Yamauchi went out shamefully. On top of fact that he threw his friends under the bus the day before, he got cocky, admitting to working for Sakayanagi and started talking smack to everyone. And after it was revealed that he was the one getting expelled, he made a big scene and nearly got beat up. Massive L

There’s only one word to describe him: stupid. He’s the type to accept help without expecting that help to have ulterior motives other than just kindness or charity. And the reason he’s putting himself in a situation where he needs this help to begin with is because he’s a lying undisciplined inexperienced, and to add on top of that, shameless fool that has no dignity. Instead of trying to develop himself to be academically or athletically better throughout the year he already spent in this school, he just fooled around ogling at girls all day. And thanks to that horniness, he got used and ended up being kicked out. Even worse, he couldn’t even say goodbye with his dignity still intact, choosing instead to lash out and look even more pathetic. The least we can expect from him at this point is hope that he can learn from what little experience he accumulated at this school. Though, even that might be a stretch for him.

Like Ayanokoji, he seems not to be emotionally attached to others. the difference imo between them is that Koenji uses his own skills and abilities ALONE, and Ayanokoji do the same while additionally using others like tools.

Koenji is always someone who I enjoy seeing on screen, he’s such a fun character who just… exists in like a vacuum. Unaffected by those around him, doing his own thing.
Is fair to said, this was actually Sakanagi's plan. She has grudges to Yamauchi since the very beginning of the season. Because Yamauchi pushed her to ground by accident (something she really hates caused it reminds her no matter how power or influence she had, she still is a cripple). Immediately after the accident, he said how hot Sakanagi was right in front of her. So she knew she can use him as tool to try to expelled Ayanokoji, but she already knew the upcoming result of doing so. It was all settled against Yamauchi since the first episode.
you're right this was all part of sakanagai's plan. but in the LN they also hinted that yamauchi would've been the first person to get voted to be expelled as the top three candidate in class even without sakanagai. In fact is becuz of what sakanagi did, it forced ayanokoji to orchestrate the horikita sibling into suzune spilling the true traitor to the whole class. I think yamauchi would be expel if none of this happen.

The only class that approached this exam with full maturity was Class B, the moment that the 20Mil annul got announced they all immediatly sent all they had to ichinose to see if they had enough. Then as a group they all decided to draw lots if they didnt get the moola. And on top of that Hubby Kanzaki stepped up the voting day to be the scapegoat in case the school went back on the word of the annulment.
Yeah, it's their major strength, but at the same time, a fatal weakness. Sooner or later, if the teamwork route fails, they would crumble.

Sakayanagi was Dwade to Ayanokoji’s Labron with the iconic alleyoop photo 😂 she knew as soon as she named him it was joever for Yamafraud.
AyanoCHADji was masterful in this arc.
Putting aside his intellect for a second, his true greatness comes from the fact that none of his actions are derived from evil intentions (he doesn't relish in others' agony nor he seeks to make others suffer for his own entertainment) nor from self gratification. Yes, he got everything that he wanted, but many other students got a huge benefit from it. Also, he doesn't care about people knowing his worth.
I'm atheist, but I have to recognize that his qualities are basically those of a savior: he uses his brain and strength to help others grow, he gives a chance at redemption to those who deserve it, he doesn't force a payment out of them (he just takes whatever is useful to him and leaves most of the "spoils of war" to his pawns/allies) and he doesn't seek approval nor celebration.
I'm not saying he's Jesus, but he sure is someone we should strive to become (as realistically as possible, of course).
And yes, sometimes he uses some arguably bad methods (like when he put Kei on a corner to force obedience out of her, or when he shattered Ichinose's heart to jumpstart her inner growth) but the end results benefit him and others at the same time.
He definitely is better than, say, Light Yagami who was just a psychopath who wanted to be worshipped.
No matter how smart or strong you are, it's all useless if you can't use it to make the world a better place.

It was kind of foreshadowing when they made his character very unlikable so even if he gets eliminated the reader wouldnt get upset with the expulsion. You either make the character very unlikable to not cause readers distress or make the character very likable and leave a big scar for the readers who become emotionally invested.
