Unfortunately, we don't know what to expect out of our new coach and staff. Discipline has been restored to the locker room. The new offensive coordinator will be the key. Should be a great game, for both teams. Ready for football!! GigEm!
TX fan here. Think y'all actually hit a HR on a coach for once. That guy made Duke a legit team. With the talent aTm has, there's no excuse this season. Still going to lose to TX though.
Get ready to see a tougher A&M locker room. Tommy Moffit got these guys big in the past few months.
What a surprise, Michigan fan picks A&M, didn't see that coming! LOL
It’s all on Notre Dame’s O line. If they can block for Leonard and more importantly their stud RBs then it’s over for A&M
ND may have some green OTs, but they will get their baptism by fire by having to practice against ND's defense. Nothing TAMU does should surprise them.
A&M edge combo might be the best in the country. Just saying that because nd will not have send a dline like scourton and the shemars
@@pleasenobotsjd1744 And TAMU won't see a secondary like ND's.
@@pleasenobotsjd1744 howard cross, rj oben, and rylee mills are plenty good enough lol
@@ItsMindx yea but it doesn’t simulate the shemars and nic scourton
Very good point! The best defence ND will see in the first 12 games will be the D they practice against every day.
I don't think either QB will be asked to do a designed run week 1. Both are returning from injury and it's too risky against those d lines
A&M has a new coach and most of that disaster of a #1 recruiting class is no longer on campus. ND has the edge in Elko’s first game.
I think there's one real big question here. I expect Elko and Bateman to get the defense where it needs to be. Durkin was content to run a 3-3-5 defense which wasn't working. Elko will get the defense into multiple looks and exotic blitzes. The defense should be fine, we should be able to at least match up with the ND offense.
The real big question that everything hinges on is the A&M offensive line. Addazio didn't develop our offensive line at all. Our juniors were basically out there playing like freshman. He's been replaced with Adam Cushing, who Elko brought over from Duke. Considering how good Duke's offensive line was, if Cushing can get the same kind of results from a teamwork perspective, our offensive line should absolutely take off.
I think, if the offensive line looks good and Klein can bring some interesting looks to the team offensively, the game will be close. If the offensive line looks like tissue paper, it's going to be a long season for A&M.
Could not agree more with this. Cushing is a MASSIVE upgrade from Addazio and if that offensive line take a step I think this Aggie team will really dangerous.
Watch Jeremiah Love to be that new feature back for ND. Christian Grey is going to get some looks as they throw away from Morrison - if he has a big game it’s a good indicator for the W. No idea how this game will go though 😅
Everyone Harps on the 2 Oline plays gone, but ND is O-Line and Tight End U, we've had no problems with the next man in. And with Sam Hartman last year. Freeman absolutely screwed up with th OC hire last year. It was horrible. Luckily this year we have an upgrade. Defense is Solid. I do agree Kyle field by itself is a weapon. This is the only game that worries me. But I think we pull it out. Now Texas A&M hit a home run with the Elko hire. I've always liked him since he was here at Notre Dame. Great guy, Great motivator. The future is bright for TAM. Just not game one. Go Irish
You can't blame Freeman for the OC hire. He wanted Ludwig, but was forced to hire Parker.
What’s ironic is that if this game was in South Bend I don’t believe BSPN College Gameday shows up. When was the last time Gameday was at College Station? Anytime the last decade? The Johnny Manziel years?
Kiser is 6th yr Sr. He'll hav young, long, fast, & big LB's in position too make big plays..
Agreed. Love how that LB room looks like. Kiser with big time experience with a lot of young talent that will be playing with him.
Both teams have some stout NFL talent. aTm has some studs. ND has mojo for the first time in ... decades.
12th man ... Gig 'Em ...
Luck of the Irish.
ND 23
aTm 21
The heat will be a factor
A&M is talented DLine. But not deep.. ND Oline is young but verrr talented.. 6'6"325 is Ave.. by 4th qtr..big uglies will be worn down & tryin to tackle J Love & JD price will be too much
Loved the '12th man's pick. Great job, guys. Really interesting.
Kyle Field will be rabid - I also think the structure, culture and discipline Elko has instilled this off season will be very apparent - Ags by 7
Notre Dame does not fare well when they travel to the SEC.
@@mglaid1989 It is gonna be a hot one - not sure how the boys from southbend are going to handle it
@@mglaid1989 Until the Aggies actually start producing in the SEC, shut up about them being in the SEC. Aside from Johnny Manziel they've been without being disrespecting the Aggies, but at the same time the Aggies have been Big12 rejects. They had no business joining the SEC. When you only average 4 wins a year in SEC play, you do not have the right to talk about being an SEC school. Also, when you don't win consistently at home, you do not have the right to brag about your crowd being loud. I respect the Aggie fans showing out, but who cares how loud your crowd is, did you win the game? OSU is scarier, Penn State is scarier, Clemson is scarier, and Michigan is scarier. Why are they scarier? Because not only are their fans loud, their teams actually WIN. You must actually win consistently at home to brag about the crowd being loud. You can't half ass it and claim the fame of being loud. If Notre Dame stadium was like Kyle Field where the crowd is loud, but the team isn't I wouldn't brag about it. The wins is what makes you scary at home. I mean no disrespect to the Aggies, but I get so annoyed when people talk about them being an SEC school when they don't even produce anything in the SEC. They also don't have the offense to beat Notre Dame. I think Notre Dame gets the close win. Anyone can handle hot weather as long as they're not turning the ball over. Try coming to South Bend in late November, and you can talk weather.
