malfunction looks like when trying to eject the live round: czcams.com/video/RZtBjd4esTE/video.html
Man you cant be serious, that vid is a joke. He is causing the malfunction on purpose
Lcp also has 12rd mag
Thats how I carry mine
Dramatic difference nice. 43x can pocket carry and shoots like a midsize with 15rd capacity (upgraded mag). Interesting.
Dont forget Max has a 12 round mag also
I like my 43x but the Shield Plus edges it out IMO. I added a Shield Plus to my carry rotation a few months back. I wanted higher factory mag capacity and the stock trigger and sights are a lot nicer. Still have the 43x, but I don't carry it much anymore. My LCP Max however is my usual go-to. It's just so small, combined with it's mag capacity, it's hard to beat in it's class. It's very comfortable and easy to carry. I have had zero issues with it after 600+ rounds. If you add a Hogue grip (for an LCP II) it handles a lot better when shooting. I've also upgraded the trigger to the Siguard, and increased the recoil spring to 13lbs, both of which improved the gun that much more. I'd caution against lightening the hammer spring just for the added safety the factory 6lbs gives you against ND's. But between this and my others, I typically grab the LCP Max 75% of the time I am leaving the house. It's convenient and I have no doubts in it's ability to protect a life.
Facts
Max, easily.
Where did you buy flat red trigger ?
Galloway
Buy the elite version for like $60 more. You get a better rust protective coating, a better trigger, stainless steel guiderod, two magazines, magazine reloader, anx a extended base plate. The $60 is worth the money on the protective coating alone.
Max is best for total concealment.
yep, big time
Max 380
LCP max it is..
Hard not to go with the max, esp with the right ammo
This is just my personal non-expert opinion. The comparison is mis-matched, the Glock 43X is a lightweight compact sized primary carry civilian self-defence pistol for most men & women, whereas the LCP Max is a backup carry pistol for most folks except in the case of the elderly, disabled or small females who carry it as a primary weapon. Both pistols have their place in a persons self-defence options
Def not a back-up. Check out our playlist.... More people carry this as a primary than you think (men & women of all ages)... Primary all day with the right ammo
@@PipeWagonTV As I wrote it is a primary for some but not considered a primary for others.
