Great video. I just ordered a GSD gen 2 and clubhouse +. I plan to mostly have kids in the back. Sidekick Wide deck is the obvious choice. My question - can I use GSD panniers loaded with cargo on the back and still have legroom for the kids sitting in the clubhouse + ? It seems like it may depend on how wide you stuff the panniers.

Actually I found another video where you go through your own setup and you’ve answered my question in that video!

Is there a way to haul kids bikes with the storm box installed?

The video explicitly states that the double wide decks are not compatible with the storm box. Can I assume that the double wide decks are compatible with the storm shield?

There is no compatibility concern between the Doublewide Decks and the Storm Shield. - AG

Theres two sturdy holes on the bikes integrated Deck - why does the doublewide deck need a strap and can not be fixed to the second hole??

This is so it can be folded, important for storage and when not in use. - Arleigh

@@ternbicycles We have appreciated the "Passenger" straps to hold the DoubleWide Decks in the deployed down position - the grey ones.
But they are a bit of a faff to fasten every time the DoubleWide Decks are down. Then up for storage!
What are the risks of not using the grey "Passenger" straps at all, please?
A side or angled collision with a fixed or moving object might harm a leg orankle ; any pannier would help cushion the object's impact. Motorcycle and GSD Gen 1 footpegs are not locked in position. Were the bike to fall over sideways, again any pannier is helpful minimising impact.
By having the hinge nuts and washers appropriately tightened, any propensity to rattle is overcome, up or down, and the decks stay up very well.
