      @williamcarr1770 Před rokem

      Except the whole story about force feeding Grant Hill doesn't appear to be true, unless he's misremembering some details. Hill had a few seasons where he scored around 15ppg, so I thought at first he might be talking about 05-06 season where he ended at 15.1ppg -- but Hill missed the last 20+ games of the season, and didn't take many shots in his last game that season either. I checked the other seasons where he was close to 15ppg, and none of them feature Grant taking a lot of shots in his last game of the season (or 2nd to last game either). The only season that I could find that even remotely seemed like the scenario he was talking about was in 08-09 in Phoenix, where Grant finished the season with 12ppg, and in the last game of the season shot 7/25. So maybe it was a 12ppg incentive clause? That seems a bit weird, but maybe I guess.

  • @jameswarner300
    @jameswarner300 Před rokem +2

    Message board, remember Antonio Brown? He went through the exact same thing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady wouldn't throw him the ball as he only need a few yards to reach his incentive. He knew exactly what was going on and went nuts on the sideline. People were so caught up in his antics, they didn't even listen to the contents of what he said.

    Interesting to see what 2 or 3 NBA contracts with incentives in the same team looking like, affevting team basketball.
    I also wonder what the situation is like in the case for Russell Westbrook now that NBA players in general are doing this

    Giving players that's not worth it 100 mill dollars makes the game boring once they get the money they don't care anymore that's why I'm not so hyped about ja morant yes he playing out of his mind now but I want to see how he play when he gets his bag cause he going to get it and the bitches come and distractions I want to see how passionate about the game he is then

      Every players different, but you’re not lying. Look at Zion. Made more than 75 million BEFORE ever playing a game of basketball in the NBA. Now the kid just doesn’t care. It doesn’t matter if u don’t like the team that drafted you. You still go out there and give it 100 percent

    @jaekim7270 Před 2 lety

    I think there's no doubt that teams will do everything in their power to avoid paying incentives especially if they're not competing for anything meaningful, but I find the Buddy Hield situation hard to buy. So you're telling me the Kings have enough sway with the NBA that they have the power to influence the refs to call that 3 a 2 and also compromise the review process? Also, the NBA is willing to compromise the integrity of their games all so that they can get the Kings to pay out several million dollars to a player?
