There's a lot more competition now than there used to be for that type of content. Check out "True Detective" and "The Last of Us" though.

😂😂 I don't have the smack out the hand story but I did get caught slipping. Like he said I got too relaxed becz dude was a familiar face. I sat two bags and my lighter on some steps. Dude asked me what else I got, as soon as I looked down to reach in my pants pocket all I hear is my lighter hit the ground and sneakers taking off down the street. Some of my guys seen him running and asked what happened (I told 'em) they said this the 2nd time he done pulled some shx like that. Damn near 3 weeks later one of my mans was like "Aye, you ain't gonna be seeing ol' boy around here no more." I didn't even respond.

Many law and order episodes have the same actors from the Wire. So they are already similar in that way. But I get why you are saying that about David Simon.
@jrobbin24 Possably. Dick Wolf had New York Undercover under his belt, he's heavy in the game. The Wire was a spinoff of the Corner. Now we even have The Power verse with Kannan, Ghost and Force with Tommy it's all about keeping the writing fresh. I would love to see the full backstory of Prop Joe, Slim Charles, And Brother Mousone. I'll have to settle for compilation clips.
