Notably, Godzilla is usually portrayed as pretty neutral towards humans, and he's actually very intelligent so it's _theoretically_ possible to reason with him. Thing is, he doesn't really give a damn. He basically considers humans to be unimportant little bugs and if a major city happens to be in the way of whatever he's set out to do, tough luck, that's not his problem. Get out of the way or get stepped on.
doesnt really sound like legendary godzilla. There's a book that goes into detail about what he's thinking especially of humans. He doesnt view them as a threat and even acknowledges their generousity towards other titans like when he acknowledged the special den they were building for that mammoth like titan. Godzilla is just doing is job as the protector of earth and nature. He punishes titans as well as humans. He destroyed human submarines when they were a danger to the ocean and I think another titan. He also doesnt care TOO much about other titans. When he saw the mammoth one getting in a fight with another titan it didn't matter to him but he did recall that the mammoth titans shit was good for the forests so he decided to intervene and save him, putting the other titan in it's place and reminding it whose in charge, it knelt to him, submitting before leaving. The mammoth titan going into the home the humans built to heal.
So Godzilla just looks out for all life on Earth. He does sometimes let nature just run its course like when the other titans were fighting and would of left them alone if not for the importance of the mammoth titan. He only punished humans who deserve it cause they were harming the Earth but otherwise he doesn't have any kind of grudge against them.

Everyone wondering why Godzilla seems to be so focused on Superman, anyone forget that Godzilla was laser focused on Ghidoarh an Alien, Superman is an alien that holds large amounts of radiation, Godzilla probably sees him as a threat to his territory, not realizing that Godzilla is not on his earth anymore

The glowing blue when he first meets superman was likely an intimidation display and not a direct threat. Kind of a "stay out of my way", but ironically it's superman who doesn't understand godzilla and takes it as a threat and punches him starting the fight

I think it's so clever that they gave Batman the bat monster Camezots to deal with. Not only is it something he is equipped to fight, but he actually correctly identified it off the cuff as the Mayan bat god. Way to make him seem ridiculously brilliant.
It's funny to think that batman would technically also be afraid of it deep down cause it's a bat and his whole thing is he's batman cause he has a fear of bats 😂

Superman is useless and pathetic against Godzilla. ROFL! These supes fanboys trying hard to compensate. Batman's clever thinking is the only way to persuade Godzilla to leave. Godzilla isn't a normal giant walking lizard anymore with radioactive breathe. He's a living divine God due to Mothra's magical blessings with the fairies magical chantings in the Mothra Story arch. Hence why Godzilla never been officially killed but through only self-sacrifice against Destoroyah to save his son.

Pretty fitting, since Camazotz ("Death Bat") is the Mayan god of death, human sacrifice, and the underworld. In legends he is responsible for collecting sacrifices to the gods of the Mayan underworld (Xibalba). It is possible he has been harvesting human victims for hundreds or even thousands of years, tricking them into thinking he serves gods in Xibalba (which is actually the Hollow Earth) or perhaps serves an even greater power dwelling in the Hollow Earth.
I love it. Godzilla also gave the Avengers trouble back he crossed over into Marvel comics. He was giving Thor a run for his money, and now he's fighting Superman. Gotta love the respect for the big G when he crosses over.
Judging by the resslt of this issue, seems like DC needed Godzilla and agreed to somehow lose just to get paid.

From what i've seen, Goji didn't charge up his attack when they met. it was his intimation display, basically saying "Stand down, little bro...". we've watched this before in the GvK.

