- Leaky water is a problem no one wants to encounter. If it happens to be inside your washing machine, we have the solution for you! We were blessed that the leak was contained within the drum of our Kenmore top loader, the water intake valve was faulty. Watch our video to see how to replace the valve and resolve this issue.
****Watch until the end for some behind the scenes buffoonery!
Here is our affiliate link to the intake valve we used:

You’re really good at this! Looking forward to seeing more from you
Thank you! We love doing projects around the house and making these videos.
We have several more coming this year.
Thank You! You saved at least $200 doing it yourself!
We love saving money.
Thanks for this video. I have the same problem. Just ordered the part using your affiliate link. How did you know it was this part that needed to be replaced and not another part going bad?
Thank you for watching our video. Apologies for the delayed response. I did some research on what controls the water flow into the washing machine basin and that valve was the main culprit. The piece was inexpensive and decided to try it first. Luckily, it solved the problem. We then created the video to show how to easily replace the valve if anyone encounters the same problem. I hope this helps!
I have a GE washer, how much was the part please? 😊
Thank you for watching and commenting. The part for our Kenmore was less than $10 and I have listed our affiliate link below. Hopefully this helps!

I can't figure out how to share this with my son. I need him to fix mine. It has been leaking for almost a year.
Thank you for watching and commenting. There is a share button below the video you can use to send it to his email, Facebook, etc. Hopefully he will be able to find some use from this video.
Please let us know if we can assist further.

Thanks for watching! We have faith you can fix it and would love to know how it turns out.
How much was the part I have the same exact washer and what was the part called
It is called fill valve. If you google the model number of your machine added to water valve. It will give you the part number.
Apologies for the delayed response. The part on our washing machine was the intake valve and I added our affiliate link in the comments of the video and in this reply. It is less than $10. Thank you for watching and commenting!

@@MrandMrsAceofTradeswhere do you find the machine model number at
On our machine, the model number is found under the lid on the back of the frame above the basin. Hopefully this helps.
Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
This is not like the back of my Kenmore 600 top load machine, does not do me any good at all.
I understand. There are several variations of these top-loaders. Hopefully next time we'll have a video that can help. Thank you for watching.
