We had a stone oven that could cook an entire pizza in a minute and a half, but I was instructed on setting it for 2, and to be really cheap with ingredients. I felt horrible doing that and actually improved the process, I started adding more sauce and cheese and toppings, making them the way _I'd like_ to have my pizza. I ended up being really liked by the owner of the place that one time I made him one, but not with my immediate boss. But we went from serving one or two pizzas a night to more than ten every single time. I ended up quitting because everyone did blow, tho. And considering I already struggled with alcoholism back then, yeah, didn't need that. I hope they kept my process around, just for the sake of good food.

The only worse salad I can think of is original-style Cuban "salads", with which I'm unfortunately all too familiar, as I'm born and raised in Miami. They shred a bunch of iceberg lettuce, then put a big tomato slice on it (not wedge, not even diced, but a broad disk of tomato like you would put on a burger) and a slice of yellow onion. And that's all you get. The whole thing is literally presented to you like burger toppings you got on the side. Then they give you stale old olive oil and plain vinegar (separate from each other, not even shaken together) to sprinkle on top of it along with some salt. Then you have to eat the whole thing with a fork and knife because you have to cut the fucking burger tomato and burger onion into bite-sized pieces. It's a disgrace.

There's actually one Greek pizzeria where I live, and they actually make a decent salad. It has no white/brown tough parts, the salad is surprisingly fresh, tomatoes are nicely cut and so is the cucumbers, there's no jalopenos, there's marinated red onion and sweet peppers that are nice and crispy, they put fucking freshly made pesto on it like what, there's actual high quality feta cheese in it too, and there's warm bread croutons too. Aaaand you get to pick tuna, smoked salmon, or chicken as meat too. The dressing isn't overwhelming either, some slightly garlic tasting creamy sauce that doesn't drench the whole dish. And all of it costs around 10€ which is less than the average pizza. So I am one of the "weird ones" that buy a salad from a pizza place. Mainly because this one pizza place offers the best salad I have ever eaten, for cheaper than I can make it at home.

The main issue these people have with warm salads is they don't get to the door fast enough, and the ten minutes of delivery really messes with them.

My cousin worked at the customer service at a Walmart back in the 90’s. There was a small chain pizza shop inside when you first walked in. He’s told some of the most ridiculous stories of people who had ordered from the pizza shop, and once in a while someone would come in with either a pizza or salad or whatever and, rather than bring it back to the pizza place where it originally came from, they’d bring their items and complaints up to customer service and yell at them about it, when they had zero part in it. Several instances were regarding the salads being made exactly like this video😆 It was the funniest thing to him when he first saw this clip on TV because it reminded him of those instance

The pizza bag separates hot/cold in the car, or they can be sat separately by the driver.
The main issue these people have with warm salads is they don't get to the door fast enough, and the ten minutes of delivery really messes with them.

@@davidnissim589 Actually its because the topping olives come frozen and pre-cut. The olives they use in salad they buy at grocery store in a can. Cutting them would require extra work and time they aren't gonna do.

That 'right on top of the pizza so it stays nice and warm' actually happened to one I was delivering. Got to the door with a cold one separate from the food and found a hot salad IN THE BAG right on the pizza. Told the guy once I found it 'who the heck does that? nobody wants a warm salad!' and gave him the cold one.

My cousin worked at the customer service at a Walmart back in the 90’s. There was a small chain pizza shop inside when you first walked in. He’s told some of the most ridiculous stories of people who had ordered from the pizza shop, and once in a while someone would come in with either a pizza or salad or whatever and, rather than bring it back to the pizza place where it originally came from, they’d bring their items and complaints up to customer service and yell at them about it, when they had zero part in it. Several instances were regarding the salads being made exactly like this video😆 It was the funniest thing to him when he first saw this clip on TV because it reminded him of those instance

It's offered as a convenience. Usually pizza places are suited for families or parties. Maybe not everyone wants pizza. And if it's on their menu it should be right. Personally I would never trust pizza place salads. I make my own or I go to Saladworks if I want pros to make it.

They hated the fact the Salad was served in an aluminum pan. I used to deliver to them. They signed a box to the two Italian owners Leo & Ali...The Rocco's brand in LA has been around now for almost 25 years. Wow how time flies.
