    1. Mo’s Team: 71-11 (Lost in Finals game 7 by 2 points)
    2. Isaac’s Team: 68-14 (Won the Finals)
    3. Don’s Team: 72-10 (Lost in EC Finals to Isaac’s team)
    This completely proved me wrong cause I thought Isaac’s team would be the worse while Don’s was running through every team. But looks like Bosh wasn’t as much of a hole as I thought he’d be.

    Don really does know ball the best of this group. Bridges is about that. Very underrated player and think he has the right take on Middleton. Also I share the frustration that kawhi and PG always go down when you need them and it hurts the team. Finally tatum has surpassed lebron as the best small forward. He’s a better shooter, better defender, gets to the basket just as well, better rebounder, only thing lebron does better is pass and last post season his age showed because he did have games where he was slower and didn’t perform after going all out and having a great game.
    Also, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, John Havlicek, and Isaiah Thomas have left the chat as well as a few others that could have had an argument

    • @billalzerouali4436

      Lebron is a better defender than tatum

    • @LearningHoops
      @LearningHoops Před rokem +2

      Jayson Tatum even to this day does not get to the basket better. He’s lowkey way too reliant on his jumper. The struggles he had in the 2022 finals are still the same struggles in the 2023 ecf. I’d take Tatum too, but just because of the youth and consistency. A healthy LeBron still has the slight edge just because of the rim pressure and playmaking and this year as a help defender he was amazing.

    • @as5622
      @as5622 Před rokem

      @@LearningHoops I disagree. Tatum averaged 2.3 free throws more a game and while lebron still has that athleticism, it isn’t what it use to be. Tatum also has mastered footwork inside with his euro step and has great finishing with either hand and his threat of being a better shooter also allows him to get a quick step on his defenders. If you want to say lebron is better I can’t say that’s a hot take or a bad take but I don’t think it’s a major difference. Lebrons help defense I wouldn’t say was amazing but tatums on ball defense is much better which I would rather have over lebrons right now.

    • @agusgasco7523
      @agusgasco7523 Před rokem

      I agree with Tatum being better right now, but Tatum absolutely does not get to the basket better than Lebron.
      The limitations on his passing and dribbling he does a decent job overcoming. BUT, the finishing is SO inconsistent. If he isn’t dunking that mf it’s such a roulette if he actually converts. There’s a lack of touch around the rim, especially when he isn’t using the backboard.

    • @LearningHoops
      @LearningHoops Před rokem

      @@as5622 if he mastered that, why are teams still closing out so hard on him compared to other players? I know that Tatum has great shooting, but teams are willing to let him drive because it is easier to defend him. You can only do so much euro-steps in a game. He has great footwork, but not at the rim. He is not a threat as a post-up player (yet as I believe he will be if not soon, but in the future). I would take Tatum too over LeBron for the most part. I'd take LeBron tho especially deeper into the playoffs as rim pressure and manipulating defenses are so important in that stretch. Tatum is still figuring out how to balance his scoring variance as he is so reliant on his three ball. Look at all the bad games he has had the playoffs and you would see that the common denominator is his poor shooting especially in that game 6 against the 76ers but he made up for it in the end.

    I think the debate of injury prevalence is a tough one, and it kinda depends on the question you’re asking. Like at peak performance you gotta have kawhai top 3, but if you’re talking projected impact for the season, it’s hard to even put him top 5 because you know you’re losing 20+ games a year with him.

    People are saying Jaylen had turnover problems because it was the playoffs, when the Heat had time to dissect film, but after that game 7, it’s not like teams are going to have to rework their defences to force him left. Put your second best wing defender on him, and glue him to JB’s right side. I’d bet he’s working on his left hand, but again: forcing a guy left is one of the most mundane things any defence can do.
