Ayanokoji deliberately show weakness to find out more about Tsukishiro, this is how you play a long game, letting your opponent think he has the upper hand.
If you haven't noticed it by now, except his dad, Tsukishiro knows the most about Ayanokoji, he already expected Kiyotaka to not make any move there was nothing special in that scene except 2 Geniuses sharing their thoughts

If i remember correctly. from the Light Novel. Ayanokoji was able to save Arisu from falling and even blocked an attack from Tsukishiro before being choke slammed against the wall. Tsukishiro was holding his throat with his hands instead and was actually applying pressure on a specific part of the throat to the point that Ayanokoji couldn’t actually speak. Obviously, he was unable to do anything due to the cameras, so he had no choice but to allow this to happen. Though, he was truly caught off guard by Tsukishiro.

I think this scene actually makes more sense. No matter how fast Koji is he's not going to be able to grab Arisu faster than the chairman can grab him. The only reason he was able to keep her from falling is because the chairman threw a punch instead of immediately trying to pin him which didn't make any sense from a tactical perspective.

A lot of anime characters would have tried to use force not only there, but in general for everything.. that would have led to 1. Higher probability of failure and 2. Making himself a bigger target.. whilst ayanokoji makes himself seem weak, to make his opponents overconfident and underestimate him, and then throw everything back at them in the end

No. Taking the hit and not fighting back is the smart move here. Camera evidence could just be used against him to expel him, and Tsukishiro has full control of camera's, he could easily edit out his own assault. It's not analyzing and looking for weakness, it's looking for a way to evade attacks and potential consequences

Tsukishiro is a new generation white room instructor. He is very powerful. However he didn’t exactly overpower Koji here, he caught him by surprise yes. But the reason Koji didn’t do anything was because of the cameras, Tsukishiro could very easily use them to expel ayanokoji.

Ayanokoji could have taken Tsukishiro, but it's about strategy. Let your opponent think you are at a disadvantage and strike when the moment is right.
Lots of comments are people saying ayanokoji intentionally allowed this for the sake of looking weak and gathering information. This goes to show how terribly the studio adapted this situation from light novel, not only are the events innacurate but the animation and impact is clearly lacking.

It is a good episode. But not that good. The visuals were bad. Also they have made a worse change in this episode. Ayanokoji was able to successfully catch Sakayanagi in the light novel. But in this episode, Ayanokoji was not able to catch Sakayanagi. So yeah, I don't know why, but this is one of the worst change.
