I was skeptical at first when I saw it, I thought it was just going to be typical over-the-top CGI; but the story and the rest of the visuals pulled me along.

Finally, a movie from my country on one of my favourite reactor's channel. I'm so happy! You'll definetely love Indian Cinema VKunia.
1. The movie you were trying to remember was 'Mad Max' (I guess).
2. The woman at the beginning of the movie who dies in the river is Shivagami (Baahubali Junior's Grandmother) and the woman who's tied up in the palace is Devasena, his birth mother.
3. Baahubali Senior is Amarendra Baahubali and Baahubali Junior is Mahendra Baahubali, both of them look alike (also played by the same actor), so older soldiers and older civilians (who knew senior Baahubali) were able to recognize him as Baahubali.
4. During Junior Baahubali's fight with Kattappa, his face was covered with mud, Kattappa is about to attack him with the spear, just then it starts to rain and Baahubali swings his face to look at him and the mud falls off. That's when Kattappa realizes that it is Baahubali and he falls onto his knees.
S.S.Rajamouli is a genius who brings all these people with such a deep passion for movie making together. First time I heard and was blown away by a movie of him was with "Makkhi", also known as "Eega". Which I wholeheartedly recommend to watch. And for the best experience, know nothing about it.

After that plot twist, we have to wait more than 2 years ... no one can understand our pain at that time when the movie got delayed

Definitely watch part 2. Honestly I watched Part 2 first by accident and it actually kind of worked just as well or better based on the timeline they present. Also has one of the most outrageous CGI scenes in history, hilarious yet epic stuff.
Best reaction for baahubali.. the way the movie is meant to be seen... The character build up for baahubali is insane ..
We Indians also had the same reaction to the ending in 2015 and since then the movie has such a cultural and social impact on the whole India

Rajamauli sir is so good writer. He wrote story, and broke it into 4 quarter and set it up like 1 3 2 4. And Why Katappa killed Bahubali was such a big question it made bahubali the conclusion highest grossing movie in india.

I love the structure of Baahubali! It's like a machete watch of Star Wars. Solid hook, big revelation, extended prequel, epic finale.
If you explain the plot of the movie very simply, it's the exact same plot line as The Lion King:
The main character lives in a commoner's village happily and peacefully until adulthood, but one day a mysterious beautiful woman appears and the man discovers that he is the true heir to the throne. Regaining his true self, the exiled Prince faces off with his tyrannical uncle (who has a scar across one eye) to take back what is his by birthright.

I must appreciate that you just enjoyed the movie rather than nit picking physics in it. It's a theatre entertainment and it goes over the top to create stunning spectacles. So, For SS rajamauli's films you just need to relax and enjoy rather than searching for logic and realism. ❤️❤️❤️

Enjoyed your reaction to the movie. Baahubali Part 1: The beginning and Baahubali Part 2: The conclusion are both so well written. They have all the palace intrigue of a Shakespearian play with a narrative structure that comes from the great Greek playwrights. Story is woven together very well. There are some many brilliant lines in this movie it is hard to say which is best. That said, I love the reason Sivagaami gave for appointing Amarendra Baahubali as next king.
Shadaversity included the battle scenes from Baahubali 1&2 on a video he did and after watching I had to see both movies. There is a lot of detail in this movie which also makes them well crafted as well as entertaining. The music really helps especially the chorus of the lyrics in much the vain of Greek drama.
Bhallaaladeva is the son of Sivigami and Bijjaladeva while Amarendra Baahubali is Bhalla's cousin. This is what made it difficult for Bijjaladeva to accept that Amarendra became king and not his son Bhalla. There is also the fact he didn't become king either. The kingship went to his younger brother. I would say he is a small, petty, bitter man.
And that twist at the end!

One of the better reactions to this film I've seen (considering a lot of Indian cinematic tropes were used in the film without much explanation for this shorthand for those not already familiar with them). Am definitely looking forward to you finding out why Katappa killed Bahubali.
In addition to the other recommendations you will no doubt receive for the rest of S S Rajamouli's oeuvre (he did make an excellent gold-hungry bartender in this film) and the rest of the very action-packed Telugu film offerrings, may I humbly suggest Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in Sanjay Bhansali's first historical romance *Bajirao Mastani* (2015). The chemistry between the leads is fantastic (she later satirically reprised his role in this film for his birthday) ... which is probably why they are married. You'll love the expansive sets and dancing.

❣️❣️❣️Sita Ramam is a classic Telugu (tollywood) movie, easily one of the best in a couple of decades. Love, emotions, patriotism all breathe life into the film. Dulkar and Mrunal Thakur are outstanding with their life like performance, their chemistry and portrayal just brilliant. What a debut for Mrunal! her expressive eyes are enough to convey the feelings of love, affection etc. Rashmika does a decent job and so are Suman as Bishnu Sharma, vennela Kishore and others were all used aptly. The narration is excellent starting from delivering a letter of 1965 twenty years later to Sita by Afreen till the climax as many twists and turns awaits us, leaving us with a heavy heart in the end. Photography is fantastic and music is soulful and melodious. A breath of fresh air in the world of mass masala films. Kudos to the director Hanu, photographer, music director, art director, maithri movie makers and all the artists for their fantastic efforts, not bothering about commercial interests.Go and watch the movie for the sheer class and masterly narration.🙏🙏❣️

His mother didnt bring the Bahubali baby down in the beginning of the film, it was the Queen Mother(aka grandmother) who did, the one who ruled the kingdom and groomed both kids to be future kings. The one in chains is his mother. Or bahubali the Father wife.

This is my favorite Tollywood movie, though I haven't watched RRR yet (I'm waiting to watch it with my friends & family, they're busy rn)
This movie made me cry, and I've rewatched both Bahubali 1&2 exactly 21 times so far. It's still on my PC, on my phone, and on Google Drive. Every time I watch it again, it gives me a new detail I hadn't observed before. That's how deep this movie is!

Since u, watched RRR, Bahubali 1 and 3 in future, I suggest u 2 more best films directed by S.S.Rajamouli. One is 'Eega' which means House Fly. It's a fantasy revenge film and another is 'Magadheera' which is a fantasy romantic action film. Both are worth watching

Personally,I think "Bahubali 2" is better, but it makes no sense without B1 --- the continuity is insane, where much of B1 takes before B2, and B2 takes place in the middle of B1 (with the same actor playing father and son) and then the climax of the story that's built in B2 already happened at the end of B1. Yeah, it sounds crazy, but it's still fun.
