  • Having owned the Sleep Number P5 (Performance Series) bed for 8 years, I'll give you a review of the pros and cons. I'm a back and side sleeper. Side sleepers would like to not set the sleep number that high as I learned.
This bed may be great for stomach sleepers.
First, during the time I purchased this bed, this bed was well regarded as something newer compared to the coil beds out in the marketplace. It was advertised to help with pressure points and can adjust from a soft mattress to a firmer one with just a click on the remote.
In the video, I'll show the key features of the bed and the pros vs cons of the bed. Comparing to coil spring beds, this one is definitely more comfortable.
These beds are only available to purchase from the sleep number store as I know.
Please help like this video so others can see this video and leave a comment if it helps others.
    Thank You.

I have a p5 and it’s nothing like this. I purchased in 2019 and I love it. I had really bad back pain. The first day I slept on it, I saw results!

We have this bed too. We bought on Amazon a memory foam 3 inch pad and put it inside the mattress on top of this other one ..... So much better. And adjust the firmness or softer while you are in bed ( better results)

Thanks for the review mate!! I have a herniated disc in the L4/L5 area and my weight is only 150... I 'm getting ready to buy SLEEP NUMBER 360® p5 SMART BED without the recliner part.

I had this one (Sleep Number P5) and spend lots of money on it but should have never purchased due to lower back and neck shoulder problems. I now have a firmer latex bed. Avocado and love it after the first 30 days. czcams.com/video/TR0jOlbTTHY/video.html

I paid $7,000 for a Sleep Number bed. After ONLY 3 years use (still paying on the bed), the compressor quit functioning. Now, with the bed YET paid for entirely, I am being charged ONLY $200 for a new compressor (add $!00 for installment). I am told that the cost would have been much more had the compressor been older than 3-years old.

I hear you. My compressor is okay on mines but the top pad is sagging. $$$$ also to replace.

Late to this but we purchased a p5 several days ago and have had nothing but issues with it…the app is wonky, It feels like we’re sleeping on a camping air mattress, the air chambers bulge, you can hear the compressor kick on and off overnight, customer service is non-existent, so we’re sending it back Monday…

It’s not for everyone. Return it if not right.

Yeah, I don't see a problem. Bedroom can be purchased at any store btw, $50 or so in the past.

Sounds like a glorified air mattress, with a little foam on the top, just got one for $80

this looks nothing like the p5 or p6 beds i just looked at in the store this looks like a much older model. think of it as a smart air bed that adjust as you move and sleep... still and air bed but decent enough.

I know this comment is 4 years old but I just got a P5 for free and I am researching it. I will say that it is a lot more than just a "glorified air mattress".
If this bed is what you're using for camping, then you must be scrooge mcducking pools of money. With that said, I would definitely not spend even a thousand, let alone the 2-6 thousand some spend on these beds brand new. For that kind of money a Sterns and Foster, Tempur Pedic, and Chattam and Wells are all WAAAAYYYYYY better investments for your sleep.
Hell for 2500 bucks you can get a Sealy Highpoint Hybrid mattress that offers a Max Cold Cover and the best of both worlds since it utilizes a foam layer on top for pressure relief and individually wrapped coils underneath for a great support system.
