I know Nick is locked tf in to the playthrough because my ass has been in the KF chat for YEARS as 'OMGLX' with Nick calling me out (both nicely and combatively) and I submitted the name 'I

I think for this playthrough Nick's best bet on an electric type is Raichu. Level pikachu up to level 26 to learn thunderbolt, then evolve them to Raichu. Jolteon has slightly better stats, but has a pretty garbage set of moves. You have to invest a bunch in TMs to make his move set good. This frees up Eevee to evolve into Vaporeon. Vaporeon is an absolute tank with tons of HP. They also have access to Ice type moves which destroy dragon type pokemon.

2:03:49 @Kevin unfortunately the damage calcs. in Pokémon aren’t that straightforward.
Too late now but don't tailor your pokemon lineup for a gym until you are in the town going directly to the gym. Tailoring your lineup will always leave you weak towards certain types and you don't know what a random trainer will have on them outside a gym.
Also after you are done with a gym make sure you change your lineup back to something more well rounded.
Kevdog adds so much to these streams but looking things up should be kept to a minimum. Great streams, loving this saga!

How do they keep forgetting Pokémon types and their weaknesses. Fought a Machop, then fight another one right away and immediately forget it’s a fighting type. This series is gonna kill me, because I have to see it through.
One of the problems is that they're understandably following twitch chat, but chat gives a bunch of conflicting information. Or chat will be giving them info from later generations that doesn't work for this game. So, Nick ends up second guessing himself with types.
