This video starts a new playlist of useful tips meant to help you repair your car no matter what model it be. As always I will try to do everything with a minimal set of tools or even without it.
The first video shows you my method of removing a stuck wiper arm without a puller. I often remove wiper arms using a wrench, when I haven't got any locking pliers around. Besides, I'll give you some tips useful for windscreen wiper arm adjustment - that is I'll show you how to install the wipers correctly, so that not to make them run into a windshield frame or into each other, which is important during the process of windscreen arm replacement.

This guy's voice is so soothing! Thank you for this great video on getting the arms off.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I'll keep them coming.
I have tried many ways. And finally i found this.
this the best way. Great thanks
Thank you!
Drop of mystery oil and I used a channel lock. Thanks for the video, easy peasy.
I was using a cheap 2 arm puller device which was bending under force, and wasn't getting the rear wiper blade mount pulled off. This method worked within a few seconds. You rock!
As a side note, if your puller device is not staying centered on the bolt, you can put the nut back on halfway and it will give the puller screw something to retain movement, keeping it centered.
After struggling for 20 mins ....this video helped me. Thank you
This is great! So simple and no damage from trying to pry it off. I almost went out to buy a puller. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and commenting!

Thank you for watching! Happy New Year!
Same as other comments, was trying other 'creative' ways with other tools to no avail. Luckily I had an adjustable spanner which was able to do the trick. Took a few seconds once I got the positioning right 👍
@@stuarthegan5885 a shifting spanner?
Thanks man, great tip!
Thanks for watching, I've got more ideas coming soon!
you have another subscriber many thanks!
Thank you too!
Just worked a treat … thank you so much. The only other thing I did, was to wrap a bit of electrical tape to the 19mm jaw so it wouldn’t mark the arm. Happy days

Little antisieze on the splines will help the next time you have to remove them!
Try as I might I can't pry mine off this way. Off to buy a small puller.....cant get one on a Sunday in my small town, got some spanners...persevered and off they popped.
Thanks
Helpful video, I was struggling to remove it when I saw this video today, I started with a 22 then 19. Made it very easy to remove. Thank you.
Great! Thank you for your feedback!
It worked thanks brother
Thank you for your feedback!
Thank you very much Roman! I love your advices. The matter is, not long ago, the guys at the station did some things to my wipers or that plastic covering at the lower part of the windshield, and couple days ago when i was driving home, the right wiper stopped working - it just jerked, but did not move correctly. But i had to use my right one anyway because it was night and raining, and now i guess i have damaged my wiper system even worse...) Thanks to your video i see now how at least to unmount the wipers, and then we will see... Some people say that i can have got into a serious issue...
Thank you for your comments. I am glad that my tips help people. Maybe you will just have to replace an axle driving the wiper. Keine panic.
@@jaguarrroman Thanks, Roman! By the way, following your advice, i eventually found a smoke generator in my city (it was not so easy!:)) - and yes, it showed a substantial leakage somewhere below the manifold - probably, within the lower gaskets... And I plucked up the courage to disassemble and replace everything ny muself, because the technicians in my city cannot do it well to my Jag... Could you give me a tip how to take off the vacuum pipe from the manifold? One of them I managed to take off, but the second one seems lust invincible)) - i am afraid to break everything. What can hold it in its nest if it can be rotated around its axis?
@@dima.english Thank you for your comments, they will help both: X-typers to maintain their cats and me to develop my channel. Of course, I have removed the vacuum pipes many times. You should press down on the plastic ring clip where the pipe enters the manifold, fix it pressed and remove the pipe up. But in most cases the clip is stuck and you can easily damage it. You will surely damage it if you remove the vacuum pipe 3-4 times. So to fix the vacuum pipe in the manifold I use a piece of rubber hose of a diameter fitting the hole and fixing the pipe in it. The hose should be tight enough and its length is about 5-7 mm. Good luck to you and your cat!
@@jaguarrroman Thank you very much dear Roman!)
Thank you.
You are welcome
Where in this world can I find new wiper arms for a 2009 VW Routan mini van help appreciated
There are lots of "2009 VW Routan mini van wiper arms" listed on eBay in this world, I've checked right now. Likes and subscription are the best appreciation. Many cheers!
smart job. I bought puller.
Wonderful video! I have some questions, for a short time I have a jaguar s-type 4.0 v8 from 2001, and I do not know if some things of its operation are abnormal, the fact is that with the car stopped when I move the lever for D, N, R I feel how a pretty strong shake sometimes is that normal? The other is that when driving, for example, when leaving a traffic light, it advances correctly but when it changes gears it feels when it changes slightly and especially when it makes the first change from 1 to 2 speed, the rest are practically negligible, should I be concerned?
Thank you for your comment, really I will not deceive you, my Jag is v6 and manual gearbox, I don't know. Dear fellow Jaguar drivers, help our colleague if anybody knows the answer on above issue.
@@jaguarrroman thank you very much! if you know someone who has the same box I would appreciate it forever
Is the coolant in the reservoir considered low? Or is the engine cold and so the level is normal?
Yes, you noticed quite correctly, the coolant level is low and the engine is cold. I've checked the sealant on pipes joints under the coolant pump when removing the radiator last summer and for some time it was OK, but now it needs adding from time to time. In short , it is leaking somewhere very insignificantly.
@@jaguarrroman i have noticed mine is also losing some coolant every once in a while and needs to be checked too. .....
OK thk i just need to adjust and tight the screw
Thanks for watching!
Worked on first try
Thank you for feedback
Instead of using a drop of oil, can I use WD 40?
As for me, I don't like WD40, because it contains solvent, which may be harmful to painted surfaces.
Worked great on the passenger side, still fighting with the driver side.
You can try and make use of 2 wrenches on opposite sides simultaneously. Good luck!
