I was just about to start building another microwave based spot welder but updated with a microcontroller. The one I made ten years ago was loaned out and never came back. I had no idea that economical units were available until I found your video. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us.

You should be using "sliced" tabbing wire since you want the welding current to go into the battery terminal. Not just thru the tabbing wire itself.

No sob stories today but for some context, haven't been able to work for like 5 years now, can't ride my Katana cause of the weight which spurred my interest in ebikes, long story short that interest evolved into a desire to build my own (for cost efficiency), and eventually a pretty strong desire to start a non-profit for low cost, 3d printed, ebikes to provide low-income individuals to commute, etc. only problem is I have no idea where to start. Been fiddling around with 3d printing design and accidentally came up with a possible sturdy, low-cost frame (or the beginnings of one) while working on another project. Anyways I found you guys a few days ago and have been binging your stuff to learn a bit about battery building among other things. Just wanted to say the stuff you're churning out is real helpful and would love to see a course on how to build something from ground up. I did watch your video mentioning courses, but I don't think I'd be a major help on telling you what that should consist of. Regardless. Thanks for doing what you're doing.
