PSA: Since the resolve tree nerfs and many more games + reflecting, glacial augment is the way to go (at least currently). Back it up with zombie ward + ulti hunter, or bone plating + revitalize/unflinching if you need more survivability in a tough lane.
How about in season 14? 😅

Sometimes when we lose the early fight and fall behind so far that we can't take the 2v2, I struggle with decision making in early-early mid game. Often I try to get vision out, or I notice the enemy support roaming and can't follow without face checking. Do you have a video on how to play correctly at those points? When to wait in lane, when to take a detour to mid preventively through jungle or when to play freeze/crash are decisions I'm thinking of.

Hey Cupcake, would you say that attack speed shard + adaptive force shard is a good alternative to double adaptive force if you are taking Zombie Ward just so that killing wards is faster? I feel that less time spent clearing wards allows for more time to roam around the map

Guardián had 90-40 CD and the shield isn’t that big while aftershock has only 20 and even if you don’t deal the dmg, the extra armor and mr sounds neat

Do you still rush Shurelya's in season14? Old Zeke's is back which had always been a favorite of Rakan's; plus there is the Trailblazer. Support upgrades I have actually had success with all of them. Thoughts?
Trailblazer and zekes are great early items on Rakan, no more Shurelyas. I have a season 14 item guide, and I also discuss Rakan in my broken supports video which could help you out :)
@@CoachCupcake Shurelya's continuously outperforms Trailblazer, especially at higher Elos, and for less cost. Trailblazer puts power into the ubiquitous usage of constantly moving faster, and yet Shurelya's +8% is never matched by Trailblazer's 5% +20. It also costs 300 less. It also gives 15% more movement speed at the moment that you need it, which importantly will outpace you from anyone buying Trailblazer.
I'm all for advocating fewer buttons to press for anyone in intermediate and beginners Elo.
I guess my question is whether you would build Trailblazer over Shurelya's in pro? I'm interested in answers aimed at organized play.

As a rakan onetrick with 330k points that has been theory crafting for like 2 years straight, i will heavily suggest not going guardian but instead glacial, guardian has been weak in anything but the highest levels of pro for the past long while but they completely butchered it with the durability patch.
And if anyone wants to go "uhm but how does he have a good winrate if guardian is so weak", may i introduce you to the concept of "a champion independent of runes"? Rakan is fantastic REGARDLESS of runes, but you can make him even stronger by going runes that actually do something instead of 45-hp-shield-on-a-70-second-cooldown guardian.
personally i don't like guardian and i see myself playing glacial augment and unsealed spellbook. now ofc he is top 10 oce and I'm d2.
@@edrdopalo i frankly don't think there's a difference between your skill levels, primarily to get from diamond to challenger you just need to play a lot with a stable mentality, and your knowledge of builds won't magically change when you reach rank one challenger, you can even be gold and know the same about builds as a challenger. It just requires stat knowledge.
that's what I'm saying, guardian also gets nerfed so much. I also like unsealed spellbook

His ability to provide utility, stay alive and extend fights, and build a lot of ability haste safely to get more spells off mainly.
