I'm using Redmi Note 9S for 2 years. When it launched, people was thinking the same that how much specs can Xiaomi put in this smartphone under 250 dollars.
It has been a great smartphone for me.
It launched with Android 10 and it's running on Android 12 and also in testing for Android 13 in China.
I'm also using a Redmi note 9s and it has been fantastic so far for my 2 years of ownership

I also have it but I can't say I'm happy with it from the software side. Yes the hardware is insanely powerful and surprisingly affordable, (I got it for less than 200$) but the Xiaomi has filled their phones to the brim with bloatware and annoying limitations such as being unable to disable system apps, only launching mi video from the file manager and not play the video straight away like it used to. The phone needed a factory reset at about 1,5 years of ownership since it became unusable but that's probably because I have developer options on and side-load my own apps and I haven't seen anyone else complain about the same thing
The amount of energy and effort Arun put in his videos is Mi-nd blowing.

Thanks for pointing out the business model strategy at the end. Xiaomi isn't an altruistic company. No company is. They just have a different business model. They sell you feature packed devices for cheap to get you in then flip you for more expensive stuff. They use the "Freemium" strategy in not making any money initially but profiting down the line.
Would also love to know the temperature the device is in while it's charging at that speed.
This 210Watt charging is really impressive, I just wonder how warm it gets and how long that battery will survive charging so fast?
You don't have to use it every day. I would have this charger with me in my bag for emergency. Extremely useful in a trip - just pop into some pub and ask to charge your phone for 10 minutes and you are good to go
Surprisingly it doesn't get too warm because the charging slows down in the last 10% or so
it's a gimmick that will last maybe half a year of continuous use before the battery turns to sht and a year of continuous use would make the phone unusable

@@bradleyklein7711 you can use it as a universal remote for your aircon, tv, fan, set-top box, projector, dvd, etc.
@@markevinlagsac3252 too much of a hassle. You have to turn on the phone, go to the IR app, look at the TV, search for the brand of TV in the app, search for the right TV model, then set it up and half the time you can't do much more than changing the channel and volume. And that's just one device.
Or you could stand up, grab the remote and press the button. Don't be lazy.
@@g43654 First, you can have a shortcut of mi remote in home screen. It's a one time setup for each device, don't be lazy. Further, you always carry your phone, so having this feature is convenient. You can always use the dedicated remote but do you always carry your remote. If you lost your remote, you can easily get your phone as a substitute remote.
@@markevinlagsac3252 it may be useful to you but a total gimmick for me. Firstly, I control everything in my house with Google Home app and devices, I don't necessarily need to stand and point at things anymore, I can turn on my aircon from a location half way across the world if I wanted to. Secondly, the range of these IR blasters is abysmal, you must stand so close to the device to do anything, you might as well just grab the remote on the table, it's faster. Thirdly, I've never lost a remote in my life. And lastly, there's no reason why I need to manipulate a TV outside of my own home - it isn't mine to mess with. So yeah, do I miss an IR blaster? For those outside the US who wonder, Xiaomi's MIUI shares a lot of feature with Huawei's EMUI. I've seen quite a few mentions of people managing to get google services on Huawei phone, which you might want if software support is one of your main worries.
I have a p30 lite, which was a mid-range phone from 2019, and it's still getting software updates. Not just security and minor updates but also major updates. Over the time I owned the phone I got from EMUI 10 to EMUI 12. It wasn't after the rest of their models too, got the 12 before any mention of that version's release was done online, there were only mentions of that update being announced a few weeks back.
You constructed your comment in a way that could suggest that xiaomi miui do not have google services which is not true
Btw. You can get security updates, major updates for your android skin (I mean for example miui) and also major updates for android itself. So uou can get updates for android skin but not for android itself sometimes (but I don't know how does huawei makes it and.maybe they are more synhronized).
@@Daniel_VolumeDown What I said was that recent huawei phones do not come with google services. EMUI's major versions also do not follow android versions exactly. There are several variations of each EMUI version. They use a different android version as base. EMUI 12 for my phone is based on android 10, while for more recent phones, it can be a more recent one or harmony OS.
My theory is that most chinese brands are all under the wing of the same company, or rather under the same government. So many things seem to be shared between these devices. Poco, Xiaomi, Huawei, Oneplus, Oppo, may all be all the same... Another thing from China that also took over everything is, TikTok, which uses AI to completely rewire your brain. All these Chinese platforms and phone brands, are all built for one true purpose, to collect all the data of every citizen in this planet. There is a reason why the USA decided to ban Huawei, ZTE, Tiktok, and others. China, is slowly planning to take over the world, and they already have control over way too many things
This is why, i would never trust xiaomi or huawei or any of these chinese phones, even if they were given away for free, which they kinda are now
@@aquaponieee Depending on the company, over 50% of them are under the Chinese government, so yes it's not a theory. Others have the same parent company, though. In the case of Huawei, it's more likely they bought MiUI & made modifications. A large source of revenues for Xiami has been software from the start
Xiaomi usually upgrades their android base software for about 2 years, then the miui for longer. So you can have miui being upgraded on older version android. Bottom line is the average user wouldn't really care. I've always used a Xiaomi phone, my pocophone F1 since 2018 still works great
Me too, I also had a xiaomi redmi note 5 for 4 years and its still pretty funcional, but recently I changed it for a new model just for the quick charge
I think itâs depends where you live. In France, Apple and Samsung are top sellers also because of long term support.

