That’s what I’m saying. It’s fine to have other teams over Boston in terms of title contention but they’ve easily been the best team statistically. You didn’t even mention the home record, it’s by far the best in the league, it’s not even close
The reason is not being a casual and watching the games where they sometimes struggle to close them out instead of looking at the boxscore and saying they are the best because their offenisve rating is fire :0
@@konraditoxd6625 The Celtics have a 76% win percentage rn, the only team remotely close to them are the Thunder with a 71% win percentage. Also the Celtics have closed out plenty of relatively close games this season as well, and have had the toughest SOS so far this season, meaning they’ve been beating good teams in a commanding fashion pretty often. Overall they’ve been dominant more often than not, and in terms of what has been accomplished this season, they’ve simply been the best, so they should be #1 in a power ranking. It’s fine to have concerns with Boston for the playoffs, you can still have teams like Denver, Milwaukee, LAC and others ahead of them in a title contention ranking, but in a power ranking based on this season it’s undeniable that they’ve the best team in basketball

@@thedeep3pod it’s fair to question the consensus, obviously it’s not clear cut that the Celtics will win a championship this year. Basketball is a game of luck as much as it is skill, and sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way and it is what it is. But through 45 games the Celtics are the clear cut best team in basketball. They haven’t been perfect but they’re top 3 in defense and offense. Best net rating. I haven’t made it to the ranking section yet to see your reasoning, but when I get to the end I’ll give my thoughts.

Love the pod yall! I'm not sure how much I like the "power rankings" when doing rankings, it feels like there's too many rules to it and I think having more projecting is more fun and dynamic
Also the soundboard stuff is funny but the volume of it is way too loud and should be used pretty sparingly imo

I don’t see how the Celtics aren’t #1. They have won the most games in the league, have by far the best home record, are top 5 in both offensive and defensive rating, and have the best net rating. I’m ok with having teams like LAC, Denver, Milwaukee, Philly and Miami equal to or over them in a playoff ranking but it’s undeniable that they’ve been the best team in the league so far, I don’t see how it could possibly be a discussion. As Isaac said power rankings should be based on what a team has showed throughout the season and the Celtics have simply been the best overall

The Celtics hating is getting out of control. THEY ARE THE BEST TEAM IN THE NBA. No one said that the warriors weren’t the best team in the league to start next year, so why meat ride the nuggets? The Celtics are the best in so many catagories and just had one of the greatest shooting games of all time. And if this is off just this year, the nuggets are def not better
I lieu of the firing of Griffins, why not make an episode on coaches, It would be interesting to see if you think some are great, others need to go etc. Especially cuz as a casual fan it's not easy to get everything that goes into coaching

Mo’s Team: 54-28 (Lost game 7 in NBA Finals)
It’s so weird how everything turned out cause Mo’s team had the worst record, but made it farthest in the playoffs. Isaac’s team had the best record, but they got eliminated in the FIRST ROUND!!

Draft Idea: You can draft anyone you want but you can’t draft NBA players, College players, Highschool players, Overseas players, and G League players. For example you can draft NFL players, basketball content creators, etc. Just nobody who somewhat plays professional basketball.
