the cardboard box is like a fan favorite, classic, stealthy way to move around in the metal gear games. You stop moving in the box if an enemy sees you and then they'll go over to investigate the box you're in slowly and you can just pop out quickly and knock em out and then return to trolling in your box

Snake remembers only the MGS characters. Sam was just in the way. Sam is really good, but Snake is just one if not the most iconic BA in video game history. Counting Big Boss, because Big Boss is awesome.
They actually already know each other, they've both made respectable references to each other in their games, the battle was made to make it look interesting but in actuality snake would've killer him faster than that

opsonicfan358 There were quite a few glitches on Deadpool's character model. Pay attention to his arms any time they're raised over his head. Not to mention the lens flares that obscure the action, making it really hard to see what's going on.
This one looked better, though the camera work was really shaky.
Honestly the Wolverine vs Raiden animation was top notch

Snake could have taken him out sooner too. They made it look closer than it really would have been.

We in the Metal Gear Solid community constantly crack jokes about the character's asses, but it's actually just his suit. His suit is basically made of synthetic muscle fibers matching his body, thus, his suit has the contours of a naked dude.
It's distracting and silly, but yeah, asspadding.

I think the cardboard box started as a joke in the Metal Gear Games that people loved too much to remove.
Ever since then, Metal Gear games started leaning away from the serious story and have always introduced a bit of exaggerated humour in their games.

I would have believed this going either way with the facts presented, but this is probably the first death battle I've agreed with (and called right off gut reaction.) The fight itself was one of the best i have seen on the series.

*Facepalm* Snake's Nanomachines nor Foxdie are not the reason why he aged rapidly and whatnot. He (as well as the other 2 clones Liquid and Solidus) was genetically modified to have shot lifespans in addition to being steral.

Also, the most likely candidate for Vader to fight is likely Dr Doom since it's a very requested fight.

Both these guys are so lethal it will come down to who is detected first in most scenarios, and Sam Fisher has the edge in both stealth and gun handling.

Snake still would have to get close to Sam. Hard to do considering his marksmanship and the fact his sonar goggles and see through walls and of course CARDBOARD FLIPPIN BOXES (a fact the deathbattle seemed to forgot). All Sam has to do is keep his distance from snake until he could land a headshot.
Sam could also trick snake's solid eye. From mgs4 gameplay i've seen the solid eye's radar doesn't tell the elevation of a target. Since Sam's suit blocks IR, he could hide on the ceiling to trick snake. Snake also keeps most of his equipment in the mkII/III metal gear, which can be easily found and shot by Fisher.
And before you say 'snake has dodged bullets before' sam also has access to a shotgun, all talk of bullet dodging goes out the window in the face of multi pellet shot glory.
