- First Ride and Review of my girlfriend's 2013 Honda CBR500R. It's AWESOME. I think it is the best A2 learner motorcycle out there.
Hi guys and welcome to another video! In this motovlog I ride and review my girlfriend's Honda CBR500R, and I absolutely love it. It is a fantastic motorcycle for commuting, handling the twisties and a learner bike for the A2 licence.

Just bought one like this for myself. My very first bike, I'm thrilled!
A friend of mine had both the R and the F and he like them both quite a bit. He rode the hell out of it and it never let him down. He ended up laying the F down on a highway off ramp. Ended up trading the R in towards his FZ10
Lightly tapped the sub and like button ;) I am most like buying a 2013 CBR500R this Friday (8/21) thanks for the review. I think it will be a good starter bike for me. My friend got an R6 and doesn't wear any protective gear, not even a helmet. And he's not a great rider either. I'm a little more sane and don't want to start out that high and I'll always at least wear a helmet. I hope maybe in a few months I can start motovlogging. Just for fun and for safety reasons!
+DeeRent hey man thanks for subbing! You will love the 500, great starter motor and it will teach you allot :) it's not slow too and looks great. Haha your friend sounds like he will not be riding too long :( always wear a helmet... Our heads are not meant to meet the pavement... Good luck mate and ride safe 💯
Thank you duke blade for that help me a lot made my mind up going to get one after I pass my full license
No problem! Beat of luck Chris
Great little bike. We just (today) picked up one for my daughter. Hers is the all red. Good vid bro.
Awesome dude! She looks very happy :)
I rode one of these last year at Donington Park with the Ron Haslam Race School. Only thing I dont like, is the handlebars. Id much rather have flat clip-ons than swan-neck clip ons. What a great engine though, it had the scorpion exhaust on and it sounded pretty good. Got up to 110 so its not slow by any means
Its a great bike for sure. I dont like the position too, i feel too upright, but other than that and the fuel cap issue its all goood
holy shit, i know this is an old video but I live in that village you drove through. that COOP has served me well haha
im riding my first bike a suzuki gs500e 1994 for 10 years now. im thinking of buying this one. i dont mind speed that much but fuel effiency is a must for me. Also practicality is a must for me. i think its possible to put a centre stand on this one right? and its possible to make back suitcases on it right? also within the buddy seat its easy to put hold of 2 helmets on a side hanger and lock it?
No gear indicator does kind of suck...I feel the pain haha.
Cheers mate
nice review!
cheers!
im gonna mildly abuse the like button
That bike looks Really good, So much better than the 2017 CBR models...
Honda really did do a good job on this!
i got the 250 V Twin bike...i call it the Mini Ferrari bike...because its red and modded...XD check
it out man?
allright, Cheers From Finland !
How tall are you mate? just wondering because I'm 6f 6 so a bit worried I won't fit on it
JasonXCVII youre 6ft6? youll struggle on any bike hahah. im 6ft
Is the cbr500r good for motorway journey or just stick to commuting
It's a super all round bike
Hello, I have the 500R and it's great for long journeys but only if you're not carrying much. If you're carrying stuff, get a tidy saddle bag for it and don't carry everything in a backpack like I did recently. Travelling over 150 miles like that even with many breaks, it was so uncomfortable with that backpack on that's packed for a 2 night stay.
Lovely bike though. I'm used to the kickstand needing to be brought up manually and the push to lock fuel cap. I'm used to the horn too but just more accepting of it now because I still press it when I go to indicate sometimes =P
Those aforementioned things are small things to put up with for how fast and economical it is, handles very nice too so far, quite agile.
@@Johny40Se7en hi, I'm thinking of getting one to go long distances. How is the wind protection?
