I've just came across this video. And I have cold shivers all over. 19 years ago I was working on a renovation job at Wardle Square at the foot of the steps. One day I decided to go up the steps. as I wanted some lunch. as I knew there there was shops nearby at the top of the steps. Halfway up the steps I saw a shape. Don't know what it was as it was faint. I froze for seconds. Then this fainted shape came towards me .and passed passed through me. I then ran down the steps and into the cottage I was working in. and told my colleagues what had happened!!! I never went up those steps whilst I worked in Wardle Square Square again!!!!

20:35 There wouldn't have been any trace of old railway lines dating back to the 1700's(18th Century). The earliest railways date to the 1830s or so in Britain.

Ahh, Deacon Brodie's Tavern, the first port of call if all goes well at the Sheriffs court! On another note my 8x great grandfather was a covenanter whom "Bluidy McKenzie" actually wrote about and how the family name changed from Muirhead to Stark. Anyway, he fled Scotland to New Hampshire, USA where he resettled and grew his family. His Grandson John Stark became a brigadier general and was known as the "hero of Bennington" (Virginia) during the American revolution, where a statue of him stands to this day.

There is only 3 registered deaths in Scotland with the name Hector Ramsay, The first one was in 1905 in Brechin aged 5. The second was 1941 in Shettleston aged 77 and thirdly 1985 in Paisley aged 74. So I think somebody is telling porkies here.

Went there several times.Food great, staff nice apart from one rude young besom behind the bar downstairs. We should have reported her as she was a surly dour presence and put us off returning.
