Welcome back, friends! In this video, we finish the process of restoring a decorative/ornamental 8-foot windmill for David's grandmother. This was purchased long ago by her late husband, so the sentimentality of restoring outweighed the practicality of purchasing a new one. In part two, we focus on painting, and delivering the completed windmill to grandma! There is also a video for related to ...

Outdoor Countertop Remodel/ DIY/ Concrete to Tile
This is not like the back of my Kenmore 600 top load machine, does not do me any good at all.
I understand. There are several variations of these top-loaders. Hopefully next time we'll have a video that can help. Thank you for watching.
Awesome video. I am going to make some rocks for the front yard. This is the best method I've seen so far.
Very cool! It worked well for us and is still going strong. We have several projects underway and are excited to share more videos with you soon. Thank you for watching!
You did a GREAT JOB with the footage and narrative. Yet your rock looks more like an UFO or a place where a big dog has recently left a big pile of poop on your straw/lawn. Painting needs contrasting colors and the shape sharper edges and variety. Deep scratches, more angles and slopes. (10:48) Nature is not as "regular" as you made it look. Again: for the first time - really great work.
Thank you for watching our video and providing feedback! It definitely looks like an unidentified pile of something, haha. We have several projects underway and will implement some of your feedback then.
Gonna try it. I think I'll make them anatomically correct though just to F with the neighbors!!!
Did I read an imprint , Made in China? 😮😊
Hahaha...I hope not. Thank you for watching our video.
Thanks for this video. I have the same problem. Just ordered the part using your affiliate link. How did you know it was this part that needed to be replaced and not another part going bad?
Thank you for watching our video. Apologies for the delayed response. I did some research on what controls the water flow into the washing machine basin and that valve was the main culprit. The piece was inexpensive and decided to try it first. Luckily, it solved the problem. We then created the video to show how to easily replace the valve if anyone encounters the same problem. I hope this helps!
It’s a great video very cool job
Thank you for watching! Stay tuned, we have more videos to share with you soon.
Awesome
Thank you for watching! We have several projects underway and are excited to share more videos with you soon.
nice job, but it looks sort of like a ufo
Nice first attempt. More videos and you will learn how to perfect the techniques.
Hahaha... It does look like an unidentified object of some sort! Thank you for watching.
Thank you! We are for sure learning along the way and appreciate feedback. More videos will be coming soon, several projects underway.
Just put portland over the top. Use a bonding primer if you want. Use a concrete stain/dye and pour the liquid into the mix and make it colored. Red and black is cool and making it layerwd is awesome. Plus glazing it at the end but with a matte gloss or flat is best. You can make theae better by making them round and then putting them into the ground.
Thank you for watching and for the tips! We will definitely try that when we make more.
I can't figure out how to share this with my son. I need him to fix mine. It has been leaking for almost a year.
Thank you for watching and commenting. There is a share button below the video you can use to send it to his email, Facebook, etc. Hopefully he will be able to find some use from this video. Please let us know if we can assist further.
I have a GE washer, how much was the part please? 😊
Thank you for watching and commenting. The part for our Kenmore was less than $10 and I have listed our affiliate link below. How much was the part I have the same exact washer and what was the part called
It is called fill valve. If you google the model number of your machine added to water valve. It will give you the part number.
Apologies for the delayed response. The part on our washing machine was the intake valve and I added our affiliate link in the comments of the video and in this reply. It is less than $10. @@MrandMrsAceofTradeswhere do you find the machine model number at
On our machine, the model number is found under the lid on the back of the frame above the basin. Hopefully this helps. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
Ohhh, I like this one.
Thank you! Your ongoing support helps us continue doing what we love.
Spooky!
We thought these stories would be a fun addition.
I just got one for free from a guy at a motel 😂 I've been looking for years people want over $300 easily. The windmill head is facing the sky so I'm fixing it lol. What kind of paint do u suggest to paint the end of the tail?
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you were able to locate one. We used Rust-Oleum brand from Home Depot. Started with a rust proofing primer as the first couple of coats to prevent future rust since we've used it before, and it works really well. We then used the yellow and green Rust-Oleum for the color parts. Once it was dry, we put multiple clear coats of sealer to help keep the color from fading. It still looks great and going strong. Please let us know how yours turns out.
I'm horrible at fixing stuff can you come fix mine lol thanks for the info going to try to fix it myself
Thanks for watching! We have faith you can fix it and would love to know how it turns out.
Looks more like a dinosaur turd than a real rock..! I give you points for the grass seeding though.🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha... Yeah it definitely does. Thanks for watching.
Exactly what I thought as he initially formed it. Fossilized dinosaur 🦖 poop in the middle of the lawn. Doesn't look anything like a natural rock. However, I give the project of self learning an excellent grade. 💯
How do you think the styrofoam will hold up over time? Have you done anything like that before?
We believe the Styrofoam will hold up well. We have seen this style used before on other projects that worked and the spray foam insulation, we used on the fake rock has a similar consistency and it is still going strong.
That looks great!!!
Thank you! It turned out really well.
I watched you paint that painting!
Yes, you did. That was an epic night.
I learned more about windmills than I ever knew before
Awesome! We did too. Learning as we go sometimes.
GOOD JOB! ❤️
Thank you. It was very rewarding.
Nope.
haha... We understand. It's not for everyone. Thank you for watching and commenting.
It's too pretty ! Needs some of nature's abuses such as moss and lichen etc. 🙂
Thanks for watching! We appreciate your feedback and that's a great call out. We will remember it for future builds. 🙂
Great job! How many bottles of spray foam did you use? Thanks!
Thank you! We used two cans of spray foam insulation and 3-4 plastic bottles. It is still holding up quite well and we will post an update video later this year.
Awesome job!!! The foam was an awesome idea. I didnt see you add any metal lath for strength so Im wondering how its holding up ?
Thank you! It is holding up very well. This was very experimental, and we are pleased with the outcome. We will post an update later this year to show how it's doing.
Great way to get rid of and recycle plastic.
Thank you! That is our intention. We have several ideas we are working on currently to recycle plastic and keep it out of the landfill, or worse.
The cookies look amazing 😍
Thanks, Maria! The secret ingredient is love.
Bravo on this video! You got a new sub from me! I recently made Chocolate Chip Cookies on my page too and *your dish looks amazing!* Hope to stay connected my fellow chef! 😁
Thanks! Lizzie loves spending time in the kitchen. Maybe one day she will be able to handle the dishes you make on your channel.
What a GREAT helper ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We love our little helpers!!
Very good job
Thank you! We enjoy doing projects with our family and have several more coming this year.
Good, Okay subscribe

