I made this today, so so so good!!!! I used air fryer to fry the chicken and still taste good!! The sauce is da bom! This dish is very simple to make and very addicting taste too! THANK YOU Maangchi!! ❤

1. Maangchi, you are no typical housewife ever; you are incredible and such a huge help to those who know nothing about cooking. You make cooking accessible to so many people! And thank you for sharing your culture!
2. Thank you for the video footage of you washing your hands - as a teacher and a parent, it really does help promote hygiene and the importance of washing away germs.
It's also good for washing away the chili oil left on your fingers. I've suffered a few times for not doing so!

I live an hour from my mother who is Korean. I don’t get to see her that often even though we’re so close. Watching your videos always makes me smile and miss my mom. I have made many of your dishes. I have to say it’s given my mother and me more to talk about. She’s thrilled I’ve taken an interest in cooking foods that she has made for us as kids. So thank you so much 😊
This comment jumped out to me. Please forgive me in advance if I’m overstepping but spend as much time with mom as often as you can. If you can’t do it in person, FaceTime, Skype each other making Maangchi’s dishes. My mother passed last year and all I can think about are the times she just wanted to spend time and I made excuses. I miss her so much and wished I would have spent time cooking with her. Mothers are very special. Love on yours as much as you can while she’s here. Take care!

I love how much Korean foods use a lot of produce! Especially vegetables! I've always hated vegetables, but these recipes make it so much easier!!😊

hi maangchi! if i may, i wanted to suggest a tip for some of your viewers who may have a sensitivity to garlic like me. my favorite recipe of yours is the gaji namul, but the raw garlic in the sauce (and in this chicken sauce too!) makes my stomach very uncomfortable. i found that if i remove the green sprout in the middle of the garlic, i don't have an uncomfortable stomach when having raw garlic in my seasoning sauce! i'm able to eat as much garlic as i want! thank you for your delicious recipes and i hope this helps someone!

Hi Maangchi! Ah, I've been learning and cooking your recipes for a long time! I'm a bit sad, I want to cook this but I sold my home and have been stuck living in a camper with no power for 2 months now! So hard to find a place to live with all the craziness going on these days. So here I am stuck for the holidays unable to even cook.... at least I can watch you cook! At least that's something to cheer me up! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

@@elizab3230 Think hard! I'm 62 & disabled, sold my home to get out from under a mortgage payment, plan was buy a small place cash, live with less stress and struggle. I thought, buy a used camper, stay at an rv park awhile till i find a home to buy. By the time I finalized the camper, no spots were available! Now Im sitting in someones driveway, no power or water, no holidays. If your not traveling, secure a spot first. And I'm in a 31ft, after awhile, cabin fever kicks in even in 31 ft! Good luck to you, research and be happy!

I made your recipe of soy marinated fresh blue crab but with quite a bit of apprehension about it being not cooked, etc. Well, let me tell you, I was sucking on those shells like you won't believe! They were delicious by themselves and with rice, nori, sesame oil and other such traditional ingredients. Your recipe, as always, was precise and superbly tasty!

OMG, Maangchi, this is the recipe. *almost cries* I knew a Korean family (friends of my best friend when I was little) when I was little and they made this now and then. All the recipes I have tried were not right. I tried this... OMG. It's right. I have spent an hour on my kitchen floor eating chicken and reeling.

We prepared this yesterday and it was delicious. I reduced the amount of Chili peppers. We like to eat spicy food but we are a bit weak... Because I don‘t eat meat I deep fried oyster mushrooms, my husband had the chicken.

I could see this also working well with your soy butter recipe. Just the marinate with melted butter, drizzled over top of the chicken. The fried chicken would give it a different dimension to the original