A possible reason why Godzilla just suddenly goes to Metropolis instead of just his usual roaming is that, he might detect and identify Superman as foreign (Since Superman is a kryptonian)

Well I mean… can we blame him?
So far in the Monsterverse there is only 1 confirmed alien monster, that being Ghidorah. And not only did Ghidorah have enough power to overthrow Godzilla, he had enough power to ravage all life on the planet. He only did so for a day but the time he took alpha and ordered all titans to rampage was catastrophic and millions of people died in his short reign. Godzilla maybe a genius but he’s just an animal at the end of the day. So of course when he detects an alien his first thought would be that one time that one alien arrived on his home world, nearly killed him a couple of times and murdered millions.
And superman is a river of energy, he literally absorbs radiation from the sun to power up.
Godzilla: What are you?
Superman: Floats around talking at Godzilla.
Godzilla: Does similar threat display to what he was doing with the underwater station in King of Mosnters.
Superman: Attacks Godzilla.
Godzilla: Ok, son. Let's get it on...

Rob should definitely get into more of the Godzilla/Gojira series. It gets fucking crazy. The fact that Godzilla can withstand megatons of Nukes, nearly any type of laser cant kill him, can swim at high speeds, has died and come back multiple times, can heal, gains energy off of radiation and pure energy like its a giant bottle of Gatorade, can live thousands of years and still be in peaked condition, has fought aliens, has been to literal hell and came back. Godzilla is a literal god at this point.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but there may be a way to easily stop the fight. Get Aquaman to speak with Godzilla. Aquaman can communicate with aquatic life and would be more than willing to stand as a mediator between Superman & Godzilla.
Well that be debatable with the ORCA from Monstervese and how quickly alpha Titans get mad when someone does not bow to them,
Godzilla's main reason for being is to keep the course of nature. He is natures go to when things get out of balance. The reason he picks a fight with Superman is because he recognises Superman as no belonging on earth and being over balanced. He is literally just doing his job on behalf of Earth, he just does not know it is a different Earth with its own set of balances into which Superman now fits.
Stop looking at legendarys version as the definitive one. That was just bs that Hollywood made up for him. Godzilla was never some heroic creature, he is supposed to be doomsday incarnate

@@heavy5013Well, that's just one of many versions of Superman. Some versions of him are powerful enough to hold an entire universe together. Others he is pretty much can be knocked out by bomb or a pill.
Either way, not every version of Superman is the same in personality and power. It just depends on how powerful the writers want Superman to be.

And never take time to comment on the sites, but i have to tell you that this episode is by far the most entertaining segment i have ever watched. So much so that I had to tell you how much i have enjoyed it. I have literally watched this episode at least 7 or 8 times. Lol. Keep up the good work. I find it interesting that Godzilla only seems interested in fighting Superman. Monsterverse Godzilla is usually benevolent. So maybe it has something to do with Superman having so much radiation in him.
It’d make more sense for a Toho Godzilla to be fighting Superman, given several of them are murderous and powerful enough to fight Superman. They’re using Monsterverse versions because that’s what WarnerBros has access to.

Godzilla attacked superman because he sees superman as a disruption to the natural order due to Clark being an alien.
He was mostly focusing on superman because he sees superman as the strongest unnatural being so he wants to kill the strongest ones first before taking on the others.
Once superman is out of the picture godzilla is going after the rest of league and any other unnatural being on dc earth.

The Spider = Scylla, one of the titans that woke after Ghidorah's call in KoTM. She was one of the smaller titans only having 10-20 seconds of screen time but she does fight Godzilla in Dominion.
The Mammoth = Behemoth, like Scylla he also awakened to Ghidorah's call and was featured in Dominion this guys was a absolute fan favorite due to being unique from the other Titans for being the only other Mammal kaiju other than Kong and Camazotz, he is Benevolent amd cares for the Amazon Rainforest after KoTM playing a role in restoring the ecosystem. Speaking of Camazotz we have...
The Bat = Camazotz, a Titan that only appeared in Kong's own comic "Kingdom Kong" this guy fought Kong after he escaped the hollow earth through a cave in Skull Island. He is weak to light (Was originally loud sounds but a commenter corrected me so thank you.) and can only fly during the night or in a storm, he also has tony bat minions as well might I add.
Also in 0:25 we obviously have Kong and a SkullCrawler, a pest on Skull Island known for almost wiping Kong's population and killed both his parents.
Camazotz also shows up in Monarch TV show

