Thunderbolt, 508, and 2001 Siren Ambiance Hamilton, OH 10/4/17

Well typically when an ambiance is posted from this town, it's because the siren the person was at failed, but in my case, this was an intentional ambiance video, but it still didn't turn out how I wanted, even when it was intentional.
I set up in this spot to get an ambiance of the Thunderbolts and 508s mixing with the 7/10 port HOR Super Sirex located in downtown that we found out last year was still active. After seeing a video from a resident of Hamilton with the HOR and a Thunderbolt heard sounding off for a tornado warning, I was determined to get a much better video with the Bolts, 508s, and HOR blending together. I had originally wanted to do this ambiance last year, but work and other factors kept me from coming out last fall, so I decided to try it this month.
Unfortunately, the HOR never sounded. I drove by it before and after the test, and it was still in the same position, and I never heard it from where I was, which was only a few blocks away from the HOR.
The rest of the ambiance was still pretty cool though. You can hear at least 4 Thunderbolts, including the one at the FD east of here, the high pitched one on the NW side of town mrboojay13 recorded a few years ago, the one on the west side that Bill tried recording a few years ago that failed, and either the other fire station Bolt, or the one Bill got with the broken blower a few years ago. The 508s were also quite dominant during this test, especially the one at the cemetery, plus you can hear a few distant 2001s.
I'll probably come back next year to try this ambiance again and hopefully by then the HOR will be working.
Butler County is comprised of many 2001-SRNs, a few 2001-130s and 2001-SRNBs, a few Hamilton County T-128s, a few EOWSs, some 508s, a few older Federal and Sterling sirens, 5 Thunderbolt 1000Ts, and the lone HOR Super Sirex.

I know why the HOR didn’t activate: the DTMF tones for it never broadcast.

No, I contacted the county later, and I was told it was shut off because there was roof work going on at the time.

TommyBNSF I see... I was almost sure that I didn’t hear the DTMF and the FSK in the middle of the DTMF, that’s what activated it the other times...