What’s the purpose of pre-drilling the screw holes?
Great question! Pre-drilling the holes prevents the wood from splitting and the studs underneath the paneling are made from (really) hard wood so it helps sink the screws. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Love it!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Super. Wygląda jak krowi placek na łące. Pozdrawiam

This a great tip! Thank you for sharing and watching the video.
You’re really good at this! Looking forward to seeing more from you
Thank you! We love doing projects around the house and making these videos. We have several more coming this year.
Thank You! You saved at least $200 doing it yourself!
We love saving money.
Check out the many videos on creating flower pots of all sizes from concrete. You are correct: concrete IS fun to work with!
That's a cool idea. Thank you for the suggestion.
Spray foam is great idea. I bet you can carve it before adding concrete
This is an excellent callout. We will do that for future projects when working with spray foam.
looks like a UFO
Hahaha... It does look like a little like a flying saucer.
May i know what is the mixes ratio of the cement? thank you
Thank you for your question. The ratio is about 1.5 quarts of water for each 40lb bag, but we mixed it slowly until we found the consistency we needed to mold and sculpt with it.
smart crafts and tricks of masters czcams.com/video/1oH8sThD-RI/video.html
If you add reinforcement fiber it becomes very very strong and self supporting. Great idea to use expanding foam as the form. Cement and soft sand on a ratio of 1/3 and add some colour dyes. Great job.
Thank you for the tip, Mark. We have some upcoming projects where we will be using this one for sure.
If someone hasn’t told you already once you get it mostly smooth use plastic bag to make impressions on the outside it makes great realistic impressions of real rock
Great idea
Thank you for the tip, Laura. We have some upcoming projects where we will be using this one for sure.
@@MrandMrsAceofTrades I think your rock looks GREAT! About how many cans of spray foam did you use?
@@casual454t1 We used about two cans of the spray foam insulation. The plastic bottles actually fill most of the inside space. Thank you for your question and watching our videos.
That's a nice boulder.
Hahaha... Good stuff. That'll do, Nobel Steed.
too bad that the annoying music was on the way...otherwise great information.
Thank you for the feedback, Lolitabonita. We have made adjustments for future videos.