Superman is without a doubt the most inconsistent and retconned character of all time. One moment he gets BODIED by a city level threat and then the next he can leap across the universe when all the suns are pulled away from him through sheer willpower alone.
Ask Batman
Depending on the Godzilla he's pretty far from city level, there's a comic run where he went to multidimensional hell only to kill everything in it and walk his way to god, who he then killed and stole the throne from. Godzilla is as strong as the writers want him to be, same with Superman.

One more thing, I find it funny how people are saying "oh, if you think that Godzilla will beat superman then you haven't read the comics!" Well hold on there pal, number 1, Godzilla shot a beam to the MIDDLE OF THE EARTH, it only took him like 2 minutes too, and number 2, this frame kind of tells you the answer lol 10:34. Godzilla isn't trying to kill superman because hes bad, hes killing him because he sees superman as someone who disrupts the natural order because hes an alien. Godzilla's goal is to keep the world and natural order and in check, he also could have seen him like he saw Kong, as someone trying to be an alpha, Godzilla's goal is to be and stay the alpha, so he has his reasons. And don't forget also that with each incarnation of Godzilla he always gets stronger with each passing film, and the monsterverse still has a lot to be shown, so Godzilla will reach a level that people will explode with such power (so like the classics)

Just wanna point out all these monsters exist in the Monsterverse with some debuting in comics. The bat is Kamazotz which appeared in a Kong graphic novel. A lot of the others made appearances in KOTM

When Superman has withstood a blast equivalent to one million nukes, Godzilla would NOT knock him out.

In modern continuity, Superman could not care less about nukes.
Godzilla glowing would be as deadly to Superman as skin-dipping into the nearby star (biggest natural fusion reactor).
If anything, realistically, Superman should get stronger from radiation.
The only reason kryptonite affects him is because of a very very specific frequency of radiation (just like how Viltrumites like Omni-man are immune to sound weapons, except for a very specific one).
@@kingol4801 radiation canonically is a counter for superman, sure he can tank a nuke easily but he gets weak asf if that happens, even in a film that I don't recall the name from justice league he becomes a lot slimmer almost like a zombie, also is literally said in comic's that atomic radiation "rob" superman's powers for a period of time, so yeah I still believe that superman wouldn't fight godzilla in his thermonuclear form because he literally emanate atomic radiation form his body (if you don't believe me, please check out videos or even find the comic itself online)

Shazam's idea with using lightning against Godzilla might've backfired because in some incarnations while Godzilla can be hurt by man-made electricity he can absorb natural lightning to charge himself up. So they could've potentially fought a supercharged Godzilla.

I appreciate that Superman is canonically weak to radiation. See anytime Superman has to tank a nuclear bomb. He can do it but it drains him. So Godzilla's breath would absolutely wreck Superman not just because Godzilla himself is very powerful but also because Godzilla fires concentrated Superman debuff
Which is also likely why Godzilla is interested in Superman, he is a giant Neon Sign sayin FU with the amount of Solar Radiation he has stored, and we know how Godzilla feels about people being Giant Neon signs!

if this is the godzilla in the monsterverse, he can sense the power balance and he will know who is a threat to him. the fact that he looked directly at superman tells me godzilla knows he’s powerful and a threat to his position as king
I have been a godzilla fan for many years and I love the idea of him being stronger than the justice league. He is at his core a force of nature, lile a hurricane or an earthquake. Even when he is a "badguy" he is still there to remind humanity where they stand in the pecking order of the cosmos.

I feel like Godzilla knows Superman is a super powered alien or at least senses it, and we all know the last alien MV Goji had to deal with. Safe to assume Godzilla is only seeing Supes as a tiny human with King Ghidorah levels of threat or higher.
