I spent many hours / days / weeks exploring such a Mercedes graveyard. It belonged to my mate - a Benz mechanic - and yielded up many parts for my collection of eight.

@@datsoon9236 The yard I referenced was in the hinterland hippy hills of Byron Bay / Shire, New South Wales, Australia.
It’s now defunct and cleared - since close to two years ago - it is no more. But many spare parts *did* find new homes and second lives.
There were dozens of each ’70s / ’80s / ’90s series, and a lot of MLs.
My W180 (ponton), 108s, 111 (Heckflosse / fintail), 112 coupé, 116s (including a *very rare* Crayford Estate - a bespoke conversion with celebrity provenance - but a different story), 123, 124, 126s incl an SEC, 140, 201s … were drip-fed parts from that overgrown paddock of humidity- and rust-related rot in Paradise and kept running for years on relative rag fumes.
One always made sure to be wearing serious boots, gaiters, gloves, and gauntlets when scavenging parts. It wasn’t unknown for surprises to appear in the form of large snakes keeping cosy in engine bays, boots (trunks), and even cabins.
I did once concede primacy to a large, frightened, defensive, and territorial python in my attempt to detach a K-Jet fuel distributor. That job waited a week in the hope that Joe Blake would move on.
      Which it did. 🙂
Redback spiders were another hazard of exploring that yard - but we Aussies grew up with those, too - easy peasy.

So.. can you buy these? A lot of them seem to be fixable, otherwise a goldmine of parts

Some of the ones in the back are for sale from my understanding.
Certainly would be amazing projects or parts cars
