- I’ve been looking into Onyx Boox Tab Mini C for some time, not sure I was going to like it as I was really disappointed with Onyx Boox Nova Air C, but after using Boox Palma with GPU and loving it, I finally decided to order Boox Tab Mini C.

Thanks. Just sold my Ultra C, and after watching a couple videos of yours, I am leaning towards Palma now. How programmable is the button - can you assign keystroke combos by chance? Thanks.
You can only assign buttons and gestures on device itself swiping from sides and bottom, that’s basically it, but you have lots of options for those gestures.
Just remember, the Palma, while it can do a lot, does not have that Wacom layer and thus no pen input.
My Boox Leaf 1 seems quicker than your Leaf 2?
I’m thinking of getting the palma as replacement for my Leaf. As I love that it has a sd card slot.
Yea that Leaf 2 is slow, but clarity is amazing. Definitely perfect just for reading, anything else it’s a snoozer.

I don’t think so, not something Boox known for, it will stay as whatever you bought your device with.
Thanks for this review, very useful. Is It possibile watching a movie on Tab Mini C? Do apps like Prime Video, Netflix or Google Tv work on Tab Mini C?
They work but it’s not something that’s enjoyable in my opinion.

Hi, when i turn the brightness to high, i can see at the top of the screen, that there are multiple black smudges. Is it supposed to be like that, or i got a failure unit?
Lots of people reported that, it’s normal, it’s how lighting works in this device.
Great review! Question: Does this offer "Dark View?"
No dark mode in operating system, but if a specific app has that feature then yes you can.
If the battery getting broken. Does any seller sell the battery?
My guess would be no. You’d have to reach manufacturer directly.

Very different devices, kindle is only for reading while Mini C is capable of a lot more. It is basically an Android tablet with color e-ink display and Wacom layer for pen.
So for the conclusion is the tab mini c good?
Depends on your need, for that size and what it offers, I think it’s the best, but I use Boox Palma the most for reading, as far as total package I turn to Mini C in event when I need to use the pen.
