Thinking out loud/Lets get it on shot in one take and beautiful
Listen to Helplessly Hoping....pure voices. Absolutely nothing else. It's different. It's their shortest song...definitely leaves you with I want more.
A tip : you can watch movies on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Lian Ellis Yea, been using Flixzone for since november myself :D
@Lian Ellis definitely, have been using Flixzone for years myself =)
I'm glad you are a home fry, too. They are wonderful.
great reaction Dani! Home Free got together with Peter Hollens to cover U2's "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." Would love to see your reaction to it.
You should react to their cover of American Pie!! They all take a lead!!
Great suggestion it was a perfect calibration for the 50th anniversary of sutch a iconic classic.
This song has always been one of my favorites.
Iconic song done very well. I know many look at them as country but my favorites of theirs are bluesy/soul type songs. This, When a man loves a woman and Blue ain't your color. Great reaction.(and yes Keith Urban..I know.. but it is country/blues to me)
Home Free does a great cover of "American Pie' accompanied by Don McLean.
Great reaction for this amazing song.
Thank you for doing this one. They are all GREAT
Very nice reaction! You should listen to their cover of "Can't Stop The Feeling". It's an upgrade of the Justin Timberlake original version. IMO ... Guy
Dani, here are some HF suggestions for you: For pure A capella with no beatboxing they have three songs, How Great Thou Art, Auld Lang Syne, and Helplessly Hoping. These demonstrate their precision and harmonies, and their intricate arrangements. Some of their best arrangements are Man of Constant Sorrow, Do You Hear What I Hear, and a mashup of Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On all done in a single shot, and for just good fun entertainment, Can't Stop The Feeling, Hillbilly Bone, The Butts Remix, Try Everything, Mayday, and Champagne Taste On a Beer Budget. For just great love songs, Die A Happy Man, Blue Ain't Your Color, Meet In the Middle, Cover Me Up. Just take your time because they have very huge catalog of work, and welcome Home Fry.
wow...did leave out anything LOL (yeah I know you did but still what a list Tom)
HOME FREE never disappoints
I love this group of handsome talented men!!!! Please more Home Free!
Just to let you know more about Home Free, you have a large catalogue to choose from, I believe it's up over 130 covers and original songs, so you will be busy. They are called a Country and Western acapella group, but they cover most genre of music. They have an incredible basso profundo (Tim), an unbelievable beat boxer (Adam), outstanding classically trained high tenor (Austin), fabulous tenor (Rob), and a marvelous baritone (Chance), all rolled up into a great group. Happy trails. âïžđ
Hey Dani !!! This is a really good one !!! Love the original and then Home Free puts their own spin on it !! Austin the 2nd lead just dropped his solo version of Etta James classic 1959 hit "At Last" that many folks use as their 1st dance song at their receiptions...it's SPECTACULAR !!! As for Home Free *PLEASE* react soon to their original song "When you walk in"...they dancing by one of the stars from "Dancing with the stars" along with Austin's own written song...it's MAGIC....
This is so good isnât it? When they won the Sing Off Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they wanted to do right by him and I think they did. Rob was incredible and the harmonies are hard to beat. Loved your reaction and I subscribed. Try Helplessly Hoping - itâs amazing.
Their cover of "How Great Thou Art" is absolutely stunning! For a vocal AND visual treat you have to react to this one! It's THE one!!!
Just the best..
I am partial to "In the Blood', "My church", "How great thou art" and if you haven't reacted to them "American Pie" with Don McLean and "I still haven't found what I'm looking for", with Peter Hollens.
These young men are amazing. Pretty new listener and it's all good.
Listen to Cam cover of Mayday.. Or Man of Constant sorrow.
Please consider reacting to Home Free renditions of "Go Rest on that Mountain" and "How Great Thou Art". Thinking you'll probably appreciate it very much... Love your analyses and reactions.
Hello dani, awesome reaction video of home free end of the road yes the guys out did themselves once again. Did your gift arrived at the post office I hope so. Please let us know you did and you enjoyed what we got you ok Bob and Teena steinmiller.
Thanks for the reaction Dani .......
Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges when they were competing on The Sing-Off. If you haven't heard their performances from that show, you should consider reacting to the videos that include the judges' comments. That was when a lot of us first heard them.
Dani is definitely a home fryđłđđđ. Lol love ya Dani. Great.
Welcome to the family - it only takes a couple of songs to get stuck... Enjoy your trip down this rabbit hole :))
Rob knocks this one out of the park.
Highly recommend "Blue Ain't Your Color" or "In The Blood".
Great review! You will soon be inundated with multiple suggestions as to what could be your next reaction Ms. Dani. There catalogue is quite extensive so what to choose next can be overwhelming. One of their most fun videos is "The Butts - Remix"; for serious is their cover of "How Great Thou Art or "Auld Lang Syne". Perhaps your best bet would be to peruse their catalogue for something that piques your interest. BTW - welcome to Frydom.
Have been away. Nice to see you Ms. Atkinson. Wonderful reaction to this video - which I love.
Great reaction to a phenomenal performance. There are so many I could recommend, but one of my personal favorites is their cover of âIn The Bloodâ. You canât go wrong if you go to their website and pick any cover you like, or one of their originals. Also Austin Brown has started his own website and churning out lots of content, but donât worry he has no intention of leaving Home Free.
I love what Home Free can brings out of you.
My sister and I are planning to see Home Free in October. So excited!
Oh awesome, are they touring??
