  • Welcome to this brand new episode of North Edinburgh Nightmares for 2022. Here we shall visit six terrifying tales from the Leith area of the city.
Hear the blood-curdling story of a New Years Eve in 1983 and the reason why the protagonist will not open curtains again.
Visit the site of the once Crawfords Biscuit Factory and discover its restless resident who has never clocked out for the day.
Listen to a tale of a Leith property and its ex-residents. Two families who did not welcome the attention of The Man Who Lives in the Cupboard.
These frightening tales and more await you in
    Something is Standing Behind You

Ok, so I won't be listening to this channel after dark or when my husband is gone from home. 😱

    Goosebumps!
Albert street is not so far away from here where i live. I get off the bus (7/14/49) after the next 2 stops at Tesco. So, my mind was running wild.
Only one episode left i didn't see.
    Thank you again!

Brings back memories of 80s/90s edinburgh Leith and Bonnington, all now changed. 👌

While filming at Bonnington I noticed how many buildings had gone. The Schooner Pub on Pitt Street has finally been demolished. Next door was the first recording studio I ever visited..

@@northedinburghnightmares7533 yep, most of the places in your videos have a connection for me, growing up in those areas. That iceland was my first ever job interview...was scary indeed!

Another brilliant video, we need to get you more recognition for your work! Thanks for bringing us this content :)
Edit: I wish the demolition of a lot of these historic buildings we have/had in Edinburgh would stop. Restore don't demolish, don't turn into flats tho. What they are doing to the old railway station building next to Morrisons at Granton is so sad. That's the last thing remaining along there now from when I was a wee girl.

@@northedinburghnightmares7533 It is an excellent vid. I'm going to send this one to my Dad, he was brought up in/around these areas in the 60's/70's. You have a great talent for story telling. I've retweeted this vid on my Twitter too (I'm scaredweeds lol)

20:35 There wouldn't have been any trace of old railway lines dating back to the 1700's(18th Century). The earliest railways date to the 1830s or so in Britain.
