Incredible to see how old this video is. Enjoyed it. I bought a 2010 FZ8 laat year. Fantastic bike to ride and an excellent engine. I agree on the limitations you mentioned and ive been told an FZ1 standard rear shock fits and solves the saggy problem. I just dont feel confident on getting the bike down as much as id like into bends and i think its the saggy rear shock and also the front feels a little unsettled. If i can sort these out its a keeper for sure
Buy the 2013 model now, its got all the fixes, fully adj. suspension, better exhaust. narrower tank. I think its about the best bang for the buck out there. Im getting the Mivv carbon GP slip-on....best sound imo...adds 5hp to peak. Happy Motoring!
For us, getting those parts were as simple as picking up the phone and talking to the national distributor, as we're a NZ nationally distributed magazine publisher and weekly tv show. I've no idea what it'd be like for you wherever you are. Your best bet is to ask your local dealer or suspension workshop. We originally just did the shock (cause the stock one is pretty poor), with a fairly entry-level Öhlins one that would normally retail for NZD$1000-ish, this sorted, the forks became a problem.
...so then we sorted the forks out with a set of Öhlins, again entry-level stuff (NZD$1500-ish), but much better than those stock ones. We then did the FZ8 aftermarket GTYR exhaust can, this looked much, much nicer and sounded a little bit sportier. Not an over-the-top transformation, but we felt was worthwhile.

You guys really know how to film a motorcycle review! Keep up the good work.
What year model is that my guy? Nice review! I’m probably getting one. Love that 800cc for the price! And love Yamaha!
The FZ8 probably, particularly the one we ended up with after putting a GYTR exhaust and an Öhlins package to sort the suspension out.

did he say 16 thousand doll hairs? 2017 FZ8 is like 9900.00 USD maybe I misunderstood
I love mine!

Have not been riding for 10years and got a MT 01 3weeks ago and love it, but I have just seen the FZ8 and that would of been good too.
I was under the impression it was powered by a 779cc engine. either way, sweet bike.
how tall is this chap