@@DCSk8er529 I only read through a few lines of your response and then called it a day. If it helps I’m not an Aggie fan.
@@mglaid1989 It's fine if your opinion is different. I have no issues with Aggie fans, I respect them for showing out even if their team doesn't show up consistently. Not many fans have that to hang their hats on. I'm just saying, I wouldn't call them an SEC school when they never produce in the SEC other than Johnny Manziel and that Covid season.
It’s gonna be a close game but ND will win, and then A&M will lose a slew of other games and everyone will question how good ND actually is as usual.
Yup I agree
I like Elko!! He'll have em ready to play but it's gonna take a yr or 2 before there in upper echelon of SEC or nationally..
I have ND in a close one
As far as A&M offense... ND Defense is Top 3 & 2 -3 deep on spots.. A&M will be lucky to score 13-14 pts.. Game 1 yr 1..v yr 3 & Goldens 3rd yr defense.. ND 31-13..
I think Notre Dame wins the game!!
Love you Boys! ROCK on and Gig’em!
35-28 Ags will prevail in this game
Your high that score is insane 34-10 ND
@@mikesheridan476 Noteven bud your offense sucks our defense is top 5 the crowd at kyle will be a factor 11000 compare to 70 ,000 at south bend GAME DAY THERE SO PUT DOWN THE BONG IF YOU THINK ND WILL PREVAIL IN AGGIELAND,
@@mikesheridan476 I think it will be a tight game, and ND might win, but by 24 points??? LOLOLOL
Texas A&M ranks #1 in the SEC in returning production; #4 nationally for portal transfer rankings; On3, ESPN and Late Kick all ranked A&M as a Top 10 roster; they have the deepest backfield in the SEC with 3 returning players who have started, and each could start for most Power 4 teams; according to Vegas Weigman has 8th best odds to win the Heisman, as he has 16 TDs vs 2 INT's before getting injured. The A&M DLine was #1 in the SEC in sacks last year and added nearly 30 sacks through the portal this year. Our question marks are at corner, Oline and WR. I'm not saying A&M wins, but ND by 24 points...put that crack pipe down...LOLOLOL!
T A&M will have a struggle scoring on this top 5 Defensive unit with a top 3 backfield
@@kriscobb-xi1wqyou fudged the numbers there bud. ND has 80k, Tamu has 100k not 110k. ND also has a FARRRR better defense than Tamu. Were talking about the best passing defense in the nation. No way Tamu has a top 5 defense. That's delusional
Number 8# is a liability hope Heard plays deep besides Watts!!
We have the player's we, just don't play the right player's🤦
No problem on choices here ND wins big in Kyle Field 1-0 at games end TAMU 0-1.
Why?
Low scoring game. With what ND has returning on defense (#3 passing D in 2023) the Irish turn over A&M twice and get the dub.
34# OVERRATED KVA is better #25 & #4 are better than Drake😒 he can't get off blocks.. 44🤦 got stone walled by #85 a freshman😭
Lets go NotreDame HOOKEM
Big Question: will Riley Leonard even play? In March, he had a 2nd surgery to replace a plate in his ankle due to a developing stress fracture. Will be he ready for game 1; will he be mobile if he returns in time; can he plant and throw; can he move lateral or escape the pocket? If Leonard isn't 100% healthy, I think A&M wins; If he doesn't play at all, A&M wins by double digits. If he's 100%, it's a 50/50 toss up.
He is 💯 %. Minor surgery to repair a earlier surgical procedure.
He will be healthy and ready to go
From my experience as a skateboarder who chipped his ankle when he was almost 16, I learned the hard way about how an injured ankle can fool you. I was back on my board in 2 weeks, but when I tried kickflipping, I felt that similar burst of pain. He had a worse injury than I did. He should've let his ankle heal. Ankle injuries are very good at fooling you. He probably wouldn't be in the predicament he was in during the offseason if he let his ankle heal.
aggies by 14 easily especially at kyle field
Not against that Notre Dame defense. Notre Dame has a better chance to win by 14. Aggies don't have any proven players on offense to win.
Future BIG Ten 2026 members Norte Dame and Texas A&M BIG Ten commish said they will have a AAU School out of TexasAND A&M Fits the bill not TCU .there fan base needs to chill not happen for the Horn Frogs,
North Carolina and Duke are going to the B1G.
@@michaelfelli7661 NORTH Carolina and virginia going to the Sec. really good chance that A&M and NORTE DAME goes with us they want to get in Texas since they got into Cali,Texas makes since then cali
@kriscobb-xi1wq
You don't understand North Carolina politics. UNC and NC State are joined at the hip. When the ACC implodes (which it will), both schools need a chair when the music stops.
Presidents are "Forward Looking." Who are you going to be sleeping with 25 years from now. UNC and DUKE are going to the B1G. It's done. Believe me. NC State is going to the SEC, along with FSU, Clemson and VT.
UVA and Miami to the B1G.
HOOKEM BABY
@@soon2bsaint680 y'all are taking a step back this year. You had one good season with Sark, a mid coach. They beat the worst start for a Saban Bama team since he first got to Bama, struggled with some teams behind in rankings, lost to Washington. Harder games this year, Ewers can only hit short range passes and has all new receivers.
