  • Acid-insoluble ash consists primarily of silica and silicates. The Acid Insoluble Ash content is the proportion of a sample that is not hydrolysed by 40% HCl and is not subsequently volatilised upon the incineration of this Acid Insoluble Residue. This video represent a complete procedure for the determination of Acid Insoluble Ash of a sample.

      Irfan Ali, Thank you for your comment.
      I can guide you to the experiment you mentioned. Videos are already uploaded. Do the following:
      1. First extract the fat of bakery product following our video entitled "Determination of Crude Fat" (You can find the video of fat extraction in our playlist 'Proximate Analysis'
      2. After fat extraction, determine the acid value of the extracted fat following our video entitled "Determination of Acid Value and Free Fatty Acid" (Check our video list to find the acid value)
      ****In this way, you can determine the acidity of extracted fat experiment for bakery product.

    • @MicroChemsExperiments
      @MicroChemsExperiments  Před 3 lety

      This method is developed following the AOAC method strictly. No change is done. So dont keep confusion about the method. And moisture content is different thing, why would I consider moisture in Ash testing?
      But if you want to test your sample on dry basis then remove the moisture content from the sample first. Then take sample for Acid Indoluble Ash test. But dont forget to mention in your report that you did the test on dry basis.
      Thank you.