@@DaniAtkinson Yes...They were here in Chattanooga a few weeks ago but didn't know about it in time to get tickets. They're going to be in Nashville at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. TBH, I'm not 100% positive if it's the whole group or just Tim and Austin. I'd be happy either way.
Hi Dani! Love your reactions. You rightly pointed out that Home Free frequently changes up their lead. There is a little history behind that. Home Free's musical predecessors are the Oak Ridge Boys. The Oaks have a 40+ year history as a gospel/country quartet. They hit it big commercially in the late 70's thru the mid 80s. Around about 85/86 they went thru a dark period where lawyers actually got involved as to who would sing lead for how many songs per album. Eventually, they reconciled, realized how good they had it, and kept on performing and recording to this day.
Home Free, during the early part of their career, opened for the Oaks. During that time, the Oaks mentored them and gave them a master class on the music industry, all of the highs and pitfalls included.
Home Free holds them in such high regard that they have performed and recorded two collaborations with the Oaks. They did a cover of "Elvira" with them a few years ago, and just this past Christmas, Home Free, the Oak Ridge Boys, and Jeff East, released "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem".
I would highly recommend reacting to "Elvira" by Home Free, featuring the Oak Ridge Boys. I think you'll really enjoy that one.
please please react to their cover/mashup Thinking out loud/lets get it on, and welcome to the Homefries
Great reaction, Dani! Love your work.
I think you should hear Home Free and Kenny Rogers and children go where I send thee is before they changed one of the singers but it's very good
Their rendition of Mayday is awesome.
They can all beat box as well. They are at the top of their game. Thanks for the reaction
Should check their ring of fire rendition also featuring pentatonics
AVI CAPLIN SINGING WITH THEM there's video cover and also the live version without avi on' Sing off '
Boyz to men song? OMG
PLEASE listen to Helplessly Hoping next!
Love it!
Great reaction! I love Home Free they are definitely in my top 5 all time favâs. But I got to give Boys to Men their props as well. Home Free came up in a digital world where you can fine tune your skills with a click of a mouse. It wasnât quite so easy in the eighties and early nineties. Technology plays a huge role in the production of music. Iâve played guitar since 1975. My progress was really slow until the internet came about and then I got a huge boost. So now that Iâve dated myself âLove Trainâ is a super cool cover by home free and itâs a message the whole world needs to hear right now. Thanks!
Please react to Tim Faust singing "Stay"from Home Free.
My favorite is one that almost never gets suggested. Please listen to âI Canât Outrun Youâ.
Is t the Home Free rabbit hole fun ??? đđâŒïž. Theyâre just AWESOME !!!
Thanks for a wonderful reaction !!! So great to hear some one new to this fabulous group appreciate their music so much. They released a cover of Percy Sledge "When A Man Loves a Woman" recently, would love to see your reaction !!!! They have such a huge catalogue of songs and something for everyone !!
Just for fun and a great time you should react to there cover of hillbilly bone.
Check out Home Free's cover of *Bring Him Home* from Les Mis! Please. With sugar on top.
You just donât want them to stop singing! đ
My two favorite are "Man of constant sorrow" and "Folsom Prison Blues". I use favorite lightly as I haven't found anything that I dislike from them yet. Enjoy you trip down this rabbit hole.
You should check out Tim Foust's mash-up cover of "Will You Still Love Me/Stay"...It's mind-blowing...
Try Thinking Out Loud, When You Walked in, 19 You and Me and Love Train by Home Free â€
This is an excellent remake of the Boyz II Men original song. If you haven't heard that one you should give it a try. Oh, apparently you heard the Boyz II Men version. I love both but I like the power of Boyz II Men.
If you want to hear the forth vocalist take the lead listen to Some Girls Do.
Welcome to the Home Fries family. A few suggestions, Tale Me Home Country Roads, Helplessly Hoping, and My Church. No matter which song you choose, you simply can't go wrong, with Home Free.
If you want one of their original songs try "Champagne taste on a beer budget". It was written by Tim Foust (the one who sang bass in this cover)
There are lots and lots of wonderful HF performances...and I encourage you to enjoy them all. Two suggestions:
1. Save "Mayday" until you have watched at least 6 of their "regular" videos. It's a great performance, but you can't get full enjoyment out of it until you're familiar with all of the guys and their voices.
2. Adam Rupp swallowed a drum kit at some point in his life. You hear his percussion in all of HF's videos, but at their live shows, he does a "drum solo" that gives you full-strength beat boxing excellence and helps you appreciate his amazing talent. One of those solos is here: czcams.com/video/EanKWLUaDpg/video.html
You need to do Home Tree's In the Blood and Seven Bridges Road
Oh I wish you could lend an ear to home free teaming with peter hollins and their take of u2 still can't find what I'm looking for ... ear candy it is. Please.. I'm patient. Someday soon
I think you would like their cover of Blue Ain't Your Color
You need to listen to Austin's Etta James rendition.
Please react to "American Pie, featuring Don McClean," "How Great Thou Art," or "Take Me Home, Country Roads"
Hope you can react to there song "can't outurn you" adam chance shows his vocal skills on this one and i think you will love, thanks
Great reaction. Love your heart felt reactions and analysis of this sensational group. :) Please react to the unique voice of Melody Cristea of Liliac (Lil-EEE-ack) - just released video cover of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself For Loving You" or original song written and produced by the family "Mars"
I enjoyed their cover very much, thank you. Please react to Dimash singing Hello, SOS, Love is Like a Dream, Adagio, Sinful Passion & so many other of his amazing songs on his official CZcams channel. He is incredible. đ€đâ€ïžđ„°đšđŠđšđŠđšđŠ
