to make a long story short. we wanted a Cal. King four poster bed frame and a sleep number mattress to go into the bed. We ordered the mattress in Dec 2017 and it was delivered and set up on the 22nd (the setup took less than 10min). we did not have the bed frame yet, we didn't find one we liked for a month or two and then it took a while to get it. We final had our new Cal. King four post bed delivered on April 8th 2018. We set the bed up and it looked great, we then tried to put the mattress on the bed, well it didn't fit. it was to wide and it was too short for the bed frame. We naturally thought it was the bed frame, well it wasn't, in December when we went to the Tysons Corner sleep number store in Virginia, requested if a Cal. King P6 mattress was an option, we were told yes so we paid for it then and there. The sales people were a little perplexed at the Cal. King requested but assured us that we could get it, it might just take a little longer. So instead of ordering a Cal. King they ordered just a King, and it is not obvious by all the order codes on the paperwork what we ordered so we didn't catch it. when the mattress was delivered and set up, there is no tag that says what size mattress you have, so we didn't catch it there either. we did catch it when we tried to put a King mattress on a Cal.King bed frame but customer service says its past the first 100 days so they will not fix the problem. We recommend anyone doing business with sleep number check what you order and have the sales person write specifically what you order in plain english on the order form, because they will sell you something in stock vs. what you want if they think you wont notice or don't know any better. One last though, My wife had issues with sales and customer service, she felt like they were treating her like she was dumb and didn't know anything, I also witness this when I talked to them. it might be isolated, but worth mentioning. our sleep number customer number is 1013881647

The black fabric is weak and can tear, the foam will go soft over time making it hard to sit on the edge. These problem can be easily fixed. After 30 years they do not seam to care.
Getting There Everything is replaceable in the bed . We will NEVER have to buy another bed . Sleep number has a 25 year limited warranty . Tell me where else offers that ? Twenty different sleep firmness levels - How is it POSSIBLE for anyone to COMPLAIN ?

I love my SN! It's a wonderful product! I have the most basic one; I put my own memory foam topper on top of my SN. I personally don't think there is a perfect mattress, but SN is the closest to be the best solution between all the mattresses I have tried before... Hope this helps...
Yes. Don't be nervous. We have no regrets whatsoever. We both sleep better than we ever have and being able to use sleepIQ to track our sleep has been extremely useful. It's a big purchase and the value of the bed is different for everyone out there. For us, we would have paid even more for this bed if it came down to it. I personally can't put a price on the quality of my sleep, something that has increased tremendously since purchasing this bed. I hope you agree when you get it and that you like it as much as we have.

ok lets start with the purchase of a 9,000 bed that supposed to have a 25 yr warranty. 1. if you are a cuddling couple, this split top bed with cause you a divorce, because there is always a 12" uncomfry gap between the 2 of you.. 2. when you call for support you will be on hold for 35-50 mins. then you will get a rude reply for every issue you have. we have owned the bed for 1 year. and I thought pillow tops companys were bad. Recomending not a good buy.
There is a 12 inch gap between your beds?! Our two mattresses have no gap...I literally have to force my arm between them to create a gap. Was it like that when you received it? It sounds like you received one that is defective. =(

Yes Jake insists on getting in frame in almost every shot! I've had to reshoot many times because he'll try and ask to be pet or ring the bell to go outside. With this video we just let him enjoy being the star :-)
I am getting rid of my Queen-sized Sleep Number bed after 5 years and I would never get another one again. The biggest issue is that if you and your partner each have a different setting, you can feel the separation and it's really annoying. Even if you have the same setting on each side, you can still feel a definite dip in the middle where the two inner air chambers meet. That feeling only got worse over time. If you like to spoon or have sex on your bed, then Sleep Number is not the bed for you. Moving the bed and adjustable base from one home to another was also a huge hassle because you have to disassemble it. Finally, the bed and components are extremely overpriced. The bed supposedly comes with a 10-year warranty, but when I disassembled the bed to move it (to give it away), I discovered that the inner foam layer was worn and torn, in the middle where the separation is and along the sides. I saw no reason why this piece should have been so damaged after so little time unless it was of poor quality, since it is inside and does not come in contact with your body at all. I called to get a replacement and was told that the cost to replace the flimsy 2-inch layer of foam is over $300, but under "warranty", they would cover 56% of the cost, leaving me still to pay about $150. I declined. I found the same type of foam padding online for as little as around $30 to $40. What a scam! I'm done with Sleep Number. You've been warned.
That was my fear at first, that it would be very noticeable. It's not a problem at all because the two mattresses can be pressed together extremely tightly and don't move apart. It's pretty much seamless.
We just got a queen size C 2 / really an entry level bed . It is FANTASTIC ! Anyone and I mean ANYONE who can not find their comfort level from 20 different settings - something has to be wrong with them . These beds are a definite WINNER - TRUTHFULLY .

From day one the bed controls stopped working so had to wait several weeks for them to come back with replacement parts to get it working. Twice! The bed is extremely uncomfortable and not the same as shown in stores. The way the air part fills and deflates causes the bed to bow in the middle which curves your spine. No matter the sleep number level used. The beds over priced trash.

Is the chasm in the middle annoying? Seems like it would make sex/cuddling more difficult.

We owned a C3 and had it 4 almost 10 yrs and I cant complain. Its worth every penny.

The two beds are super close together so no room to fall into the crease. Cuddling is still possible. ;)
