Hey thanks!!! Trying to make this info more available to others who want to get into board building!

Is the leash plug bit different from the other 2 bits? Wondering if you could use a fin box bit for the leash plug.

Ya, it’s actually a totally different bit designed to perfectly cut the leash plug, different dimensions than the fin boxes. If your handy you could use just a normal 1/4th inch router bit and make a jig to cut out the fin boxes and the leash plug, just would have to make a jig to cut the shallow flange and then a jug to cut the deeper seating box, a lot cheaper than buying futures kits, would be fine if your just doing a couple of boards a year. But if your doing very many it is way more convenient and they come out a lot cleaner with the futures one pass. Hope this helps!

@@RockandSeaGarageBoardShop Figures. It’s shallower too. I’m a cabinet maker so I will probably make a jig. Thanks!

Oh well shoot super easy for you then🫡, your probably a master of wood craft! Board building is pretty fun and interestingly it really is sort of a oddball cousin to wood working, so many of the same tools, just with foam

I really like the low rocker on that board. I am going to try making a 5'9" as well and was wondering if you could let me know how much entry rocker your board has (ballpark if you dont want to give away your magic) 🙂