Good for you if your phone works well: personally, i would fear security issues but we are not all the same.đ
@@iAfroTech well I guess that's true, in Latin America xiaomi its a better option because many people can't afford to pay more than 100 dollars extra just for the brand, for many people its like half of their salary, so for the affordability many brands sell a lot of low range phones and xioami its one of the few that sells mid range phones closer to low range price, and in my experience a mid range phone can easily give you 4 years of use just for the hardware. Here many people don't care for the support because there's no support for low range phones, I have never had a phone with support before the xiaomi so that's why I think its a good option for the money

Especially when they work, for example, if I saw a working polaroid camera the size of my fingertips, I would just explode. My mind would be blown so much that it turns into a nuke.) That's a joke. But I love nerdy mini things, so plz add them to your vids! Your style and genre and really everything about your videos are great, so keep it up, I hope I can be like you later on! EDIT: omg I made the mind joke when I was 30 seconds in to the vid and now I see that you made that joke 5 minutes in! Omg I didn't even know!đ
That's so cool! How long does the battery last?
I have a Xiaomi 11T, that came with a 67watt charger and that was already silly fast to me. 210watt, that ridiculous and I love it đ Xiaomi knows how to make a good smart phone.
This is really a BIG step up in every regard when it comes to Redmi phones.
I mean spec wise they were always pushing the limits but now it even looks high end / Premium.
If Apple would implement any of these features (in 10 years probably) they would make a huge deal out of it and give it a stupid name
Contact me for your reward đđ
You know iphone, they are the shittiest company to ever exist
iPhone doesnât need to implement any of this other than software because itâs just simply unnecessary. If the phone battery can last all day without any issue, there is no reason for super fast charging.
@@hahahayi1017 when you charge 1k for a phone you need to implement every technology available, sadly apple uses old tech in their phones and people like you just settle with that
@@noventay4 Iâd rather stick with older more reliable tech than new tech that xiao mi makes out of cheap components . I had a xiao mi phone before, battery expanded in a year and popped the screen and body apart.
Insane value! Xaomi need the recognition they deserve
Yeah but I wish they allowed to lock bootloader after installing custom rom
True, but i kind of dislike the fact that they just keep using these two 8mp ultrawide and 2mp macro all of the fucking time... And none of their falgships have either headphone jacks nor sd card slots
They do allow bootloader unlocking wym they don't allow? Been using my redmi note 5 pro in android 13 lmao
Nvm I misread why do u need to lock the bootloader anyways ?
Why the hell people buy phones without a headphone jack and a memory slot? What's the point? What kind of stupid logic is this? Arrogant corporate tyrants are not giving us the basic features , what the f are they thinking?
Why no one protest against these missing features? What kind of slavery is this? Are people dumb?
If we unite and don't buy phones without headphone jack, then tyrants will have no choice but to include both jack and card slot. What's wrong with you people? These are mandatory essential features every phone must have.
love the content!
A minute of silence for those who are still buying iphone se instead of this phone
I recently bought Xiaomi 11T Pro, which has 120 W wired fast charging. And yes, as Arun said, it feels unreal.
How is it? I was almost gonna buy the phone but I decided against it.
I have the same phone and it's pretty good
@@BadrAlrawi well, it covers all the aspects one can expect out of a phone. And delivers much more!
Besides, it feels lighter in weight than it seems on paper. A bit larger for some but I don't mind the extra screen real estate. It's perfect and ideal even, for consuming media.
The only thing I worry is charging. Because it's insanely and freakishly fast which I'm not used to!
& of course, the spec-sheet is just full of stuff for this phone which you probably know. so yeah, it's a great device in that price!
@@bl3ndingsn0w13 indeed it is!
@@BadrAlrawi i bought a mix 4 when it came out. The full screen with underscreen camera is insane. For charging, it supports 120w charging too. And the feeling of not have to charge over night still feel unreal. I can have 20% battery when i wake up, and during my mornibg routine it will charge to 100% no problem
Damn I didn't even know how good these budget phones have got. Thanks for keeping us up to date with these gems!

Fun Fact The Video Is Also 9 mins Long Good Idea To Tell The Specifications While The Phone Is Charging Nice Idea Bossđ„°
Could you create a video showcasing cellphones to purchase for the approaching Christmas?
The redmi series is great for an enthusiast and great value for anyone willing to install custom roms. Xiaomi is notorious for hampering phone performance with updates but for the price of the hardware it can easily be used for about 5 years or even more
